I liked the first film and I’ve read the source novel, but my favourite thing is the Universal Studios water ride.

I enjoyed the Jurassic Park recap, haven’t watched that in years.

You’re a better person than me. 😂 I have absolutely no doubt that being a royal is crap at times with unwarranted press intrusion, but it also comes with a massive amount of privilege that they continue to benefit from, yet don’t appear to recognise.

I also wanted to post this, regarding the BBC's interview with Princess Diana in the 1990s: Princess Diana interview: What did Martin Bashir and the BBC do? - BBC News Essentially the interviewer falsified documents etc and Diana might never have done the interview if he hadn't. William and Harry have both issued statements, I thought it was interesting that William referred to "my" mother while Harry went with "our" mother, suggesting he is still at least trying to produce a united front. Harry’s gone nuclear with public criticism of the Queen and Prince Charles in this Apple TV series, if what I’ve read is true (I’m not invested enough to listen). Whether all of his criticism is accurate or not (and I imagine some of it is), you’re not going to convince me now that Harry wants a quiet life not linked to the royal family. he’s clearly more than happy to take the publicity (and money? Not sure if any had changed hands for this) by talking about them. In short I am happy to believe they are all as bad as each other. 😂

I can tell Beatrice and Eugenie apart but that’s it. 😆

The Daily Mail indeed claimed this was Beatrice getting revenge for H&M announcing their pregnancy at her sister’s wedding. I left that bit out cos I was trying to be nice although I was not nice enough to bother reminding myself of Beatrices husbands name so I could include him.

I feel like that’s not the first secret love child claim ever made to be honest. 😂 I love that “the likeness speaks for itself though”, no need for pesky stuff like DNA testing.

Haha yes, agree the alcohol helps! I’ve scraped more than a few heels, I love them but still WFH so no need for them now. Spend my days in slippers!

I think that’s part of why they ended up walking on the road - negotiating the cobbled section in heels would have been a minefield, I speak from bitter experience!

I admire the practicality of planning it in advance, and I think I’d watch a practice of mine too. Might want to tweak it! 😂 My dad had v strong views on what he wanted for his funeral and it made things much easier when the time came, no family debate needed. I just spotted a pic somewhere of Beatrice and her husband holding hands too. I also noticed Sophie had her arms around her kids as the Land Rover passed them on the way to the funeral.

Double post but I liked the inclusion of the sugar pot he used for pony treats. Things that make you realise it was about the loss of a human, not a royal. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-56762822

I saw Eugenie and Jack holding hands at the same time. I think once the Queen left by car, the others declined their cars to walk back, which I thought was nice given it’s a beautiful day here. Its been dominating tv here as you might expect but I only watched the coffin being moved from the castle up the steps into the church and the national moment of silence. They were all just leaving as I came in from the garden.

    Celeb Death Watch

Helen McCrory, who played Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, has died at the age of 52. I think they kept her cancer fight private so this was a massive shock to me. A brilliant actress; wife to Damian Lewis. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-56770593

That’s what Google suggested the US position is, interesting that the takes are different.

My mercenary love of sparkle aside, I think I’d give the ring back if I was ending it, or it was mutual and amicable. One of my friends still has her engagement ring from a mutual split in her early 20s, her ex insisted she keep it, and has said she has no idea what you do with it.

I was prompted to Google this and in U.K. law, it’s considered a gift so can be kept by the recipient, unless there is evidence that it was agreed it would be returned on failure to marry. ive had stones from family engagement rings passed down reset into something more my style so I could do that. 😂

Do you think she gets to keep the ring? If I was her I’d want to keep the ring(s).

I though the briefcase show was Deal Or No Deal, because wasn’t Meghan one of the box openers? (It was boxes in the U.K. version but I thought it was cases in the US one?) After that I’m stuck because I didn’t know if anyone else apart from Meghan had become famous after being on US DoND. And I wasn’t even sure I’d correctly remembered her being in it. 😂

    Coronavirus

We have a dedicated group at work looking at the impacts of having an aging workforce and one of the specific streams they’re considering is the impact of the menopause, so we’ve had some interesting chats as part of that. One of my uni friends is a decade older than the rest of us and she had a hysterectomy about ten years ago, and is happy to talk about that. Hopefully the tide is changing with people being willing to discuss these things!

    Coronavirus

I’ve been tracking for years and think I’ve hit perimenopause too, last year I noticed I was now having a day or two every month when I would feel incredibly anxious and close to tears for no real reason, and on checking my tracking app it literally always coincided with predicted ovulation. I joked with my husband it was my body’s last ditch panic on realising I was never going to procreate. 😂 My mum will get her second jag next week! 🥳

I saw this on Twitter too, it’s fascinating just reading the anecdotal evidence people were responding with!
