Kathy Griffin Reads Raymond's Wife

The National Enquirer tells us that Kathy Griffin has no love for Patricia Heaton, who apparently is very opinionated and might actually be somewhat of an asshole.

"I used to think Patricia Heaton was funny, but now I'm just grossed out by her!"

Those are the biting words of comic Kathy Griffin, who's been blasting the former "Everybody Loves Raymond" star in her new sold-out comedy tour. Griffin's taken the 48-year-old actress to task for her conservative views on subjects such as gay rights and stem cell research.

"The whole gay issue, I gotta tell you - when I hear Patricia talking her bull---- and saying it's not in the Bible that gay people should be together - those are the pieces of information that I can't forget about," said Kathy.

Maybe Ray Romano's whiny-ass voice drove Patricia to stupidity. And I love me some Kathy, but sources say she hasn't always been kind to her own personal gays, many of whom are now her EX-gays. But I'm not one to gossip. I'm just leaning out the window here at 227, talking to Marla Gibbs and watching those boys play stickball.

Kathy Griffin looks hot — to inmates. The D-List actress recently performed before 3,400 incarcerated men at Arizona’s Perryville State Prison Complex. “I did feel very sexy and desirable,” Griffin told the Toledo Blade. “Those prisoners looked at me like no other man did. I don’t care how many people they killed.”

"D-List" funnywoman Kathy Griffin got acquainted with asphalt in a spectacular nosedive in a London parking lot yesterday. Bangin'!

The badly banged redhead shows that a little dash of cement isn't flattering to a celeb, regardless of their list position.

Kathy survived with just some slightly injured dignity.

"D-List" starts its new season June 5 on Bravo. Kathy's special, "Everybody Can Suck It," is in the works.

This looks painful! I do like the way her hair matches the accessories on her car door though...

Shameless Ploy

KATHY Griffin will do anything for publicity. The comedienne was in London filming the Bravo reality show "Life on the D-List" and had a hankering for headlines. So she took a taxi to an event she knew would be well-covered by the paparazzi. As she was stepping out of the taxi, she "tripped" and fell face-first to the pavement. Photos of her tumble were posted all over the Internet and in newspapers. "It worked!" Griffin bragged to Page Six. "Part of episode seven is that I do anything to be in the tabs in London. They're very big on pics of celebs falling drunkenly out of cabs. The shot was almost ruined when some nice lady tried to help me!"

Or the gays - it's hard to tell what she was thinking when she chose this technicolor colored dress. And what is up with the frowning on the red carpet these days? Does Lindsay forget where she is, or that she frickin' loves being having her photo taken? Maybe she just caught a shot of Perez Hilton's hair and is giving a disapproving look. Who knows?

Kathy Griffin Finds Love With Apple Computer Billionaire

Tuesday September 18, 2007

Just one year after a bitter a divorce from husband Matt Moline, it looks like Kathy Griffin may be ready to walk down the aisle again. We spotted Griffin with boyfriend and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak at the Emmys, and the fiery comic was sporting what appeared to be an engagement ring. “I don’t kiss and tell,” the usually forthcoming Griffin told Usmagazine.com.

The couple did reveal that they met in Saratoga where Wozniak came to see Griffin perform. “I was a fan of hers before we met,” he tells Us. “I love her personality and her quick thinking. I think we have so much in common.” Quips Griffin, who later shared chocolate covered strawberries with Wozniak at the Entertainment Tonight party at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, “The thing is he doesn’t realize that I am the brains of the operation and he is like some dumb bimbo that I picked up!”

The "brains of the operation" was on Larry King Live last night gushing even further about her new love...in her own brash, offensive, and funny way. She asked King, " What do you make, Lar? You make a few million a year? He craps that out for lunch. I mean this guy has so much money -- but I love him for his personality."

When later pressed by King to define the status of her relationship with Wozniak, Griffin coyly replied, "I like him in a boy-girl way."

Christian theater troupe scolds Kathy Griffin

Group’s newspaper ad criticizes comic’s religious jokes during Emmy speech

MSNBC.com

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. - Members of a Christian theater troupe are spreading the word that they’re irate about Kathy Griffin’s off-color speech in accepting a creative arts Emmy earlier this month.

The Miracle Theater in Pigeon Forge spent $90,440 on a full-page advertisement in USA Today that ran nationally Monday, proclaiming “enough is enough.”

In accepting the Emmy for her Bravo reality show, “My Life on the D-List,” Griffin said that “a lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus.”

She went on to hold up her Emmy, make an off-color remark about Christ and proclaim, “This award is my god now!”

“We at The Miracle Theater consider it an honor to stand for Jesus today,” the ad said. “We may never win a national award. We may never be household names. We may never be seen in Hollywood. Although others may choose to use their national platform to slander our God, we are honored as professional entertainers to stand for Christ.”

The Associated Press was attempting Wednesday to reach Griffin’s publicist.

Griffin’s comments have also drawn ire from the Catholic League, an anti-defamation group that called on the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to “denounce Griffin’s obscene and blasphemous comment” at the Sept. 9 ceremony. The E! channel chose to edit Griffin’s speech when it aired the taped event last Saturday night.

Griffin, whose standup comedy shows often focus on mocking and dishing on celebrities, issued a statement through her publicist in response to the Catholic League’s criticisms, indicating her statements were meant as a joke.

“Am I the only Catholic left with a sense of humor?” she said in the statement.

Russ Hollingsworth, general manager of The Miracle Theater, said members of the theater’s cast were tired of celebrities’ joking attitudes toward Jesus. The theater is sponsoring a petition on its Web site, www.miracletheater.com.

“When word reached our cast that a Hollywood celebrity had stood before TV cameras and said such vulgar things about Christ, they were incensed,” he said. “It’s just not OK anymore to mock Christians and Jesus with impunity.”

Griffin was fired in 2005 from her job as an E! Channel red-carpet commentator after joking at the Golden Globe Awards that child actress Dakota Fanning had checked into rehab.

You know, I probably shouldn't even get into this, but 100K for a magazine ad? Seems like that money could be better spent addressing problems people can agree on, no moral dimension, no subjectivity (or at least I hope not). Like, oh, children in poverty and people with no food to eat, all over the freaking world and right here in the United States, too. But no. Let's not worry about people's basic, physical needs. Instead, let's replace their morals with ours.

And yes, Kathy G. was on Larry King's show and said she loves that ad.

Kathy is a hero of mine these days.

What is wrong with people today!? Cencorship is really getting out of hand. People need to know when to STFU! Otr at least know when to say "I believe.." or "I think that..." and not insist that it's factual truth!

Why don't we take out an ad saying how offensive we think they are? That if they think Jesus does everything, why not just put his name on all the awards in the universe? Or why not just do away with awards all together?

You know, it's always scary when ignorance, idiocy and dogma collide with a media opportunity.

One reason I listen to comedians so much (my favorite channel on my satellite radio) is that they tend to shine lights on hypocrisy in our society. Well, and they make me laugh :D

I agree Hoyaheel! Kathy is hysterical and she tells the truth, mostly. I'm so glad I snagged tickets to her show this winter.

Kathy Griffin's new apple ice

http://prettyontheoutside.typepad.com/

I'm about to totally gush. Here goes.... I love Kathy Griffin! I love, lovE, loVE, lOVE, LOVE her! I've seen every episode of My Life On The D-list, have seen all her concert specials, and actually saw her in concert at The Laugh Factory years ago. Once in a while as I'm channel surfing, I'll come across her on some talk show and it is like finding treasure. She always makes me laugh. I loved her Emmy acceptance speech, I love that she's a friend of the gays, I love how she pokes fun at the crazies, and I love how she says such unexpected things. Did I mention I love her?

Allegedly she's engaged to Apple co-founder Steve Wosniak. She was allegedly spotted wearing an engagement ring on the Emmy red carpet this past sunday. Mr Wosniak is a billionaire. Yes, a billionaire. I imagine he could give her quite a lovely apple engagement ring.

As far as I'm concerned, if she's on the D list then D is the new A. And I'm done gushing.
