Charlie Sheen

to be honest, the show is stupid, it needs to be taken off the air. why bring it back with ANYONE?!

Because it made a shit-ton of money. If a new actor can continue to make that much money, it will be renewed/stay on the air. Hollywood - all about the bottom line!

It's really getting hard not to like her.

I know. Dammit. She's starting to grow on me.

She's one of the few where a reality show made me like them more. I credit her upbringing as her dad is great.

Charlie Sheen Inks Deal For New Sitcom – Stands To Make More Money Than Ever!

Posted on Jun 27, 2011 @ 04:00PM

by Radar Staff

He may be minus his two Goddesses now but Charlie Sheen has proved that he is still winning!

The embattled star has inked a deal for a new sitcom with Lionsgate Television and with a bidding war underway he is set to make more money than ever, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.

"Charlie has inked a deal with Lionsgate Television to create and star in a new sitcom,” an insider tells RadarOnline. “Charlie's character will be very similar to the one he played on Two And a Half Men, however the show will be a lot racier. :vomit2:

"Networks and cable are bidding on the show right now, with TBS being the front runner. TBS recently expanded their comedy division with the acquisition of The Conan O'Brien Show after his fall out with NBC. Plus cable makes more sense because it offers more creative freedom," our insider explains. "In other words the show can be raunchier and more outrageous, which is perfect for Charlie!

"Lionsgate Television will produce the show. They have committed to ten episodes up front with the option to pick-up and produce 90 more episodes if the ratings prove to be successful. This means the sitcom could be on TV for 8 years, which is a long time! It also means that Charlie will make more money than ever before!"

According to our insider Charlie won't be getting paid the $2 million per episode that he received on Two and Half Men, but he will have a higher back-end deal, which means in the long run he could make much more than he did on the CBS show.

"Charlie will make less upfront which is a plus for Lionsgate...this way Lionsgate is less at risk of losing money should the show flop or should Charlie have some sort of meltdown.

"It’s still a risk but the risk is worth it because so many people are interested in Charlie and his wacky life...they are bound to watch the show," our insider says.

Lionsgate has built a strong television presence in production of prime time cable and broadcast network series including Mad Men, Weeds, Nurse Jackie, Blue Mountain State and Tyler Perry's House Of Payne.

Lionsgate Television also plans to release Charlie's nationwide live stage performances, My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option shows.

Charlie Sheen's Losing Streak Continues: Network Torpedoes Rumors of TV Comeback

Today 9:13 AM PDT by Marianne Garvey

Eonline.com

Don't look for Charlie Sheen's return to the tube anytime soon.

Despite reports yesterday that the warlock had signed a deal for a new sitcom, one network has come forward to deny they are about to put the former Two and a Half Men star back to work, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Making things even worse for the porn-loving actor? He's lost his last remaining goddess, Natalie Kenly, who reportedly moved out.

So let's clear up some rumors...

RadarOnline.com reported yesterday that Sheen had signed a deal with Lionsgate Television for his own sitcom, sparking a bidding war for the show among a number of networks; TBS was named as the winner frontrunner.

TBS denied furiously bidding for the show, and issued a statement saying that they were not bringing the embattled back to TV.

"TBS is not in discussions for a possible project with Charlie Sheen," a rep for the network said. :alien_dance:

As for his old job on Two and a Half Men, it seems Sheen's nemesis Chuck Lorre has found a way to get revenge on his out-of-control star. Before Ashton Kutcher steps in to take over on the show, Sheen's character Charlie Harper will reportedly be killed off by driving his car off a cliff. (Lorre, winning?)

Sheen's personal life seems to be falling apart too—according to multiple reports, his last goddess Kenly apparently had some kind of falling out with the actor, and drove off from Sober Valley Lodge in the Mercedes he bought for her.

Although Sheen reportedly demanded that the sweet car be returned to him ASAP, it is not known whether Kenly complied.

Sheen allegedly brushed off the breakup, claiming that gals dumping him rather than the other way around is not a common occurrence in his life.

Nor does the star seem particularly fazed: He quickly rounded up three new girlfriends (who have not yet reached goddess status) the very night Kenly bailed.

Sheen's other blond babe, Bree Olson, 24, ditched the unemployed actor in April during his Torpedo of Truth tour and was then sentenced to one year of probation after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor drunken driving charge stemming from her arrest earlier this year.

Sheen had claimed Olson was still in touch after losing her goddess status.

TMZ

It's the modern day version of, "She loves me, she loves me not" ...

One day, Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards hate each other ... the next day they're arm in arm and dining together ... like last night, when they hit Da Tommaso in NYC.

As we have reported over time, Denise has gone through periods where she couldn't stand Charlie's guts, feeling he was compromising their kids and making her life a living hell.

Charlie says he's a changed man ... and judging by the HUGE smiles on their faces, it seems, Denise believes him ... for now.

Wow, he still looks horrible.....

'Anger Management' Show

Picked Up by FX

TMZ

Charlie Sheen's triumphant return to television will take place on cable ... because the FX Network just sealed a deal to run his new sitcom, "Anger Management."

According to the Hollywood Reporter, at least 3 cable networks bid on the show ... but FX emerged victorious.

The deal is what's known as a "10-90" -- if the first 10 "test" episodes do well, the network will order 90 more.

As TMZ first reported, Sheen will play the role of the therapist -- loosely based on Jack Nicholson's character in the movie "Anger Management."

Charlie Sheen: 'Two and a Half Men' should end

Jan. 24, 2012, 2:25 PM EST

By David Eckstein

Zap2it

Charlie Sheen is not one to go quietly into the good night. And a year after his famed meltdown that resulted in his ousting from the hit CBS comedy "Two and a Half Men," the actor has more than a few opinions about his old show, its producers and when it should end.

"I don't think it should go on past this year," Sheen said at a NATPE press conference, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "I just think that people are there because there's nowhere else to go."

Sheen believes the Ashton Kutcher version of the series, which is actually drawing ratings comparable to what they were a year ago, has lost its edge. For this, he blames Chuck Lorre's overall success.

"I don't think that [Kutcher is] working with the best writing because [Lorre is] doing too many shows. He and Jon [Cryer] and Angus [T. Jones] deserve better material," Sheen adds.

Sheen says he understands Kutcher's situation. He was in a somewhat similar position when he took over for Michael J. Fox on "Spin City," albeit under drastically different circumstances.

Also: Charlie Sheen talks 'Anger Management': 'I think it's going to be so rich'

"I've done what he's done. ... It's so f------ hard, you can't believe it," he says. "It's all your thinking about and you're surrounded by these ghosts."

But as Sheen embarks on his new project, a sitcom based on the movie "Anger Management," he is pleased to be out from under "Two and a Half Men" producers Chuck Lorre and Lee Aronsohn.

"They're doing their thing and I'm free from their bondage," he says.

Does he own any part of this show that he would profit from it going another season or two? Chuck Lorre is going to take this as a gauntlet thrown, and do what he can to keep it on. The ratings warrant another season.

And now a torpedo of truth from Charlie Sheen -- "I'm tired of pretending Ashton doesn't suck."

Sheen called in to TMZ Live today ... when he finally spoke his mind about the guy who took over the starring role on his old show, "Two and a Half Men."

Sheen had been politically correct towards Kutcher ever since AK took over ... but after Warner Bros. legally threatened Charlie for using a "Men" photo to promote his new show, "Anger Management" ... it was no more Mr. Nice Guy.

Sheen told us, "I'm tired of lying ... I'm tired of pretending the show doesn't suck ... I'm tired of pretending Ashton doesn't suck."

Charlie added, "It's nothing personal ... I just feel bad for him ... he's saddled with such bad writing."

Ladies and gentlemen ... he's back.

Hum.... someone fell off the wagon....

Well . . . he's not wrong. LOL!

Maybe, maybe not but lets not pretend that Mr. Sheen isn't coming out now with this acid because he doesn't have a new show to promote -- Anger Management. Apropos don't you think?

Charlie Sheen was at the Reds/Pirates games over the weekend here in Cincinnati. On Friday night the Marty Brennenman (broadcaster) had his head shaved due to a bet he made about the Reds winning 10 games in a row. $50,000 was raised by Cincinnatians for the Red's Community Fund. When Sheen heard about this he matched the $50,000. I realize that $50,000 to him is not a lot money but $100,000 is now available for this group and I for one am okay with that. I know people do not like his actions (me for one) but thought this was a great thing to do.

Wow, he makes a lot of statements that really make me believe he is bipolar and has been on a very long manic bender (and he's still giving away lots of money, another bipolar red flag)....

Charlie Sheen: Two And A Half Men Is ‘Dead,’ Implies He’s Still Using Drugs

Posted on Jan 15, 2013 @ 6:34AM | By Radar Staff

Charlie Sheen, appearing on Monday’s edition of The Late Show with David Letterman, said that his former show Two and a Half Men is “dead” without him, and admitted he’s not exactly clean and sober these days.

Monday’s marked Charlie’s first appearance on the CBS late night staple, nearly two years after his well-publicized fallout with the network and Men creator Chuck Lorre, as well as the unprecedented media blitz that followed. Letterman asked Sheen if he was under the influence of drugs — namely, crack cocaine — during his cacophony of soundbites.

“Not during the meltdown,” Sheen, 47, said. “During the previous 30 years of my life, sure!

“Here’s the confusing part: I wish it was crack cocaine. It wish it was an ocean of vodka, a bathtub full of pills. It was just my brain was kind of separated into itself.

“I just had to take a stand for what I know was right … it was an adrenal ride, I think it was mostly fueled by anger. Good thing I got the new show, Anger Management.”

Sheen admitted he’s not currently leading a clean and sober lifestyle.

“I don’t really believe in that lifestyle anymore cause it doesn’t seem fair — you guys don’t want me clean and sober, that’s boring!”

Asked if he would ever return to his former show, Sheen said he “would like to appear on their final episode,” to which Letterman reminded him that his character was killed off.

Watch the video on RadarOnline.com

“I am dead, but so is the show!” Sheen said.

Fun fact: During Sheen’s 2011 roast, comic Jon Lovitz joked, “How much blow can Charlie Sheen do? Enough to kill two and a half men.”

Sheen appears on FX’s Anger Management, returning Thursday at 9/8c.

Charlie Sheen: Lindsay Lohan Had Anger Management Set "Held Hostage"

Celebrity News April 11, 2013 AT 3:00PM By Allison Takeda

US Magazine

"I have a kinship with somebody who clearly needs a mentor, whether she [Lindsey Lohan] wants one or not," Sheen recently told TMZ of Lohan. "She can continue to hang out with her dress-shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey."

"If she listens, she'll win," he said. "If she doesn't, that's on her."

When he says crap like this, I have no doubt he's bipolar.

Charlie Sheen

At War With Selma Blair

She's FIRED!

TMZ

Charlie Sheen and Selma Blair are in an all out WAR on the set of "Anger Management" ... so much so, Sheen says he fired the actress and REFUSES to shoot if she comes to set today, this according to sources connected to the show.

We're told it all started when Selma complained to "AM" execs that Charlie was a menace to work with -- claiming he's late all the time and has a shoddy work ethic.

Problem is ... the actor found out about it and was super pissed. We're told Charlie felt Selma was out of line considering he's the star of the show. And he specifically referenced himself learning 40 pages of lines per episode compared to her 2.

But sources close to Sheen tell us the actor did more than just complain ... he told everyone HE FIRED SELMA altogether -- although it's unclear how official it was.

Charlie then made it clear to "AM" honchos ... if Selma shows up to set Monday -- when the show is scheduled to shoot -- he'll refuse to work.

And there's this ... we're told Charlie now wants to extend an offer to Mila Kunis (a.k.a. Ashton Kutcher's GF) for a 10 episode arch ... at $1 MILLION per episode.

As for the network honchos ... our sources say the execs are hoping it will all blow over. But we're told Charlie specifically asked FX to support him in his decision. Calls to Selma's people were not returned.
