I think the majority of the rumors are either Enty OR Blind Gossip (or both) -- but the two of them often seem to share the same fanfiction sites sources, so who knows

As I remember from another BI, she did this to prevent her oldest kids from becoming involved with more experienced girls who might take advantage of the teens and trap them (financially) with an unwanted pregnancy. Makes sense, but I'm not sure she's found a good solution to the problem. I also think she's very good at deluding herself, so if this is true she likely believes it's in the girls' best interests.

you make a lot of good points, WitchKitten. I too was waiting for Dorne to be like...yeah! We want independence too! Like why wouldn't they? And what would stop the Iron Islands from joining suit? I feel so bad for Drogon and the thing isn't even real. I cared more for him than for any of the actual characters. One telling point is that I picked up my phone a lot during this season, something I'd never have done previously. I'm just glad it's over ?

YES!! ?? I have to say I found a lot satisfying about this ending, all things considered. If Jon sat on the throne, I think I'd have felt cheated. BUT one has to wonder how "good" Bran is. He is obviously omniscient (or as close to it as possible) yet did nothing to try and stem the number of casualties. An interesting thing to ponder, given that GRRM thought there are no happy endings, that the "wheel" will never be broken. At least Hodor didn't die for nothing lol
