Charlie Sheen

Recommended Posts

Well, it's going to get mighty interesting to see how all this ends up, that's for sure. I do believe Charlie has been "acting" up to prove a point.

That he is "bi-winning"? :4biggrin:

Why Charlie Sheen Was Fired from Two and a Half Men

By Mike Fleeman

Monday March 07, 2011 08:00 PM EST

What's the opposite of a winner?

In page after page of damning language, the producers of Two of and Half Men justify firing Charlie Sheen by painting the actor as a self-destructive, sick addict who's deteriorating mentally and physically while scorning those who have tried to help him.

In an unusually personal appeal, an attorney for Warner Bros. Television tells the actor's lawyer in a letter that those close to the star should "focus your energies on what no one so far has been able to do: get your client the sustained, rigorous and effective treatment he so urgently needs.

"It is clear that [sheen] has no intention of agreeing to the intensive evaluation and treatment that his condition requires," says the letter. "It is also clear he does not believe he has a problem and that he will continue to conduct himself in a destructive manner."

The letter was first obtained by TMZ and its authenticity was verified to PEOPLE by sources close to the show.

Letter Calls Sheen 'Very Ill'

The 11-page letter from Warner Bros. Television counsel John Spiegel to Sheen's lawyer Marty Singer is accompanied by 10 pages of links from PEOPLE.com and other media outlets reporting on Sheen's recent statements and behavior. Warner Bros. Television produces Two and a Half Men, which is broadcast on CBS.

"At the outset," begins Spiegel, "let us state the obvious: Your client has been engaged in dangerously self-destructive behavior and appears to be very ill."

The letter goes on to describe what producers characterize as one attempt after another to help Sheen, 45, by visiting his home, reaching out to his family, giving him time off and even making a private plane available to take him to rehab after his most recent highly publicized partying ended with the actor in the hospital.

"Regrettably, Mr. Sheen failed to continue with his rehabilitation program," says the letter. "The result has been a series of well-chronicled and increasingly erratic outbursts that have culminated with Mr. Sheen's public tirades of the last few weeks."

Along the way, Sheen noticeably has lost weight, missed rehearsals, flubbed his lines and made "inflammatory comments" – mostly directed at the show's co-creator Chuck Lorre – that were "poisoning key working relationships."

Sheen's Lawyer Responds

The star's behavior, characterized in the legal jargon of "felony offenses involving moral turpitude," combined with his missed work, physical change and other alleged transgressions, forced Warner Bros. Television to fire Sheen, the letter says.

Sheen's lawyer Singer responded by calling the termination an "absurd and ridiculous" retaliation against Sheen for daring to criticize Lorre, a powerful figure at CBS.

"We feel this is nothing more than Lorre flexing his muscles," says Singer, "and we intend to respond accordingly."

New Charlie Sheen Texts: 'The Beast Is Alive'

By Joseph Barracato

Tuesday March 08, 2011 09:30 AM EST

Now officially fired from Two and a Half Men as of Monday, Charlie Sheen is gearing up for his confrontation with Warner Bros.

In a text to PEOPLE, Sheen writes: "Put yourself in my shoes for one warlock nanosecond. At some point there is nothing to say. Only war to wage … The winds are howling tonight. The gods are hungry. The beast is alive. And awake. And deadly."

He's also reaching for a new weapon – a machete.

After encountering paparazzi after a business meeting to discuss merchandising with Live Nation in Beverly Hills Monday, Sheen – accompanied by one of his so-called "Goddesses," Natalie Kenley – made his way to the roof of the building, reached into his suit jacket, whipped out his large, shiny blade and frantically waved it in the air. (See video clip below.)

In a message, Sheen, 45, added that his machete would be used to destroy anyone who messed with his family.

Sheen will likely need plenty of legal weapons, as well: In response to the alleged $320 million lawsuit Sheen is preparing against Warner Bros., which produces Two and a Half Men, the studio says they expect the actor to pay them handsomely for all of the show's lost revenue since it's been placed on hiatus.

Ummmmm, waving machetes around? Lord help us all!

With his abusive past, drug use along with mental illness and now waving a machete around...this is not going to end well.

At first I thought he was doing the same thing Katherine Heigl did to get off of Grey's Anatomy, but now . . .

I can't even watch these videos of his. It's gone beyond trainwreck to me and I feel like I'm watching someone literally lose their mind. I keep thinking that his parents and siblings are watching that and one day his children will too. I just can't do it.

Yeah, I haven't seen any of the videos or read his tweets - have been minimizing how much of this story I'll follow- I read about it here, and tangentially at gawker (though I won't click on the videos there either) and maybe Ausiello's column or Page Six......

I'm thinking one of the goddesses is going to be dead before this is all over.

I'm thinking Charlie is going to be dead before it's all over.

I heard some teaser tonight from "The View" and Barbara Walters said Sheen needed get his circumstances handled "for the sake of his children." It really irked me because with all these interviews, entertainment TV and gossip websites, his kids will always be able to see the destruction and downfall of their likely mentally ill father, so there is no "for the sake of his children" anymore. I can't even watch it - I saw one of his interviews last week and felt like I needed to hose off. What a weird world we are now, watching this descent into madness.

I'm so glad that the children are out of the house. Brooke is far from perfect but I don't feel they are in danger at this point.

Alright, I'll admit it: I can't get enough of this story. I watch and read everything I can about it. I find his destruction to be fascinating. Maybe it's because I find him to be a truly repulsive person in the first place? I mean, for the pure hatred he has toward women alone, I think he's a total creep. The horrible things he's done or threatened to do to women...that's why my guess is that he's going to do something to one of these "goddesses" before it's all over.

The only part that did upset me was when the youngest children were there. I'm glad that they were taken away. Brooke may be a drug addict, but she seems somewhat sane and responsible compared to him, and it appears that her own mother is helping her a great deal. As long as the children are safe, I don't mind watching Sheen self-destruct.

The only good part of all of his video rants is that it should be ample evidence for Denise and Brooke both to keep their children away from him. Any judge that would allow any unsupervised visitation would be insane. IMO, any visitation that should be allowed at all right now should be at a licensed therapist's office with the therapist as a monitor and with the authority to end the visit immediately should Charlie go whackadoodle.

Does anyone think he *wants* to see his kids right now? He's on his hypomania god kick at the moment - what role do his kids play in that?

I think he wants to see them because the alternative is that he loses custody, which means he loses control and then he's not "winning". He's obviously on a kick where he thinks he's perfect and sane and a better person than everyone else, so to have a judge say no, you can't see your kids I can see really setting him off. He only wants the women who will do anything he wants around and he's said in the past, that's why he likes hookers and porn stars. He pays them, they do what he says, he gets what he wants and he can just get rid of them when he's done. No emotional investment and no worrying about what the women might want or need (besides payment for services rendered).

Replace #WINNING! with #BORING! and that about sums up my feelings at this point. The schtick is getting old.

As for the ex-wives, I imagine they are crapping bricks right now, as their human ATM may be coming to a grinding halt in the next year or two.

Hopefully their divorce attorneys had enough sense to put a clause into the agreements that says Charlie has to maintain a specific amount of life insurance on himself at all times with the children as the beneficiaries.

Hopefully so on the life insurance, but I am not holding my breath. As for the human ATM grinding to a halt in a year or two, that's probably being generous. It would not surprise me if it turns out that Charlie's net worth is a house of cards and that he's been living from paycheck to paycheck. I just don't get a fiscally conservative vibe from him whatsoever.

Jon Cryer responds to Charlie Sheen: 'The fact is, I am a troll'

March 11, 2011, 11:39 AM EST

By Rick Porter

Zap2it

"Two and a Half Men" star Jon Cryer made his first public statement since his co-star Charlie Sheen called him a "troll" earlier this week.

It was a painful moment for the actor, who appeared on "Conan" to make a confession: "The fact is," Cryer says, "I am a troll. It's not something I like to talk about."

We hate to overuse a phrase, but this monologue? Winning.

"There's not a lot of tolerance for people like me," Cryer says. "... To avoid ignorance and bullying, I've had to hide the fact that I'm a troll. You have no idea how much time and money I've spent on electrolysis and hair dye and reconstructive surgery so I can look like this."

Cryer also outs a few other celebs who he says are trolls -- Paul Giamatti, Helen Mirren, Andy Richter (who was not pleased about it) -- and closes with a messages for all the trolls who are still living "under the bridge."

"I'm here to tell you: It gets better," Cryer says. "Not gay better. But sort of better."

We're sure Sheen will have something to say about this down the line. But for now? Funny, funny stuff from the only actor to win an Emmy for "Two and a Half Men."

Here is the link to the article with video: Jon Cryer " I am a troll"

I am team Cryer :D

ETA: I just watched the full video - Hilarious! The awesomeness is something you have to see.....

Denise Richards to Charlie Sheen: Pug You!

45 minutes ago by TMZ Staff

Denise Richards is furious that Charlie Sheen is tweeting she's a dog thief, and is telling friends Charlie is actually a dog abuser ... this according to sources familiar with the situation.

Back when Charlie and Denise split, Charlie took custody of her 2 pugs so the kids could play with them when they visited him -- which she had before they got married. Things were ok for a while, but after Charlie's meltdown at the Plaza hotel in NYC, Denise started getting calls that the pugs were malnourished and neglected.

Things became so alarming, we're told Denise went to Charlie's and he gave her the dogs. Sadly, one of them died of malnutrition, but the other is ok.

Now Charlie wants the dog back, and sources say he just wants the pooch as a mascot on his tour bus.

As for Charlie's tweet -- "We must bombard with Warlock Napalm, that traitor and loser whore #DUH -neese POOR-ARD. A VILE KIDNAPPER AND NOW DOG THIEF. HATE."

But Denise is steadfast ... claiming Charlie can't even take care of himself and she's not giving up the pug.

I never in a million years thought I'd say this, but I think I have become Team Denise. Considering the amount of crazy she's had to deal with over the years with Charlie, I think her girls are lucky to have her because she does seem to have shielded them from the worst of it as much as anyone could. I'm sure the alimony and child support she makes off of Charlie every month helps keep her lips zipped but it must take a lot of restraint on her part not to go on every talk show to tell everyone what a nut job Charlie is. It must be soooo tempting when he's constantly trashing her or just being an idiot in general.
