Marcia Wallace

The Simpsons will be retiring Edna Krabappel: http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=836176

I don't know her from the Simpsons, but she was hysterical in the Bob Newhart show. :(

They're re-airing the Simpsons for which she won an Emmy, and then doing a new show with a tribute to her this Sunday: http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=837005

I am incredibly sad to hear about the death of Paul Walker. My heart goes out to his loved ones and friends. He was only 40 and it was so unnecessary. Just a sad and tragic way to go!

Peter O'Toole (LAWRENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

and Joan Fontaine this weekend :-(

Tom Laughlin (BillyJack) also died. I must have seen that movie a hundred times when it came out.

I fell in Love with Lawrence but I thought Peter O'Toole was great and at his best in My Favorite Year.

My dad must have watched Lawrence of Arabia every time it came on tv when I was growing up, so I associate the movie (and Peter O'Toole) with him ;-)

I remember he went back to rehab last year after a relapse - apparently had been sober 20+ years. So sad.

I do think the most talented are the most tortured with addictive personalities. What enables them to be such good actors/musicians/artists is what makes them susceptible.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO . . . . . . . I am so saddened about Philip Seymour Hoffman!

Because he had dealt with these issues in the past, I was sorry to hear that he needed to return to rehab again but then thought - well, good, he's dealing with it head on!

Dang dang dang! This man never failed to impress me in any role he took on. He is truly a great loss. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
