^^ I call BS too.

Maybe our English friends can help us verify this, but isn't she pretty much despised over there?

Here is how it went down: She started getting angry and decided to get physical. The person she was assaulting fought back and won - only then did the customers began to applaud!

When is it OK to beat up anyone? Even a reporter. In the US celebs get sued for this.

I guess she really isn't a proper English Rose is she? ;)

This is getting better every day...just like Britney Spears, all McCartney and Federline have to do is sit back and let these two complete idiots self-destruct...McCartney MAY be a little ahead, however.

There is NO WAY that a bunch of Brits sitting in a coffee shop "clapped" when pegleg "kicked ass". The Brits collectively hate her and love Paul. I totally agree with your version Branchop.

One point...you have a fake leg...how in the world do you kick someone's ass with it? Isn't it a bit dangerous to balance on a fake leg?

Maybe in reality she whipped off the pegleg and clubbed the coffee shop lady with it.....

I love that she keeps making an ass of herself. The applause was probably because she put herself in the position of being arrested for assault (with so many witnesses!) I really really hope that it's true that Paul didn't make any money during the time they were married. Plus, he can probably show she's an unfit parent, therefore depriving her of living high off of child support payments until their daughter is 18. Maybe Heather can find work in Dubai?

Is Paul McCartney actually the mean mofo that Heather claims?

Heather Mills brought all sorts of ridiculous claims against beloved rocker Paul McCartney in their divorce proceedings. She claims he choked her, cut her with a wine glass, and pushed her on top of a coffee table during their four year marriage. Mills is known to be a serial liar, is said to have invented colorful stories from her past, and was even found to be impersonating a journalist also named Heather Mills. Everyone from her father to the guy who introduced her to Sir Paul has discredited her, and most people think that her claims against Paul are ridiculous and unfounded.

Heather even said that Paul was abusive to his first wife, Linda. One piece of evidence in Heather’s favor may have been the hours of audiotaped conversations between Paul’s wife Linda and her friend Peter Cox, with whom she collaborated on a vegetarian cookbook published in 1989. McCartney paid Cox an amazing $380,000 for the tapes, and people assumed he was doing it to ensure that none of the intimate details of his first marriage would be released to the public during his divorce proceedings.

Now The National Enquirer reports that a Beatles biographer has hours of audiotape from Paul McCartney’s stepmother and stepsister in which they claim that he was cruel to his ailing father and has always treated them with contempt. If you read what they’re saying, it sounds like they didn’t get along with him and are bitter and pissed off that he didn’t support them:

[beatles biographer] Giuliano says Heather’s claims of abuse by McCartney are very similar to allegations made by Ruth and Angie. [Paul’s stepmother and stepsister]

“For decades there has been a code of silence around Paul. Now Heather has blown the lid on it,” Guiliano told The Enquirer.

“There is clearly more than the kernel of truth in what Heather has said - I’d say more like the whole cob.”

Angie married Paul’s father Jim in 1964 when Ruth - Angie’s daughter from a prior marriage - was just 4 years old. Paul stayed for extended periods with the trio in a five-bedroom house that he had bought for Jim.

“It seemed like a kind thing to do, but Paul ruled the house like a tyrant when he was there, and would remind Angie and his father they should be grateful for his genorosity,” revealed Guiliano.

On the tapes, Angie said that when Paul was upset, he would shriek: “Don’t forget I put every crumb of food in your mouth!”

“I never forgot that,” said Angie.

Angie also told Giuliano that Jim had bitter arguments with Paul for smoking marijuana in the house.

“Jim knew that he smoked pot and didn’t like it,” said Angie.

“My dad would say to Paul, ‘Don’t be doing that here,’” recalled Ruth. “And then it would break down into the ‘Whose house is this?’ argument.

“this is my bloody house - I’ll do what I want,” Paul allegedly told them.

[from The National Enquirer print edition, January 15, 2007]

That all sounds like pretty tame, normal family arguments to me, like stuff that could be blown out of proportion. If this is true maybe the sister was snotty to him or something and he shot back at her, and maybe he did get pissed at his dad for telling him not to smoke pot in the house. That doesn’t sound so damning to me.

The article goes on to give what must be the two worst incidents the stepmother and mother told this author. Paul was said to have once yelled at his arthritic father to get up and walk and to have told him that his illness was in his mind. He also supposedly patted his stepsister on the butt while she was passing him in the hall after taking a shower. She was only 13 at the time, had filled out early and was embarrased to run into Paul when she was just in a towel. He said “My, my, my… Look at you, you’re getting to be a big girl. You’re growing up, aren’t you?”

Everyone says that Paul is an exemplary, peaceful man except for Heather Mills and his stepmother and stepsister. Their book was never published because it’s clear they don’t have much dirt on him. From their statements about Paul, it sounds like they didn’t get along with him, wanted to get money from him and failed. If Paul has an abusive personality the news would have come out sooner than this. As it is, there are only these two claims that are motivated by greed.

PAUL PAYS £2,000 A WEEK FOR HEATHER'S NEW HOME

EXCLUSIVE

By Fiona Cummins, Showbiz Reporter

HEATHER Mills has won the first round of her increasingly bitter divorce battle with Sir Paul McCartney after he agreed to pay the £2,000 a week rent on her new home.

Macca, 64, is to foot the bill for his estranged wife's pad near Regent's Park in London where she will live with their daughter Bea, three.

The move comes after friends of 39-year-old Heather told how she has cut all ties with the former Beatle over his alleged refusal to reinstate her security after she got deaths threats from gangsters.

One pal said her rent agreement was "negotiated in court" and added: "Heather says Macca has to pay for their accommodation. She thinks the divorce will be settled within the year."

Heather will no doubt be pleased with the order, but it won't ease her fury over the security issue.

She told friends on her ski trip to Slovenia this week: "I never want to see him again. I can't even bring myself to speak to him."

One said: "She is absolutely furious and for her, it's the final straw.

"She said she never, ever wants anything to do with him again.

"When it comes to handing Bea over, the nanny or other members of staff take care of that." Heather is said to have become increasingly friendly with ex-fianc Marcus Stapleton, who was one of 40 friends she invited on the ski trip to celebrate her birthday on Friday.

She was engaged to the Hong-Kong-based executive in 1995.

The friend added: "They seemed very chummy. It was a surprise to see him there but they are obviously friends, even though their relationship didn't work out."

Macca still has not made Heather a divorce offer and the rent agreement is only until a formal settlement is reached.

Lawyer Mark Stephens, of Finers Stephens Innocent, said: "In divorces with high net worth individuals arrangements are made to provide separate accommodation.

"More often than not the husband provides it for the wife."

EXCLUSIVE: HEATHER'S CLAPPY BIRTHDAY PARTY

SHE may be going through a messy split, but Heather Mills still knows how to have a cracking party with friends.

The mum-of-one danced the night away as her chums clapped along to karaoke songs at a Slovenian ski resort on her 39th birthday.

Heather clearly had a fantastic time and her smile lit up the room when friend Mark Payne serenaded her - while dressed in drag as Liza Minnelli.

She said later: "I feel better than I have for months.

"I've had a great time and have really let my hair down."

Heather whisked off 40 friends and family on the all-expenses paid skiing trip at Bohinjsko.

Other guests included her sister Fiona, fitness instructor Ben Amigoni, 22, and Sex And The City director Dennis Erdman.

The group partied until the early hours of Saturday

Awesome! I would love to see her on a show that's basically a popularity contest. She's clearly deluded about the way she's seen publicly in the US or else she wouldn't want to do it (assuming this rumor is true)- how sweet it would be when she realizes everyone here hates her too. The only way she's not going home first is if Star Jones is also on.

McCartney "Settles" Divorce

Sir Paul McCartney has reportedly agreed to a $63 million divorce settlement with his estranged wife Heather Mills, after a bitter six month battle over the former Beatle's vast fortune. McCartney split from his second wife Mills in May last year after four years of marriage, and began divorce proceedings in July. The 64-year-old has allegedly agreed to hand over his $7.8 million home in St. John's Wood, London to the former model, as well as his $11.8 million mansion in Beverly Hills, California, according to British newspaper News Of The World. The out-of-court settlement means McCartney will never have to publicly defend himself against Mills' claims of physical abuse while she was pregnant with their daughter Beatrice in 2003, as stated in court papers filed by the 39-year-old's legal team.

McCartney reportedly will pay ex 62M in split

BY ELLEN TUMPOSKY

SPECIAL TO THE NEWS

LONDON - Sir Paul McCartney will give Heather Mills a $62 million cash and property payoff to end their bitter divorce battle, it was reported yesterday.

Mills, 39, has agreed to a deal handing her the ex-Beatle's $8million home in London and his $12 million Beverly Hills mansion, with the rest of the settlement in cash, the News of the World said. The paper said the arrangement would give Mills nearly $2,000 for every hour of her four-year marriage.

The couple have one daughter, Beatrice, 3. McCartney, 64, has four adult children from his previous marriage to Linda Eastman, who died of breast cancer in 1998.

The confidential agreement - negotiated by the lawyers who crafted Princess Diana's split from Prince Charles - means there will be no court fight over Mills' allegations in leaked divorce papers that McCartney shoved her into a bathtub and cracked a wine glass in her hand during furious arguments.

McCartney's fortune has been estimated at $1.5 billion. The couple had no prenuptial agreement, and when they first split last spring, there was speculation that Mills might seek as much as $400 million.

A spokeswoman for Mills said she had no comment on the report. McCartney's spokesman did not respond to a request for comment.

Lawyers for Heather Mills McCartney deny rumor of divorce settlement

LONDON (AP) — Lawyers for Heather Mills McCartney said Monday that she has not agreed to a financial settlement in her pending divorce from Paul McCartney.

Mishcon de Reya Solicitors, which is representing Mills McCartney in the bitter split, denied a report in Sunday's News of the World that McCartney had offered a settlement worth $63 million.

"With regard to the article in yesterday's News of the World, we would like to state that there has been no offer made whatsoever at any time to our client and therefore no settlement has been agreed," the law firm said.

McCartney, 64, and his 38-year-old second wife announced their separation in May and began divorce proceedings in July. They have a 3-year-old daughter, Beatrice.

Heather Mills Denies $63 Million Divorce Deal

TUESDAY JANUARY 23, 2007 10:45 AM EST

By Simon Perry

Lawyers for Heather Mills are denying reports that she has come to an agreement with Paul McCartney in their high-stakes divorce.

The British newspaper News of the World had claimed on Sunday that the exes were about to settle out of court, with Mills, 38, receiving more than $63 million in cash and property – almost $2,000 for each hour of their four-year marriage.

Not true, says her side. "She is in tears about this," a friend of Mills tells PEOPLE. "There has been no deal."

Her lawyers, Mishcon de Reya, issued a statement Monday saying, "We would like to state that there has been no offer made whatsoever at any time to our client and therefore no settlement has been agreed."

Sources close to Mills say the pair are, in fact, far from an agreement. "This will take month and months," says the friend.

But they will be in court in February to tackle one issue: Mills wants McCartney to pay for a bodyguard for her because, she says, she has been threatened and followed.

Mills and McCartney are being represented by Anthony Julius and Fiona Shackleton, respectively – the same lawyers who handled Princess Diana's and Prince Charles's royal divorce in 1996.

The couple, who have a 3-year-old daughter, Beatrice, married in June 2002 and separated in May. McCartney filed for divorce two months later.

A rep for McCartney had no comment when contacted by PEOPLE.

I bet UAE would take her back. If Michael Jackson could live peacefully in Bahrain, I bet a former "escort" who's worked in the middle east should be able to find some sugar daddy to hide her away in luxury.....

LMAO!!! :D

Seriously though, it's not Paul's fault that she's hated. If she drank poison would he be required to pay for the stomach pumping?

I hope he gets custody of their daughter and that she just fades away. It seems to me that the announcement of the settlement was a smart move (on Paul's part) in this rather public chess game.

FURY AT HEATHER SIS RANT

By Fiona Cummins

HEATHER Mills' sister may have jeopardised divorce talks with Paul McCartney in an astonishing rant.

Fiona Mills' outburst on Heather's website stunned lawyers for both sides as the couple were ordered to stay silent.

Heather's legal team Mishcon de Reya and its publicity arm The PR Office were said to be "furious". A source said: "This could upset the applecart."

Fiona claimed the couple's daughter Beatrice, three, has had death threats as well as her mother.

But they "no longer receive the protection that would be afforded any other member of the family".

She denied Heather is a gold-digger and branded claims she would give up custody of Beatrice for millions "absolutely disgusting".

Macca's spokesman refused to comment.

A Socialite's Life

Stella! Stella!

I am sure she gets really tired of hearing that but her name is on the lips of everyone lately. Stella McCartney is teaming up with LeSportsac to bring a line of luggage, totes, baby bags and accessories to a boutique near you. The line will be in three of Stella's stores and five of the LeSportsac stores and not to mention the internet gateway aall released in Spring 2008.

The conjoined efforts are the start of a beautiful relationship that will have a total of 30-40 bags. Priced from $200-$250 a pop the collection is just a starting point. WWD reports that the current expiration date of the contract is just 18 months away but it is stressed that it is renewable.

Stella is making friends everywhere as she adds her name to a number of entrepreneurial outlets. She already has two fragrances, a line for H&M, a collection of active wear for Adidas, and February 15th she will unleash her skin care line onto the world.

MCCARTNEY'S £25M TO LET IT BE

PEACE OFFER TO HEATHER FROM 'WAR-WEARY' SIR PAUL

bv Fiona Cummins, Showbiz Reporter 08/02/2007

SIR Paul McCartney has sanctioned a £25million divorce offer in his bitter battle with estranged wife Heather Mills.

Lawyers for both parties have been locked in "intense and heightened" talks.

A source close to the case said: "This is the closest we've been to an agreement."

It is hoped that the warring couple will formally settle within the month.

Macca, 64, ordered his legal team to act to avoid a humiliating and messy court case.

In leaked documents, Heather alleged he had stabbed her with a glass and shoved her while she was pregnant.

It is the first time the former Beatle has voluntarily agreed to open negotiations.

One close pal revealed: "He is absolutely determined to keep his private life hidden from public scrutiny.

"The divorce has been dragging on nine months.

There's war weariness creeping in."

Heather, 39, is expected to receive a lump sum. Their daughter Beatrice, three, is likely to have her own trust fund. A legal insider confirmed there had been "feverish" discussions between lawyers for both sides over the past 10 days.

The insider said: "It isn't simply a matter of him making an offer and it being accepted. There are other issues at stake.

"But they are almost there. The channels of communication have opened up significantly in the last week or so. There have been intense and heightened conversations.

"It is the first time a deal has been mentioned and both sides hope a settlement will be formally reached in the next month.

"Unless there is a major hiccup, this will not be going to court."

Terms will be drawn up by the same lawyers who thrashed out Charles and Diana's divorce - Anthony Julius from Mishcon de Reya and Fiona Shackleton from Payne Hicks Beach.

Their teams have been holding "detailed" discussions since Macca made his offer.

He is thought to have acted after Heather's sister, Fiona Mills, accused him of putting the life of his wife and daughter at risk by failing to pay for bodyguards to protect them from death threats. The date for the official divorce hearing, pencilled in for spring, is also drawing closer.

The deal is less than expected and a fraction of Macca's £825million fortune. But the couple were only married for four years and Sir Paul claimed to have lost £2million in a year with his Back In The World tour.

While Macca is keen to avoid his private life becoming public property in court, a deal also means Heather will not run the risk of having her case demolished by his legal team.

Friends of the former model said she was feeling "very depressed" at the moment. She is currently in the US.

Meanwhile Fiona has posted a fresh outburst on Heather's website. She disputed claims her sister once drew £1million from Macca's bank, saying: "How ridiculous. Are they saying that someone as money-savvy as Paul keeps one million pounds in his current account? I don't think so."

Both Heather's lawyers, Mishcon de Reya, and Sir Paul's spokesman last night declined to comment.
