    What are you reading?

Does anyone read Clive Cussler? I've been reading them for years (since I was old enough to figure out how to use a chair to reach Raise the Titanic on the upper shelf in the living room bookshelf ) Anyway, I just finished the newest book, Plague Ship, and despite the formulaic writing (he uses co-writers now, has for years--guess it's better than ghosting because the co-author gets credit?) Anyhoo, the villains in the new book are a cult called the Responsivists. Based in Hollywood with some weird alien beliefs. Sound familiar??? Who said with the end of the Cold War we'd run out of good fictitious villains??

    Sci Fi TV

Last night, the Top Gear with David Tennant aired. So funny, I adore him. Love Jeremy from Top Gear as well! (originally aired in the UK in Dece 2007 I think, but new to US on BBCAmerica) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmYibCSrOMg Right around 2:40-3:00 is the highly amusing discussion of his male parts ;-)

    Matthew McConaughey

Well apparently he wouldn't be that interested if I wanted to play with his bongoes, so.....

    Matthew McConaughey

But that's the beauty of the photo--all the pleasure (of his naked well-sculpted torso, upper arms & dimples) none of the pain (of his unshowered smell or stupid utterings that come from his mouth.) I do think he'd be great fun to get stoned and play bongos with, though

    Matthew McConaughey

I would guess Rooster is NOT the name on his birth certificate--just a good ole boy Southern nickname I too like the name Levi--as Branchop said, different & interesting but with a history & tradition, not just pulled from thin air.

    Elizabeth Hurley

I guess I'd rather see this somewhat odd end of the spectrum over the court divorce and custody battles...At least they're all civil. More than civil. Loving Since Bing was such a jerk, if I were Hurley I'd be thankful there were other men to step in and be friendly, loving & supportive--to her and her son!

    Shannen Doherty

Even though I preferred the earlier seasons of Charmed to the later seasons, I couldn't help but notice Doherty is one of those actresses that can only do one facial expression. She pouts and looks like she's about to cry. For like 3 years on Charmed. Oh well.

    Jerry O'Connell & Rebecca Romijn

Rumors have been that Rebecca & John Stamos had a somewhat open marriage, threesomes, etc. right? So I would assume that she and Jerry O'Connell do as well. Which means maybe bi-curious? I haven't heard flat-out gay rumors for him. He had a bit of the swinging bachelor rep for a while. I didn't think the marriage would work, but it's been a couple years now (I know, I know, my bar is low....) They seem to have fun together---I love the photos of them on the tandem bike

    Jerry O'Connell & Rebecca Romijn

I've had a crush on him since Sliders

    Oprah Winfrey

To be fair, the "good stuff" wasn't a direct Oprah quote or from her blog--it happens to be the word choice of the Daily News staff writer describing the diet. I do just love that Oprah is like so many normal women--makes me feel better that if Oprah, with her billions, STILL struggles with her weight, I don't feel so bad about my own struggles. This is probably the only thing I will admit to liking about Oprah

    Matt Damon and Wife

I do like that he's willing to gain weight for a role--Sexiest Man moniker be damned

    Colin Farrell

I thought the naked photos/video don't tend to, er, "support" that interesting bump in his shorts?

    Colin Farrell

Yeah, but would you have understood if it had read Cuchullain instead of Adonis? *yes, I'm the dork that took medieval celtic literature in college and contemplated getting an advanced degree in the subject....

    Colin Farrell

PR plant or not, I sorta tend to agree And I don't normally find him all that sexy. But lean AND muscled turns me on....Plus, his hair just looks beachy not greasy the way it normally does

    What are you reading?

Well, you've summed up the main reason I don't do book clubs I feel certain I must have read a couple of her books at some point, but nothing is springing quickly to mind, which means I didn't enjoy them....

    Martha Stewart

So the UK won't arrest Amy Winehouse for her blatant and public disregard of the laws of the country, but they deny Martha Stewart a visa? Um, ok...... [yeah, I'm a Martha fan, have been for years and years, what can I say....]

    Heidi Klum

I can see the Seal. It's like they wrote with script resembling wave crests, if that makes any sense.... Wave crests and an ekg....

    Ashlee Simpson

I think Creepy Joe was referring to Jessica's DDs, not Ashlee's... I think the original post was referring to the fact that now Creepy Joe can admire the large breasts of BOTH daughters, as the pregnancy boobs cause Ashlee to catch up to Jess in that area.....

    Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson

God he still has that awful haircut. Did anyone else envision him with hair that bad while reading Angels & Demons or DaVinci Code? I certainly didn't!!!

    Ashlee Simpson

OK, ok, I'll stand alone in admiring the dress

    Ashlee Simpson

Sad, really, but we must operate on a sliding scale. I think one reason the lowcut front doesn't bother me is that it has 3/4 length sleeves. If it had spaghetti straps, I would probably feel she's overexposed (if a dress would even stay up with just thin straps and that plunge) But by being a maxi dress with a nicely defined bodice & waist, but sleeves, I think the proportions are good. That's my fashion critique of the day

    Ashlee Simpson

Her nipples are better than Britney's, and I'm seeing less of them, so I'm still ok with the outfit

    Ashlee Simpson

Oh I think that dress is cute! I'm not crazy about the color (I like brown but that's an odd shade)

    What are you reading?

When that happens to me, I wonder if I had too many glasses of wine while finishing the book, and have to go back and re-read the final chapter again

    What are you reading?

I know I mentioned when I read the first book, am now on the second book by Ariana Franklin: The Serpent's Tale. I have about 100 pages left. Love it! As much as the first (Mistress of the Art of Death). Trained in medical forensics in 12th century Italy, brought to England by King Henry II to solve crimes for him. Interesting characters, well developed, good history, and a bit of intriguing medieval CSI for those of us who like that sort of thing!
