Hi All. I’ve been gone from here for a while but now I’m baaaaaack. I am in Georgia. We have stayed well. My sister teaches college. They don’t know when they will be going back to in-person learning. I’m retired so my life didn’t change much with the quarantine. The protests and riots have been frightening. I can’t watch the video of the killing anymore. Heartbreaking. I hope that things calm down soon. This country can’t take much more.

Sorry to hear that, Princess. I hope your recovery is going well. And no. My sister in law, just in the last hour, posted an article about the 82nd Airborne being sent in to deal with riots. She meant That in a good way. And my dad, who months ago told me he would vote for Biden if the Democrats nominated him, now swears he never said that. Positive news, my son is currently quarantining for 14 days because he joined the Howard University student march on the White House this week, and he’s voted in every primary and election since he was old enough. I’m hoping we are teaching our children to be better.

The people I know who support him still support him. How, I have no idea. What I do know is that, if he loses in November, there's no way he will leave. He will say the election was rigged and declare martial law -- he knows if he leaves, he'll be indicted, and if he's indicted, he will go to prison. And when that happens? The protests we are seeing now will look like child's play. I fear for this country.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West ‘Are on Different Pages’ During Quarantine https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/kim-kardashian-and-kanye-west-are-on-different-pages-during-quarantine/?utm_source=email&em_hash=5d989d9ecd736b8131c14072926e952e I'm still shocked this marriage lasted this long.

My favorite comments about this photo are about how the new Omen remake doesn't look that good https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EZlz0gSWsAEjJJV?format=jpg&name=900x900

Well, pre-coronavirus and martial law (February) my dad still was a supporter. For his economic stats, he says. I haven't had the energy to ask recently, or my mother. I just can't deal with the answers. I know they didn't raise me like this. I don't understand. I know I'm not the only GenX in this awkward and awful position either. [polls have shown that older educated white women - aka my mother - are those whose support he appears to be losing...some]

I started off this year recovering from a pulmonary embolism I had just before Christmas. Who knew that would be the most tame thing I would have to deal with this year. This year has been fucking unreal. Anyone know of any Superfan Trump supporters that have finally changed their mind about him?

Still here, still at home! State "opens" on Friday, county where I work still closed through May 15. My county? Rural, conservative - people are apparently out all over the place doing whatever the heck they want (my husband reports to me - he goes in to his office every day - essential work and he works alone....) I don't think I'll be going back in to my office for a while yet - I can function from home and have no need to be on campus..... Went to local butcher last week for a couple of meat bundles. Spent a couple hours vacuum packing for the freezer so I think I can weather the meat shortage for a while. And the veggie garden is doing well so far. Gonna go all "homesteader" on this world (not that we were far from it before - when you live on an old farm in the South......) Ooh - I just ordered the kindle book Prairie Fire - biography of Laura Ingalls Wilder - it was on sale for $1.99 I think.

He'll prob make a TV deal first with full editing control so he can air the entire "documentary" and then brag about his ratings.
