For some reason I am bothered by pictures of these children in thier swimsuits. Maybe they could have just a teeny bit of privacy? However, it is great to see them out without veils over their faces. That was freaking bizarre, and the writer who gushes about how normal the kids are and how great a dad MJ was must not remember the way they were raised. And they have no friends. And Blanket needs a real name different from his brother's name. But it seems like Katherine is really trying to do well and I think that she is.

What people don't want to understand about DV is we aren't talking about shoplifting a candy bar or running a red light. We are seeing the aftermath of a violent, physical assault, one that if committed by a stranger would be treated as a serious offense. Because it is committed by a "loved one" it is deemed ok. Not so bad. Just an anger management thing you know. Just a silly youthful indescretion. And her isolation has kicked in big time now, cut off from family and friends, no source of support for her. So textbook. I did this for a living for 12 years (legal advocate, protective orders, emergency shelter, etc) and I am so burned out on it. She needs counseling and intervention. He needs to experience the consequences of his actions and serious batterer intervention. But I don't see that happening. It seldom does. Memories fade with the bruises and she just thinks she must have deserved it anyway. Besides, she luvs him. And he must luv her or he wouldn't get so passionately angry at her, right?

Golly, who allows a person to behave like that? Are you a professional or not indeed.
