  1. I just finished Head to Head by Linda Ladd, a crime/suspense/chick lit type easy read. Very, very good. Just found out it is part of a series, so I'm looking forward to reading more.
  2. Wow. Suri looks so much like Josh Hartnett to me in that ballerina pic.

    Big Brother

Finale tonight! This season has been dreadful...time to put it to bed. Here's hoping next summer is another All-Stars! I just read that Britney's house burned down early this morning. Such strange timing, but obviously awful.
  4. Tony seems like such a genuinely kind and warm guy...so you know it's bad if he's losing his temper. Kate is worse than I even expected. And the rolling of the eyes whenever the judges are giving criticism? Completely obnoxious. I'm pretty shocked that Jake the Bachelor shows potential. And I agree with the above...love Derek, love Maks and Erin's chemistry, and I think they are being a bit harsh with the scores for Chad and Cheryl. Here's to hoping Kate goes tonight!

    Survivor ~ Heroes vs Villains

I was so mad when they voted off Tom. Besides the fact that I like him personally...it makes zero sense to keep a guy who can hardly walk, let alone compete at a high enough level in competitions to help the team win. Dumb, dumb. I'm rooting for the villains all the way now.
  6. I just finished Bloodfever myself, and loved it. My mother had to beg me to give the series a try...I took one look at the blurb on the back and thought 'monsters and vampires and words I can't pronounce? No thank you.' It's usually not my cup of tea, but I really enjoyed both Darkfever and Bloodfever. I can't wait for the next book! These cliffhangers kill me!

    Julia Roberts

http://www.nypost.com/seven/12292006/gossi...six/pagesix.htm JULIA, HUBBY EXPECTING NO. 3 December 29, 2006 -- JULIA Roberts has a hit movie out and two more films on the way - but her biggest project at the moment is a bun in the oven. Page Six has learned that the auburn-tressed Oscar winner is pregnant with her third child and will give birth next summer. The happy news comes as Roberts flies high in the nation's No. 5 picture, "Charlotte's Web," in which she provides the voice for the beloved spider. Her pregnancy is somewhat of a surprise since the star, 39, had so much difficulty with her first effort to start a family with cameraman hubby Danny Moder, 37. In November 2004, she gave birth to twins Phinnaeus Walter and Hazel Patricia - but only after months of round-the-clock bed rest that followed a scare in which she was rushed to the hospital with false labor. It's not known how the Georgia-born beauty's pregnancy will affect her latest screen projects. Roberts, who commands up to $25 million per movie, is appearing in Mike Nichols' new flick, "Charlie Wilson's War," and has reportedly signed to do "The Friday Night Knitting Club." But it's likely she'll take some time off, as she did when the twins were born. "It's a joy being domestic. It's something I want and something that makes me very happy," she once told an interviewer. Moder and Roberts tied the knot in July 2002 at their sprawling ranch in Arroyo Seco, N.M., near Taos, after he'd dumped his makeup-artist wife of five years, Vera Steinberg, and Roberts had shed her longtime boyfriend, Benjamin Bratt. Whether Roberts' upcoming visit from the stork will be her last is anybody's guess. She once told Oprah Winfrey that she and Moder wanted a big family, adding: "I'm in the harbor of my life . . . Danny has really shined the light for me." Roberts' bliss is eons away from the old days when she was a swinging bachelorette with such boyfriends as Kiefer Sutherland, Liam Neeson, Matthew Perry and Daniel Day-Lewis. There was also a blink-and-you'll-miss-it marriage to Lyle Lovett. Roberts' spokeswoman, Marci Engelman, couldn't be reached for comment.

    Ashlee Simpson

It looks as though she's had some work done. Her nose looks thinner to me (and a little red around the edges, hmmm) and her lips are definitely fuller. Pics: http://www.egotastic.com/entertainment/cel...ly-weird-000945

    Sheryl Crow

What is it with celebrity splits and mentioning, "careful thought and consideration" or whatever variation of the week they want to use in the press release? It started w/ Brad and Jen, then Nick & Jessica used it, now these two.God, I feel pathetic for noticing, let alone griping about, this.

    Brittany Murphy

http://people.aol.com/people/articles/0,19...1156366,00.html Brittany Murphy Plans Her Dream Wedding Saturday Feb 04, 2006 6:00am EST Brittany Murphy is in the mood to celebrate. And why not? She's newly engaged – and her mom, Sharon, has been cancer free for more than a year now, PEOPLE reports. On Dec. 31, Murphy accepted a proposal – along with a platinum Tiffany solitaire ring – from best-boy grip Joe Macaluso, 32, whom she met on the set of her 2004 romantic comedy Little Black Book. Almost instantly, "I turned into a big, gushy, happy bride-to-be," says the 28-year-old actress and Edison, N.J., native. As for Murphy’s mom – with whom the actress and Macaluso share a home in L.A. – Sharon, 53, has been cancer-free for more than a year after undergoing a double mastectomy in 2004. Between paging through bridal magazines and prepping to shoot Sin City 2 this spring, the actress spoke with PEOPLE's Carrie Borzillo-Vrenna. FINDING MR. RIGHT We both traveled 3,000 miles to find out that the love of our lives was just across the Hudson, where we grew up. (Macaluso is from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn; the pair started dating in the summer of ’04, shortly after Murphy split with her then-fiancé Jeffrey Kwatinetz, CEO of Hollywood talent agency the Firm.) I just knew he was a nice guy – and devastatingly handsome. I asked him to go to the movies and dinner. It was the first time in my life that I ever asked someone on a date. He didn’t want to be Rebound Guy, but I knew there was some connection there. We made it to date 17 without kissing. It’s a true, old-fashioned romance. THE WEDDING PLANNER I have a whole stack of bridal magazines. I’m thrilled about it. When I was a little girl, I always wanted a winter wedding at the Plaza Hotel. I always loved the winter and snow in New York City. But we don’t know. HER MOM’S BATTLE My mom is my earthbound angel. She is the strongest human being I know. (After battling breast cancer while Brittany was filming her breakout role in 1995's Clueless, Sharon Murphy had a relapse in 2003.) We watched Gilmore Girls every time she had chemo. If she was in the hospital for a month and a half, I was on a cot in the hospital for a month and a half. After the chemo finished, her incentive was to go to the Little Black Book premiere, which was so adorable. Recently I went to London to film Love and Other Disasters (with Orlando Bloom and Gwyneth Paltrow), on the heels of spending every single day in the hospital for a couple of years. I went to London as a girl, and I came back a woman. It coincided with a crucial time in my life in every aspect: in love, in career and in health. SHE'S FRIENDS WITH HER EX Jeffrey is an amazing friend of mine, one of my dearest friends in the world. (Murphy had previously dated Ashton Kutcher.) God has a way of placing me back in the same situation under different circumstances if I don’t learn from it. So I try and learn the best I possibly can from every instance in life. CHANGING HER TUNE I'm in the process of making an album right now. I've been writing music for many, many years. I grew up on a lot of jazz, and then I'm a complete hip-hop generation kid. (She recently recorded a single, "Faster Kill Pussycat," with electronic dance- music artist Paul Oakenfold.) Paul is a friend of mine and he asked me to come to the studio. Twenty minutes later my vocals were down. It’s an incredible song. STRUTTING HER STUFF I just walked the runway in Milan for Dsquared! For a 5' 3 1/2" girl from New Jersey from a working-class family, that was pretty thrilling.
