Cameron Diaz & Kelly Slater: Surfing Buddies MONDAY JANUARY 22, 2007 08:15 AM EST By BJ Reyes After her post-Golden Globes spat with ex Justin Timberlake, Cameron Diaz headed to Hawaii for some quality time in the sun and surf – and champion surfer Kelly Slater was on hand to keep her company. Slater cleared his schedule to meet up with Diaz when she arrived in Oahu on Tuesday, sources said, and the pair have since been spotted at various spots along the islands's North Shore. They shared a sunset dinner Wednesday night at the renowned Haleiwa Joe's, sources said, and also stocked up on provisions at a local grocery store Friday night. "She was with him. They were just shopping," said a witness. And, of course, they spent plenty of time outdoors, playing a round of golf at the Turtle Bay Resort, according to a source, and hitting the beach. "Someone saw Kelly with a really hot girl in his car and we looked and it was her," said one observer. Added another, "They were just cruising around." Diaz also took some time to be on her own. She was reportedly seen shopping over the weekend at Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, a few miles from tourist-heavy Waikiki. Diaz and Slater, both 34, are old friends: He joined her on a 2005 conservation expedition to Honduras for her MTV show Trippin'. An eight-time world champion surfer who acted on the first season of Baywatch and has been linked to Pamela Anderson and Giselle Bundchen, Slater calls his native Florida home but has a house on the North Shore. "He's a nice guy. He's very, very focused, which is what makes him such a good surfer," says Hawaii-based surfing photographer Carol Cunningham. Could romance be brewing? Reps for both Diaz and Slater could not be reached for comment, but one thing is for certain: the pair share a great love – for the waves.

    Heidi Klum

Asked for his reaction to the new romance reports, Seal previously told Tmz.com, "You know that's what happens when two people separate. They move on and that generally means other people in their lives. I certainly don't expect Heidi to all of a sudden become a nun. But as always my main priority is the emotional wellbeing of our children. "To be quite honest, if there is going to be somebody else in their lives, I'd much rather it was a familiar face. I guess the only thing I would have preferred is that... Whilst I didn't expect any better from him, I would have thought Heidi would have shown a little bit more class... before deciding to fornicate with the help, as it were." He then added, "I guess you now all have the answer that you've been looking for for the past seven months", hinting his ex may have been unfaithful.

New Charlie Sheen Texts: 'The Beast Is Alive' By Joseph Barracato Tuesday March 08, 2011 09:30 AM EST Now officially fired from Two and a Half Men as of Monday, Charlie Sheen is gearing up for his confrontation with Warner Bros. In a text to PEOPLE, Sheen writes: "Put yourself in my shoes for one warlock nanosecond. At some point there is nothing to say. Only war to wage … The winds are howling tonight. The gods are hungry. The beast is alive. And awake. And deadly." He's also reaching for a new weapon – a machete. After encountering paparazzi after a business meeting to discuss merchandising with Live Nation in Beverly Hills Monday, Sheen – accompanied by one of his so-called "Goddesses," Natalie Kenley – made his way to the roof of the building, reached into his suit jacket, whipped out his large, shiny blade and frantically waved it in the air. (See video clip below.) In a message, Sheen, 45, added that his machete would be used to destroy anyone who messed with his family. Sheen will likely need plenty of legal weapons, as well: In response to the alleged $320 million lawsuit Sheen is preparing against Warner Bros., which produces Two and a Half Men, the studio says they expect the actor to pay them handsomely for all of the show's lost revenue since it's been placed on hiatus.

Why Charlie Sheen Was Fired from Two and a Half Men By Mike Fleeman Monday March 07, 2011 08:00 PM EST What's the opposite of a winner? In page after page of damning language, the producers of Two of and Half Men justify firing Charlie Sheen by painting the actor as a self-destructive, sick addict who's deteriorating mentally and physically while scorning those who have tried to help him. In an unusually personal appeal, an attorney for Warner Bros. Television tells the actor's lawyer in a letter that those close to the star should "focus your energies on what no one so far has been able to do: get your client the sustained, rigorous and effective treatment he so urgently needs. "It is clear that [sheen] has no intention of agreeing to the intensive evaluation and treatment that his condition requires," says the letter. "It is also clear he does not believe he has a problem and that he will continue to conduct himself in a destructive manner." The letter was first obtained by TMZ and its authenticity was verified to PEOPLE by sources close to the show. Letter Calls Sheen 'Very Ill' The 11-page letter from Warner Bros. Television counsel John Spiegel to Sheen's lawyer Marty Singer is accompanied by 10 pages of links from PEOPLE.com and other media outlets reporting on Sheen's recent statements and behavior. Warner Bros. Television produces Two and a Half Men, which is broadcast on CBS. "At the outset," begins Spiegel, "let us state the obvious: Your client has been engaged in dangerously self-destructive behavior and appears to be very ill." The letter goes on to describe what producers characterize as one attempt after another to help Sheen, 45, by visiting his home, reaching out to his family, giving him time off and even making a private plane available to take him to rehab after his most recent highly publicized partying ended with the actor in the hospital. "Regrettably, Mr. Sheen failed to continue with his rehabilitation program," says the letter. "The result has been a series of well-chronicled and increasingly erratic outbursts that have culminated with Mr. Sheen's public tirades of the last few weeks." Along the way, Sheen noticeably has lost weight, missed rehearsals, flubbed his lines and made "inflammatory comments" – mostly directed at the show's co-creator Chuck Lorre – that were "poisoning key working relationships." Sheen's Lawyer Responds The star's behavior, characterized in the legal jargon of "felony offenses involving moral turpitude," combined with his missed work, physical change and other alleged transgressions, forced Warner Bros. Television to fire Sheen, the letter says. Sheen's lawyer Singer responded by calling the termination an "absurd and ridiculous" retaliation against Sheen for daring to criticize Lorre, a powerful figure at CBS. "We feel this is nothing more than Lorre flexing his muscles," says Singer, "and we intend to respond accordingly." • Additional reporting by CYNTHIA WANG, ELIZABETH LEONARD and KEN LEE

Charlie Sheen Fired From 'Two And A Half Men' By NELLIE ANDREEVA | Monday March 7, 2011 @ 1:34pm PST It's over for Charlie Sheen on the hit CBS comedy Two and a Half Men. The series producer Warner Bros. TV just released the following statement: "After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on Two and a Half Men effective immediately." Just like the studio did with its previous statement announcing the cancellation of Two and a Half Men for the rest of this season, Warner Bros. TV stopped short of announcing the end of the series, meaning that continuing the sitcom with a new actor next season is a possibility. Two and a Half Men has one more season under a multi-year pickup at CBS. There has been a lot of speculation about CBS and Warner Bros. TV putting together a wish list of actors to potentially succeed Sheen on the show, with names like John Stamos and Rob Lowe bandied about. Sheen's termination by Warner Bros. TV follows a relentless media blitz by the Two and a Half Men star who has been taking numerous swipes at CBS, Warner Bros. and the show's co-creator executive producer Chuck Lorre over the past 2 weeks. He also launched a Web-based series, Sheen's Korner, and is in talks with HDNet for unscripted/talk show projects. Today's decision is sure to fuel a legal war between Sheen and Warner Bros. In preparation, the studio last week hired top attorneys Ron Olsen and John Spiegel. Sheen's litigation lawyer, Marty Singer, last week fired a letter to the studio complaining of its treatment of the Men star over the production shutdown of the show but stopped short of launching a full-blown lawsuit. It is a sad end to one of the most successful sitcom run for an actor. For the past (almost) eight seasons, Sheen reinvigorated his career amassing a fortune along the way, commanding about $1.5 million an episode under his most recent contract for the show. Expo gets glimpse of 'Avatar' Annual event gets peek of Shyamalan film By SAM THIELMAN The annual licensing expo kicked off its last year at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Gotham with a telescopic view of a new Nick property: M. Night Shyamalan's "Avatar: The Last Airbender," a live-action theatrical adaptation of Nick's anime-inspired show that's slated for a 2010 release. Paramount Film Group prexy John Lesher and Shyamalan were on hand to tout the pic. Shyamalan, who wanted to do the adaptation and sought to win Nick over, recalled that his words to the film's producers were "I think you have 'Star Wars.' " He then led into a presentation of the film's "sizzle reel" -- concept art for the film's settings and costumes intercut with short clips from other pics a la the fan-made fake "Star Wars" trailers that preceded the release of "Attack of the Clones." New pic is a shot across the bow in the war between Nick and Cartoon Network for young viewers: "Ben 10: Race Against Time," Cartoon's live-action adaptation of its anime-inspired show "Ben 10," gave the net its highest ratings ever, and Cartoon retains a leg up with advertisers due to its predominantly boys aud despite lagging Nick significantly in the ratings. Nick & Viacom Consumer Products prexy Leigh Ann Brodsky touted "Avatar's" versatility, saying that she applauded the success of "Ben 10" as well. "It's interesting anytime a great property can resurface in a new medium," Brodsky observed. Warner Bros. was on hand to tout its summer success story: "Speed Racer." Even though the film drastically underperformed, Warner's Brad Globe noted that Mattel's toy lines in particular had been surprisingly successful. "We continue to sell 'Speed Racer,' " said Globe. "In fact, it's comparable to the last 'Batman.' " Up-and-comer Chorion exhibited a varied library of properties, including a CG cartoon of classic children's book "Olivia," set for Nick in the first quarter next year. The company has found success with its lifestyle-centric rebranding of the "Mr. Men" line of children's books, which has spawned endless T-shirts and accessories, as well as a show on Cartoon.
