I would to know the back story on this....

As I listen to "Big Girls Don't Cry" for the umpteenth time (on my internet radio station - I am blocking her now) and her other song "Glamourous" I have to wonder who in the hell writes this crap and why would a grown woman sing it??? Big Girls Don't Cry - " and I'll be missing you like a child misses his blanket" What an awful simile Glamourous - "I'm glad my daddy told me so, he let his daughter know." Is this confirming she is indeed female? OK vent over - and I did block her

She's only on a board. I have a corp-to-corp arrangement with where I work. I'm the head of a corporation! Granted - I was the CFO of a corp once (my husband's). This is major corporation.....Not saying she isn't qualified. If it wasn't her father's corp, she wouldn't be on it....

How many 25 year olds do you know on the Board of Directors of anything? I wish they would stop saying her father hasn't helped her..... She seems competent and up to the task, but she would not have gotten there without the help.

My daughter has to read March by Geraldine Brooks and The Killer Angels by ??. This is for 11th Grade honors. I ordered them, got them and they are still sitting in the same place. I love to read and can't get myself to pick them up.. Both civil war novels. March is about the father of the Little Women March girls The Killer Angels is about Gettysburg told from the standpoint of Lee... Not appetizing selections, if you are looking for stimulation

Do you mean around the eyes generally, or under them? My child often has dark circles under his eyes, and sometimes I do, too. Our allergist says they tend to run in families where allergies are present ... can't remember why or the medical term for it. But we're def not anemic. Also, that girl is incredibly pale, so any circles are going to stand out like crazy. Maybe it is just that. She just looks very unhealthy to me. The first thing I thought of when I saw the picture was the "Les Miserables" girl. Since she is so into Broadway, maybe she is dressing her up to be Cosette or Eponine (sp)?

This is just wrong on so many levels..... Iwill become indignant as soon as I stop laughing

BTW freelancegirl... I am going to the beach next week. While perusing lists of beach reads your book came up, it was highly recommended! My local library doesn't have it yet, and I don't live near a bookstore, so I am going to stop on the way and pick it up!!

I want the old Rosie back - you know the one that gave out free things all the time, who shot koosh balls, and had a great relationship with her co-workers..... I know (now ) it was all an act, but a fun act, and one that wanted me to watch everyday. Bitter Rosie is mean and whiny. I too, lean politically more with Rosie than with Elizabeth - OK a lot - but I will listen to Elizabeth any day before Rosie. Rosie is the Rush Limbaugh of the left- which is NEVER a good thing.

Did anyone see when Jon Stewart was talking to Meredith Viera about Star? Supposedly, one of the assistants on his show was an assistant for Star, and she(the assistant) was responsible for lotioning Star's thighs. Notice that is not included in the above......
