Not really my thing but he’s from my hometown. We went to the same high school, he went there at the same time as my niece, he named one of his albums after my neighborhood park and so I’ve always kind of watched his career from a distance. So young.

George HW Bush - passed at the age of 94 Friday.

I may not have agreed with him politically but he was such a class act.   So happy he is able to be at peace - I feel he has wanted this for some time.

As much as I liked her in LaVerne and Shirley, she was a helluva director. :(

I know that they divorced, but I seem to remember reading something about they divorced in order to keep his Social Security, Medi-Care and/or health benefits.  The fact that she was by his side says a lot.

This makes me sad.  I hated Muskrat Love, but Love Will Keep Us Together was pretty catchy and a guilty pleasure.

RIP Captain.

Ray Sawyer of the musical act named Dr. Hook went forward on December 31st at the age of 81. I thank him and his friends for giving my late beautiful precious Steve Sanders of the Oak Ridge Boys such an awesome song to cover.

I actually had the chance to see Carol Channing in Hello Dolly! -- she was fabulous.  I remember that her eye lashes were so long and she got so close to her co-star that he laughed while trying to keep in character.

She was a legend and definitely one of a kind.

RIP Dolly.:(

This was sad. I used to watch that show in high school and college. I read that they suspect it was alcohol poisoning and that his ex-wife said he never recovered from the suicide of his son.

Wow about Luke Perry.  Just got back into town after being on vacation for 3 weeks in Egypt.  Bummer news.
