Celebs & Their Weight Issues

Recommended Posts

Did you see her on Ellen not long after she had given birth? She had gained A LOT of weight, kinda shocking she lost so much of it already. Hollywood actresses gain soooo much weight when they're pregnant since it's the only time they can what they want, then they somehow manage to loose it soooo fast after.

Leah Remini and daughter Sofia

King of Queens star Leah Remini, 35, and her daughter Sofia Bella, 22 months, are featured in People's special diet issue. Leah speaks of her weight loss after pregnancy, where she gained a bit too much - she says, "My obstetrician told me after the fourth month that I'd gained my weight for the whole pregnancy - 25 lbs." Leah started at around 115 lbs, gained 80 lbs during her pregnancy, and is now 130 lbs - and she'd like to lose 6 lbs more.

Leah's advice for moms to be? "Think about the aftermath. Know that you're not literally eating for two. In my case, I was eating for four or five!"

Yeah, and they tried to hide it on the show. Ha! It was weird enough "hiding" Debra Messing's pregnancy and she only gained a small basketball! 80 lbs is a lot to gain....But she took it off PDQ......

How did Leah Remini gain all that weight with ALL the help in being a perfect person from her total involvement in the Scientology Center? She along with Kirstie Alley were the ones who spoke out about Tom being such a wonderful father. Xenu is at it again. I think she's a freak, and why can't these pseudo celebrities afford tailors to shorten their pants? Are her shoes just too UGLY?

Did anyone see the latest hand-wringing by US Magazine about "dangerously thin actresses"? Total anorexia porn, people! It even had a list of helpful hints on how these Hollywood types get and stay so skinny, including the aforementioned Clenbuterol, and in some cases even gave web addresses for purchasing these products. We all knew this agony over people being too thin was really all about ENCOURAGING people to be too thin, but I can't believe US would be so transparent about it.

Report: Aishwarya Rai Made to Lose WeightIt's been an up and down time for Bollywood mega star Aishwarya Rai lately weight wise, that is. Her directors, not satisfied with having Bollywood's leading lady in their films, have made her lose weight, gain weight and lose it again for successive films, the Times of India newspaper reported Thursday. Most recently Rai, a former Miss World often labeled as one of the world's most beautiful women, was asked to shed a few pounds for her role in the film "Dhoom 2," or "Big Bang 2," which is being shot in Namibia, the paper reported. Rai's personal trainer Deepika is on sight leading "Ash," as she is known in Bollywood, through a two-hour workout starting at 4 a.m. every morning, the paper said. "Deepika is with Ash in Namibia," Rai's manager Hari Singh told the newspaper. "Ash is a very dedicated actress and she is working to get into the skin of her role." Rai had picked up some extra pounds for her role in the film "Guru," which she was filming before heading to Namibia for Dhoom 2.

Oh dear God Anna! Has she retired from tennis? Because I don't see how she could possibly hope to compete in that condition...

The funny thing is that based on her quotes in the US Magazine with all the "drastic diet" celebs, she thinks she's the fittest she's ever been. She said something to the effect of all her hard work paying off, and she's going to have a great summer as a result.

McPhee Reveals True Horror of Bulimia Recovery American Idol star Katharine McPhee faced her eating disorder head-on when she first sat down to eat with fellow bulimics in a rehabilitation center. The sexy brunette's parents found the singer help at an eating disorders program but McPhee had no idea she'd be dining with other troubled girls on her first night in rehab. She recalls, "I remember the first day, my first meal where I sat down with the other girls and I cried at the table. It was just too overwhelming. I was just going face to face and seeing all the other girls struggling at the table, and them seeing myself actually eating as fast as I could to get out of there." The American Idol runner-up, who hit number one in America earlier this summer with her version of standard "Somewhere Over The Rainbow," conquered her eating disorder before becoming an Idol contestant late last year. She adds, "Now I feel like, 'Ha, ha, ha, I can eat whatever I want.' If someone sees me eating, like, a plate of French fries, I'm, like, very happy to be like, 'I'm eating fries.'"

I think most people would (not I) consider Kornikova to be thick. Since she has a budding career as a model being thick (Celebrity translator: normal) isn't really an option in the modeling business.

People actually watch tennis because they like to watch the game? The only time I ever watched was when she was playing.

Do hungry men prefer heavier women?

Posted Aug 2nd 2006 6:02PM by Nick Vagnoni

Filed under: British Isles, Science, Magazines, Newspapers

Two British researchers have published a study suggesting that hunger may relate to how men perceive different female body types, BBC News reports. The researchers surveyed 61 male college students coming and going from a university dining hall, first asking them how hungry they were and then asking them to rate a series of photographs of similarly dressed women of varying weights and body types. The half of the group that said they were hungry rated heavier women as more attractive, according to the abstract of the study, which appears in the British Journal of Psychology. The researchers now plan on reversing the study to see how hunger affects female perception of male body types.

Damn skippy...where are my curvy women at? :P
