Mario Lopez and Ali Landry

Recommended Posts

According to Access Hollywood:Two weeks ago, former "Saved By The Bell" star Mario Lopez said "I do" to longtime girlfriend Ali Landry. But now, the girl best known for her Doritos commercials is reportedly saying "I don't."It may have taken the pair nearly six years to get to the altar – the two dated for about five years before tying the knot -- but after only two weeks of holy matrimony, the couple is calling it quits.Lopez and Landry were married on April 24 in a resort near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. But according to Us Weekly magazine, the 30-year-old Landry now wants her marriage annulled."Friends have been telling Ali for a very long time that Mario has a wandering eye and sources tell me that she was given some really hard evidence with allegations of infidelity," reports Marc Malkin, news director for Us Weekly. While neither Mario nor Ali have made any public comment, Malkin said the reports of cheating are related to Lopez's Acapulco bachelor party."There have actually been rumors going around for a long time that there are photos of Mario looking quite cozy with a blonde woman," Malkin told Access.Back in June 2002, as the two were dating, Mario told us that there's never a shortage of eye candy when you live in Los Angeles."It's L.A., so there's always an abundance of beautiful women," he said.

Well I'm glad she had the guts to get out.Too bad she even married the guy. If he cheated on her so soon before their marriage or even after he deserves this.

I second that...she is pretty hot. I really would like to know why he cheated...No excuse, but would like to know if she wasn't doing something, or if he was just a plain dog!

From Star Magazine...MARIO'S LIVIN' LA VIDA LOPEZ Mario Lopez According to a source in the know, Ali Landry changed the locks in her L.A. home right after she booted her newlywed husband Mario Lopez, having discovered that he cheated on her. So where did Lopez turn to once his (brief) honeymoon was over? The lady-loving Lopez has moved into the ritzy Bel Air home of his friend Joe Francis, who created the soft-porn Girls Gone Wild tapes.

My question is didn't she know the guy was a loser before she married him? From all I'm reading here and elsewhere the guy is a serial womanizer. So why did she even marry him? If he cheated on her when they dated for 6 years he's not going to change.

Ali Landry Weds in Mexico

Sunday Apr 09, 2006 9:00pm EST

By Carrie Borzillo-Vrenna

Actress Ali Landry married film director Alejandro Gomez Monteverde on Saturday in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, her rep confirmed exclusively to PEOPLE.

Landry, 32, wore a strapless, ivory Monique Lhuillier drop-waist wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline and full ball gown skirt. The dress was made of hand-sewn layers of organza, tulle and chiffon. In keeping with the Mexican setting, Landry wore a paprika feathered bolero after the ceremony.

"He is so beyond amazing," the Eve actress recently told Dolan Media Newswires of Monteverde. "When you dream of 'the guy' as a child, reading your fairy tales and thinking of Prince Charming, you think of all the things you want in a man. And he's everything I thought was possible. He's creative, passionate and would love to help change the world. I respect him so much."

Landry, 32, and Monteverde, who reportedly met at Bible study last year, got engaged over Memorial Day weekend in 2005, and Landry will appear in the 2006 film Bella, which Monteverde wrote, produced and directed.

This is the second wedding for Landry, who wed Saved by the Bell star Mario Lopez on April 24, 2004. The couple split in June after seven weeks of marriage.

"I thought I had my life figured out and all of a sudden, the rug was ripped out from under me," Landry said of the breakup. "I feel blessed that God has given me a second chance at my life."

Jerry, Joey, Emmitt Put on "Dancing" Shoes

by Gina Serpe

Aug 14, 2006, 10:05 AM PT

Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks they ain't.

ABC has plumbed the depths of celebritydom to round up another batch of would-be twinkle-toes for Dancing with the Stars.

For its third season, 11 entertainers will vie for the disco-balled hardware that last year's winner, Drew Lachey, rather generously described as "ugly."

Jerry Springer, Tucker Carlson, Vivica A. Fox, Harry Hamlin, Mario Lopez, Joe (the artist formerly known as Joey) Lawrence, Emmitt Smith, Sara Evans, Willa Ford, Shanna Moakler and Monique Coleman are all primed and ready to hit the dance floor.

Lest viewers be unaware of the contestants' career milestones, here's a brief rundown:

--As ringmaster of his eponymous '90s daytime talk show, Springer shed light on the inner workings of trailer parks across the country, often with explosive results. The former Cincinnati mayor now holds court on Air America radio.

--The bowtie-happy Carlson made a name for himself as a conservative cable pundit on CNN's Crossfire and has since branched out as an MSNBC news anchor. He was also on the receiving end of an onair verbal beatdown from guest Jon "I'm not your monkey" Stewart last year.

--Arguably the biggest current star on the roster, Fox battled Uma Thurman in Kill Bill and cozied up to Will Smith in Independence Day.

--Hamlin is no stranger to Dancing with the Stars, having acted as sideline cheerleader last season in support of wife and third-place finisher Lisa Rinna. He's best known for starring in L.A. Law for five years and most recently had a guest stint on Veronica Mars.

--Lopez, of course, will forever be known to children of the '80s as Saved by the Bell's resident jock, A.C. Slater. More recently, he made headlines for his blink-and-you-missed-it wedding to onetime Dorito girl Ali Landry.

--Former BOP pin-up Lawrence played Blossom's "Whoa"-ing big brother Joe throughout the '90s and went on to star in a string of projects with his two look-alike younger brothers.

--Smith hopes to be this year's Jerry Rice. The NFL Hall of Famer is a three-time Super Bowl champ with the Dallas Cowboys and holds the world's all-time leading rushing record.

--Country music songbird Evans looks to add the disco ball to a trophy case full of Country Music and Academy of Country Music Awards. Her fifth album, Real Fine Place, was released last year with its title track debuting in the Top 10.

--Ford briefly basked in the MTV limelight as one of several short-lived Britney and Christina wannabes, during which time she dated Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and managed to score one hit, "I Wanna Be Bad."

--Former Miss USA and fledgling actress Moakler hit the headlines just last week when it was announced that she and rocker husband Travis Barker were divorcing . The duo starred for two seasons in their own MTV reality show, Meet the Barkers.

--Coleman, meanwhile, seems to have the tween vote locked up, having recently starring in the Disney Channel's phenomenally popular High School Musical.

As in years past, the lack of an A-list cast will likely do nothing to hurt the show's ratings. For the previous two seasons, the series has never fallen out of the Nielsen Top 10, and last year's Lachey-crowning finale drew an impressive 27.2 million viewers.

Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli return as judges.

Tom Bergeron and E!'s Samantha Harris return to host the competition, kicking off with a two-hour premiere Sept. 12 on ABC.

Mario Lopez -- "Dancing" King?

Posted Sep 7th 2006 12:55PM by TMZ Staff

The new season of "Dancing With the Stars" hasn't even started but oddsmakers are already placing their bets on a winner.

John Avello, Director of Race & Sports Operations at Wynn Las Vegas, released his predictions of who will be the next Stacy Keibler or Kelly Monaco.

Avello has Mario Lopez waltzing away with the coveted crown. Previously, PinnacleSports.com also predicted Lopez would come out on top. Looks like we've got a lot of "Saved by the Bell" fans out there!

Monique Coleman, who your ten-year-old probably recognizes from "High School Musical", is slated for the runner-up slot. But Avello has some bad news for talk show pundit Jerry Springer. Although Springer may be good at dancing around punches and catfights, Avello predicts he will be the first contestant booted off the show.

Avello uses industry insiders and formulaic processing (whatever that means) to come up with the odds. In the past, he has accurately predicted winners for shows like "American Idol" and "Survivor."

"Dancing With the Stars" premieres on September 12 on ABC.
