supplying cocaine when she returns to Britain.

 

 

The Sun reported today the besieged supermodel will be asked to attend a

police station where she will be formally arrested and interviewed under

caution.

Moss apologised in a statement last month after the British press published

photos allegedly showing her snorting cocaine in a London recording studio.

 

 

"I take full responsibility for my actions," Moss said.

 

 

"I also accept that there are various personal issues that I need to address

and have started taking the difficult, yet necessary, steps to resolve

them."

 

 

Moss has since checked into a US cocaine rehabilitation clinic in Arizona.

 

 

The cocaine scandal prompted two fashion houses - Britain's Burberry and

Swedish-based Hennes and Mauritz - to sever ties with 31-year-old Moss.

 

 

US film star Sharon Stone has defended Kate Moss over recent allegations

that the model took cocaine, saying the twig-thin Brit did the right thing

by apologising and everybody should be allowed a mistake.

 

 

"I understand that she's apologised and changed her life and I think that's

the most important thing that's happened," Stone told a news conference in

Paris convened to present her as the new face of the French fashion house,

Christian Dior.

 

 

"We have to be aware that people are allowed to make mistakes in their

lives," she added, challenging anyone to say they had never made an error.

 

 

"If you are in here and haven't made a mistake, I'd like to meet you,

because I've been waiting for Jesus - and today would be the day."

 

 

"I think growing up ... in the public eye is a tremendously difficult,

painful procedure," the Basic Instinct star said, adding that the decision

by the companies to drop Moss from a promotional contract "says more about

the house" than about the model.

 

 

France's Chanel said it would not renew Moss's contract when it expired this

month, but did not comment on whether the decision was linked to the cocaine

scandal.

 

 

Stone, 47, who made headlines earlier this year for raising $US1 million in

five minutes from business tycoons at the Davos World Economic Forum for

African children, earned loud applause for her comments.

Troubled supermodel Kate Moss was given a boost today when she secured her

first fashion magazine cover since damaging allegations of cocaine abuse.

 

 

The 31-year-old features on the front of November's W magazine, and a

prominent editorial offers further backing for efforts to restart her

career.

 

 

Deputy editor Julie L Belcove writes: "It has always been Moss's complexity,

piercingly evident in her expressive face, that has made her so compelling

to look at.

 

 

"Whether it's also the source of her troubles is impossible to know. But she

has become an icon."

 

 

The Croydon-born model lost lucrative contracts with H&M, Chanel and

Burberry after pictures surfaced of her allegedly taking the class A drug at

a recording studio.

 

 

She released a statement in which she admitted "full responsibility" for her

actions and said she was taking steps to address her problems.

 

 

Moss, who is dating self-confessed heroin addict and Babyshambles singer

Pete Doherty, has now reportedly checked into a rehab clinic in Arizona.

 

 

W's creative director Dennis Freedman said it had been a "natural" decision

for the influential New York-based publication to support the model.

 

 

"Kate Moss has been an inspiration to the magazine and to our photographers

and over the years she has demonstrated an unfailing loyalty to the magazine

and we have returned that loyalty.

 

 

"She has shown courage by taking steps to deal with her personal problems

and it is only natural that we would support someone that we regard as a

friend."

 

 

The fashion shoot runs over eight pages, and the cover shows Moss in white

Calvin Klein silk gown with her hair swept back. She had been booked to

appear before images of her allegedly taking cocaine were printed in the

Daily Mirror.

 

 

A spokesman for the Storm model agency, which represents Moss, said: "We are

delighted and grateful for W's support for Kate through their photo coverage

and commitment and also through their public message of loyalty."

 

 

Pop star Robbie Williams also offered his backing to the supermodel today.

 

 

Speaking at a press conference in Berlin ahead of his sell-out gig at the

German city's Velodrome arena on Sunday, he described the model as an

"absolute icon" and said she had done nothing wrong.

 

 

The 31-year-old pop sensation, whose new album Intensive Care is released

later this month, said the media should put their knives away and "get off

her f****** back".

 

 

Williams said: "I think the media have got a lot to answer for. We're

talking about a woman who has never harmed anyone or hurt anyone and who has

never pretended to be anyone she isn't.

LONDON – It has been reported in the US that Rimmel is set to drop cocaine shame supermodel Kate Moss after increasing pressure from drugstore giant Walgreens to follow other fashion houses by dropping the star from its advertising.

 

Moss has so far lost contracts with H&M, Chanel and Burberry after pictures of the model were plastered over the Daily Mirror showing the 31-year-old snorting cocaine.

 

The Daily Mirror had obtained video footage of the model using the drug and the tape was broadcast on Sky One on Monday in a documentary 'Kate Moss: Fashion Victim', which asked whether Moss has blown it.

 

Rimmel has yet to comment on the latest reports, which would be a turnaround for the Coty-owned brand after it vowed to stand by the star.

 

Moss is battling her problems in an Arizona clinic for a month after admitting she has "various problems" and promising to resolve them.

 

Coty originally released a statement saying it was reviewing Moss's contract and was "shocked and dismayed" by the recent press reports.

 

After her apology, which came a week after the grainy pictures were published, the cosmetics giant announced it would stand by the model.

 

Days before the story broke, Moss was pictured filming Rimmel's forthcoming television and cinema campaign.

 

The TV ad will show the model partying until the early hours of the morning before jumping in a taxi and applying Rimmel foundation to arrive at work looking great, despite a lack of sleep. The campaign was due to break early next year.

 

Moss has won supporters. Sharon Stone came out to defend Moss and criticised the companies who had dumped the supermodel.

According to a police statement, supermodel Kate Moss will be arrested and questioned as soon as she arrives in Britain form United Stated, where she is checked into a rehabilitation center to treat her drug addiction.

 

Moss, 31, who is currently in Arizona, will be formally arrested and investigated for snorting cocaine in a west London recording studio. According to police representatives, the supermodel will be questioned over claims of possessing and supplying the class A drug.

 

The detectives had already searched the west London building two days ago, but their spokeswoman refused to comment on whether drugs were recovered. "We can confirm that officers from the specialist crime directorate executed a ... search warrant on Sept. 29 at an address in (west) London as part of an ongoing inquiry," she said.

 

Pete Doherty, the supermodel's boyfriend and Babyshambles frontman, and Mick Jones will also be investigated because of their presence in the studio, while Moss was using drugs.

 

A few days ago, Doherty was arrested under the suspicion of drug possession, after a drug raid, just before one of the band's concerts. Doherty was released Sunday afternoon, after spending more than 17 hours in police arrest.
