Halle Berry

She sure has a problem finding the right guy. Didn't her first husband beat her so bad she lost her hearing in one ear? Thought I heard that rumor somewhere.

It was actually an old boyfriend of hers - rumored to be Wesley Snipes.

Wesley Snipes assaulted Halle? That's horrible. He must have knocked the crap out of her to make her lose her hearing! Poor thing. <_<

I believe the first time he cheated she should have left him, since they usaully cheat again.Well she sure ain't J-Lo because I haven't seen her around with any and everyone.Every one else seems to be looking for a man so I am sure it will be a tight search.

Yeah, wesley hit her. No excuse, but he supposedly caught her in bed with another man. Halle is a hottie and has a great career..but most of us dudes agree something might be missing upstairs.

I don't care if he caught her with the entire Lakers team. That is no excuse to hit her.

No excuse? There is NO REASON why a man should hit a woman, period.

I see I have to be careful how I post things, they may be taken the wrong way...naturally. Yeah, I said no excuse(if that isn't good enough...tough). <_< And trust me...women CAN do things...it's just something a REAL MAN doesn't/should do(hit a woman). A REAL MAN walks away. Trust me, I have been in situations and seen situations where the wrong choice was made....and some women want to use that to their advantage(provoking or daring a man). Amazing, how these threads turn.

Karma has a funny way of kicking you in the butt. She can go home and look at her Oscar while Wesley I guess can just pop in "Blade 5" or whatever it is he's done lately.

And a real women walks away too.

Sorry BobbyD, I was going to step in and say I didn't think your post as saying it was okay to hit women, but I got distracted by other fluff hollywood news and forgot to come back to this thread.

Thanks, Princess, I definitely agree that a real woman should walk away as well..I just have to remember whenever I post on a message board there will be people who will read too much into things. And are often ready to start a fight over nothing.Karma? Shoot...Wesley career is actually done well, even though he is not a sex symbol. And look at what she had to do to get that oscar....demeaning.

I don't think there was anything demeaning about what she did in that movie. It was a love scene and they made it look as real as possible and effective.

The love scene was soft core porn. Can't even call it a "love scene" there wasn't any chemistry in that scene between Billy Bob and Halle. She started ripping her own clothes off, "make me feel good..." Billy bob sits up, and quietly says..."ok."Sorry, very demeaning, IMHO. A lot of folks here(la-la land) feel the same way. Scratching our heads over her winning the oscar. Nice to see a person of color get the oscar...but for Monster's Ball??

You know, I think people often give someone the Oscar because of a past performance they should have gotten it, but didn't. I think Halle got it for that Dorthoy movie, but since she was passed up that year for Oscar, they gave it to her for Monster's Ball. I liked Monster's Ball and didn't think the chemestry was that bad, but prob not oscar worthy.Look at Russell, he won for Gladiator?!?!?! WTF?!?!?! I think he got it for Gladiator because he was skipped for A Beautiful Mind.

Great point, Princess...I didn't think of it like that. It also didn't help that Dorothy Dandridge was on HBO. I thought her performance was Halle's best to date in that movie. But I think Russell got the oscar for "Gladiator" to make up for "The Insider" (excellent performance). Because "A Beautiful Mind" came after "Gladiator" and Crowe blew it by cussing out the producer at the British Academy Awards and being an overall pig. And Denzel got his "Training Day" oscar for being dissed in "The Hurricane" at the expense of Russell Crowe.

Oops, you're right - I ment The Insider for Russ.I think people get Oscars a lot because of past performances, not because of what they currently got nominated for. Oh well, keeps things interesting anyway when it comes to Oscar wins.

That scene was not demeaning in any way.....****spoiler****Her husband was executed, her son was stuck and killed by a car, she was trying to scratch out a living as a waitress. She had a total melt down and was looking for a release, someone or something to make her feel good and forget. Men aren't the only ones that do that. And if Halle was demeaning by what she did, then Billy Bob Thorton demeaned himself as well. And there was definite chemistry between the two.

I still think it was demeaning....you mean to tell me she can't show her "release" from a meltdown unless she rips her clothes and gets pounded by billy bob? The rawness/uncomfortablility of the act, I didn't feel that was necessary(he didn't show any attraction to her whatsoever. It was porn...And most people would agree with me. The scene was long and raw. The movie could've been effective without it. A lot of eyebrows were raised when she won for that....not her greatest achievement...but we already discussed Oscar's rewards for past roles skipped over.Anyway, we both can differ on this. It's not that big a deal. I'm about to rent the DVD now...Guess which scene I will watch? :P And it ain't about the chemistry, believe me!!

Jockel Finck / AP fileNote to animal lovers: pull in your claws when it comes to Halle Berry. The “Catwoman” star is under attack from some who’ve seen the flick. In the film, which opens in July, Catwoman apparently rescues felines from a product-testing laboratory — which struck many animal-rights types as ironic, since Berry is also a makeup pitchwoman, and cosmetics companies routinely test on animals.“We’ve been swamped with calls and emails from people saying, ‘Go after Halle Berry! She’s a hypocrite!’” says an insider at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. “But we did some research, and it turns out she only pitches for Revlon, which has stopped all its animal testing. So now Halle’s become our cover girl. We’re putting her on the cover of our cruelty-cosmetics brochure. She’s our kind of superhero.”

princess :) Russell Crowe won for Gladiator before he was nodded for A Beautiful Mind.He lost for A Beautiufl Mind because he insulted some one at The BAFTA awards..That's too bad because it was one of his best work IMO and he was definitely robbed that year in 2002. Edited by Gemstone

'Catwoman' Was Therapy for Heartbroken Halle Catwoman helped Halle Berry cope with her husband Eric Benet's cheating ways because the character helped her escape her messy private life. Appearing on Oprah Winfrey's chat show in America tomorrow, Berry will reveal reports of her estranged husband Eric Benet's philandering were true - and she used her Catwoman character as therapy to deal with the heartache. She says, "I so needed to be Catwoman in that moment. I so needed to make some tough life decisions for myself, and putting on that suit made it a whole lot easier." Berry also tells Winfrey that she'll never wed again after two failed marriages to baseball player David Justice and soul singer Benet. She adds, "I always hate to say never to anything, but I will never marry again. It's probably the first time the tabloids got my life right." http://www.imdb.com/news/wenn/#1

She should watch it with the "I will never marry again" speech.People that say that usually do end up marrying again; even those that aren't beautiful Hollywood types.I think some handsome actor or producer will come along and she'll be eating those words. ;)

Zap2it.com....Halle Berry Stalker Sent by God to Marry HerThu, May 27, 2004, 11:05 AM PT LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Oscar winner Halle Berry has more than her share of man troubles. The 37-year-old actress is seeking a new restraining order against a Louisiana man who has been stalking her since 1998, reports Celebrity Justice. Over five years ago, former Navy SEAL and preacher Greg Broussard began calling Berry's manager, claiming that he was going to marry her. His repeated calls, threats, inappropriate gifts and a "surprise" visit to Los Angeles resulted in a restraining order, which recently expired. At the beginning of May this year, Broussard began to call again in earnest and insists that "God told him to marry Halle" and that he will "eliminate" anyone standing in his way -- namely Berry's manager, publicist and attorney. His escalated efforts include threats that he will head to Los Angeles once again to "settle this once and for all." The 40-year-old Broussard is currently under investigation in Louisiana for making threats and assault. On top of all this mess, Berry is still dealing with the divorce proceedings to end her marriage with Eric Benet. The actress, who won an Oscar for her leading role in 2001's "Monster Ball," will next star as an avenging superhero in "Catwoman," which opens in July.

thesmokinggun.comWe've long known that this clod briefly attached to Halle Berry was no good. Now the guy is moving in on our sweetheart's pile of cash and plotting a legal challenge to the couple's prenup. What's next for Mr. Berry? Probably a petition to restore his maiden name:http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/0603042halle1.html
