Josh Duhamel Kicked Off Plane in NYC :censored:

12/3/2010 8:44 AM PST by TMZ Staff

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Josh Duhamel was escorted off of a plane yesterday after he refused to turn off his BlackBerry ... sources tell TMZ.

We're told Duhamel was on a flight from New York (LGA) to Kentucky -- when, according to sources, the flight attendant asked Duhamel to turn off his BlackBerry before takeoff ... but he refused.

One passenger tells us Duhamel was "very rude" and "taunting the attendant."

We're told the flight attendant asked Josh to turn off the device three separate times -- and on the third time Josh laughed at his request.

We're told Duhamel's reaction infuriated the attendant, who then called for backup -- and the plane, which was already on the runway, was turned back to the gate.

Two officers eventually boarded the plane and escorted Duhamel off of the aircraft.

We're told passengers were pissed -- because the incident further delayed the flight.

Before boarding the plane, we're told Josh was in the airport bar watching the Cleveland/Miami game.

Duhamel's rep told TMZ Josh was texting on his BlackBerry about his flight being delayed. The rep adds, "He's sorry."

Arianna Huffington in Airplane Blackberry Flap

by Kim Foley MacKinnon

Posted Jan 11th 2011 11:17

Arianna Huffington, author and columnist who runs the popular online site the Huffington Post, was met by Port Authority Police officials at New York's La Guardia after ignoring crew orders to turn off her Blackberry on a United Express flight from Washington's Dulles.

After Huffington's defiance, another passenger confronted her, leading to both of them being questioned by police after the flight landed. Both were released without being charged, reports the New York Post.

The other passenger was identified as Ellis Belodoff, 53, of Plainview, N.Y. Belodoff got up from his seat in protest of her continued chatting and texting, sources tell the Post, and ignored warnings to stay in his seat as he leaped up to complain.

"Hey, lady! Don't you speak English?" the man allegedly heckled Huffington. :4biggrin:

Jen Friedberg, spokeswoman for the Port Authority Police, tells FoxNews.com, "She was asked to turn her phone off by flight attendants and she did. The guy felt she didn't turn off her phone in timely manner."

Friedberg says when the on-board altercation continued, the flight crew contacted Port Authority Police in New York and they sent officers to meet the plane.

"The crew did alert our police when it looked like there was a fight brewing, but by the time they landed our police just spoke to them," she says. "She didn't get escorted off the plane by police. She was in the first row, she would've gotten off the plane first."

As for repercussions, "They both had a talking-to," says Friedberg.

Mario Ruiz, Huffington's spokesman, says "There was a passenger who seemed upset. Arianna thought he didn't like the snacks. Guess not. Maybe he was an iPhone fan. As you know, the battle between iPhone lovers and BlackBerry users can get pretty heated."

In another recent case of a famous person using their Blackberry when told not to, actor Josh Duhamel was escorted off a US Airways Express plane in December for texting.

French Actor Gerard Depardieu Pees in Plane Cabin.

USMagazine, Wednesday, August 17, 2011, 6:50am (PDT)

Mon dieu!

Legendary French film star Gerard Depardieu urinated on the floor of an airplane -- while passengers looked on -- after a skirmish with a flight attendant, according to multiple reports.

The actor, 62, was on a delayed Air France flight from Paris to Dublin on Tuesday when he demanded permission to leave his seat and relieve himself.

A passenger named "Danielle" told French radio station Europe 1 that Depardieu exclaimed "I want to piss, I want to piss" -- but to no avail. A flight attendant informed him that the toilets were locked as the plane ascended to cruising altitude, and that the star would have to wait 15 minutes.

Depardieu (perhaps the most well known French actor) then took matters into his own hands -- unzipping his pants and urinated on the carpet.

"And there and then he stood up and did it on the floor," the passenger claimed. "We could see he had been drinking. The stewardess was dumbfounded."

In response to the report, a rep for Air France-KLM said simply: "I will only confirm that he, in effect, urinated in the plane."

TMZ

American Airlines claims Alec Baldwin was "extremely rude to the crew" on a flight out of LAX yesterday -- "calling them inappropriate names and using offensive language."

In the wake of Baldwin's Twitter attacks on the company, AA has finally released a statement ... confirming what TMZ reported yesterday -- he was an epic jerk.

AA says, "Since an extremely vocal customer has publicly identified himself as being removed from an American Airlines flight on Tuesday, Dec. 6, we have elected to provide the actual facts of the matter as well as the FAA regulations which American, and all airlines, must enforce. Cell phones and electronic devices are allowed to be used while the aircraft is at the gate and the door is open for boarding."

"When the door is closed for departure and the seat belt light is turned on, all cell phones and electronic devices must be turned off for taxi-out and take-off."

"This passenger declined to turn off his cell phone when asked to do so at the appropriate time. The passenger ultimately stood up (with the seat belt light still on for departure) and took his phone into the plane’s lavatory. He slammed the lavatory door so hard, the cockpit crew heard it and became alarmed, even with the cockpit door closed and locked."

"They immediately contacted the cabin crew to check on the situation. The passenger was extremely rude to the crew, calling them inappropriate names and using offensive language. Given the facts above, the passenger was removed from the flight and denied boarding."

I adore him on 30 Rock, but he really is an ass.... -_-

Katherine Heigl Difficult, Demanding, "Not Worth It," Hollywood Insiders Claim

Celebrity News September 11, 2013 AT 3:45PM By Justin Ravitz

usmagazine.com

Heigl's got some haters. In a surprising new story, Katherine Heigl's deflating career and reputation in Hollywood are scrutinized as multiple film and TV insiders claim to the Hollywood Reporter that the A-list actress isn't exactly a joy to work with.

One source who worked with the star on the 2010 film Life As We Know It described "desperately difficult situations" with Heigl on set. "She can cost you time every single day of shooting," the source charged of Heigl, 34, who was paid $12 million for the film. "Wardrobe issues, not getting out of the trailer, questioning the script every single day."

(The film's director Greg Berlanti disagrees, telling THR: "I would work with her again in a heartbeat.")

Making matters worse, says the source, was her mother and manager Nancy Heigl, who has worked closely with her daughter since her days as a child model. "I have never experienced anything like Nancy Heigl," says the source. "It's about the mouth. 'F--- you. You are a f---ing liar.' Whatever you'd say, you were an idiot. The call would be, 'This is the worst craft service we've ever had! There's nothing to eat! This is the worst wardrobe!' You knew that every day, you were going to get slammed. The frustrating part is [Heigl] is incredibly talented and smart."

Life as We Know It producer Denise Di Novi tells THR those accusations are "way exaggerated," but acknowledges that both Katherine and her mom "are not shrinking violets. They're very straightforward and tell you what they think."

Another source tells THR that the pair made similarly outrageous requests for 2008's 27 Dresses, following Heigl's star-making turn in Knocked Up. "There were movie-star demands -- big rooms, the mother there, all the stuff . . . It was just a sense of entitlement. The biggest stars don't do that kind of thing."

As Heigl endeavors to rebuild her career following a slew of box office disappointments over the past several, one anonymous TV executive quoted in the story says that Heigl's infamy is so bad that she was nixed as a potential lead in a new pilot. "On many levels, she would have been perfect for the role, but all of us said, 'She's not worth it.' "

Judd Apatow and crew have made it pretty they want nothing more to do with her even though Knocked Up was a hit. She doesn't quite have the talent to back up all that diva.

Not Diva Behavior, just an update about a diva and Aretha doesn't have her own thread. I love Aretha Franklin. Funny post on Gawker about Aretha and her purse. She looks good these days - hope she's lost weight on a quest to GET healthier, not because she's been sick (rumors of a serious illness over the past year or so...)

I just watched Women of Soul at the White house on PBS last night. Aretha made me cry when she sang Amazing Grace. It wasn't her version or because I'm religious (I'm not) but because I grew up listening to her, loving her and knowing that someday that voice would be silenced. She was THE female voice of my generation. What I would give to have a voice like that. You can develop talent but her voice is a pure gift. I love her because it always seemed to me that she didn't take any shit from anyone. Diva? Hell yes. She's earned the right and title.

I'm not sure if this should be here or the Celeb Feud thread, but it is funny. A history of everyone Chevy Chase has pissed off. (Defamer also has a thread talking about whether Chevy Chase is about to die - when I saw him on the "red carpet" last night before SNL, I turned to my husband and said "he's going to die soon".....)

I remember when Toni Tenille had a talk show - he was such an uncooperative, untalkative, stick up his ass guest, that when the episode aired, she put a tag on it where she "hoped" that he would pull his shit together.

I haven't been able to watch him since.

True or not, I don't think it's that bad for a job description. This is my favorite line, though

A rep for Lowe told TMZ, “This job description does not match any document pertain[ing] to employment with Rob, but we can confirm that coffee is his number one priority in life.”
