Anyone even heard her sing before?? Does she even have a decent voice, or will it be all stuido magic?? I remember seeing them talk a bit about it on the Hilton True Hollywood Story, the guy that's producing(??) it paying for everything, he thinks he'll make his bucks on sales. Would be interesting to see what kind of cut Paris is getting for it, or if she's just considering it a big PR stunt.I'm afraid for what the videos will look like.

No real need to know if she can sing, I'll just watch the video online with the sound off.

Ted C. of E!Paris Hilton, sprucing up her résumé with an upcoming pop-candy album. Acting just ain't enough fer this honey. With Tinkerbell-pup and flacker in tow, my little heiress was hosting a bidness meeting with rapper Lil' Jon at Le Meridien Hotel. Bev Hills. Since the MTV Movie Awards, Paris-poo's apparently bosom buds with the Crunk developer, 'cause now they're collaborating on a song for P.H.'s debut disc. In a short fuchsia frock topped with a black-and-white checkered jacket, Ms. H. name-dropped maybe-boyfriend Nick Carter way more than once, mentioning his new album...blah, blah, blah.

people.comIn the PinkSo why did Paris Hilton choose pink as the theme for the Hamptons launch party for her new record label, the aptly named Heiress Records, last weekend? "It was my favorite color as a little girl," she tells us. Fair enough. At the party she even sipped pink drinks, made from a combo of raspberry vodka, Cointreau, Sprite and a dash of cranberry juice ? and if that isn't sweet enough for you, there was pink cotton candy spun to order all night. As for the record label itself, its inaugural release, titled Paris Is Burning, will come from the heiress herself. Along with tunes penned by Hilton, it will feature a few covers, including Kim Carnes's '80s hit "Bette Davis Eyes." We can hardly wait ...

Hilton in New Internet Wrangle

imdb.com

Paris Hilton appears to be winning the battle with Hilary Duff's older sister Haylie Duff over the single "Screwed," after the hotel heiress' version was leaked onto the internet. Both have recorded the same song, and while they were figuring out how to proceed, Hilton's version has now been put online after it was aired on the radio. Last month, Duff announced she was attempting to block Hilton from releasing the track, explaining, "Paris has talked to the people who wrote the song, and I think it's all under control now." Duff also said she planned to release her own version by early August, but now Hilton has inadvertently beaten to her to it. Hilton's spokesperson Gina Hoffman says, "It's not something we put out. It's a leak. And that's really disturbing." Hoffman adds that Hilton doesn't have a release date for her debut album Paris Is Burning yet, or even a distribution deal in place, so the release is too early to promote the record. The version making the rounds on the internet was recorded from a radio station's airing. Duff's spokespeople have yet to comment on whether her plans will change in light of the leak. Hilton recently suffered more embarrassing problems on the internet, when a sex tape featuring her and ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon surfaced and became an instant international hit.

Paris "Screwed" Out of Single?EOnline.comby Charlie AmterAug 20, 2004, 5:00 PM PTParis Hilton or Haylie Duff--who will get screwed out of "Screwed"?The dueling would-be music divas have both recorded versions of the song "Screwed" for their upcoming solo record debuts and now there's some behind-the-scene scrambling to see who has the rights to release it legitimately. We say "legitimately" because, like her night-vision bedroom romp, Paris' "Screwed" is already making the rounds on the Internet.Hilton's take on the song was leaked--accidentally, if you believe her publicist--to a radio station. An MP3 was ripped from the broadcast and is now all over file-sharing sites.Written by veteran songwriters Kara DioGuardi and Gregg Wells, "Screwed" is a slick pop track with pulsing, hook-heavy basslines and shimmering synths with a distinctively 1980's feel. Paris' relatively lo-fi leaked version features digitally spiffed-up vocals that make it difficult to tell just how well everyone's favorite heiress actually sings.Regardless, the song has a catchy chorus ("If I'm already screwed/here's my message to you") and may well be a hit when Hilton, Duff or both officially release itAspiring teen queen Haylie (the older, less famous sister of Hilary Duff) is claiming dibs on the song, saying she recorded her version in early 2003 and that "Screwed" belongs solely to her. "I recorded this song almost two years ago, so it was just kind of a mix-up, but it's all taken care of now," Duff told Access Hollywood in late July.Speaking to E! Online this week, Duff's reps echoed that sentiment. "Haylie has the first rights to record and release the song from the writers and their publisher," says Duff's publicist, Allison Leslie. But Paris' publicist Gina Hoffman tells E! Online that, in fact, "the rights to the song are still undetermined."Apparently, Paris isn't getting screwed without a fight.Caught in the middle is Arthouse Entertainment's Stephen Finer. Finer, who looks after Kara DioGuardi's music publishing interests (in addition to "Screwed," DioGuradi has written hits for Jessica Simpson and Kylie Minogue, among others), could only say that "it's a very delicate situation right now and I can't really comment any further."Both Haylie and Paris are struggling to launch their respective singing careers. Duff appears to have a leg up on Hilton, having one minor hit, a duet cover of the Go-Go's 1981 classic "Our Lips Are Sealed" with sis Hilary, under her belt. The Napoleon Dynamite costar also has a record deal with Hollywood Records. Although no release date has been set for Haylie's record, sources tell E! Online that the record will come out in early to mid 2005.Paris, for her part, has been talking up her record, Paris Is Burning, to the press for months. The Simple Life star will reportedly release the record on her own label, Heiress Records. She had initially said that "Screwed" would be her first single from the record, but now that seems increasingly unlikely in light of the leak and Haylie's plan to have "Screwed" on her debut. No release date has been set for Paris' record either, but she has reportedly worked with several well-known producers and musicians for several tracks on her debut, including JC Chasez and her ex-boyfriend, former Backstreet Boy Nick Carter. She told reporters at her Heiress Records launch party July 2 that Paris Is Burning sounds like "a combination of Blondie and Madonna with a little bit of hip-hop thrown in."Now if only Paris could sing like Deborah Harry or Madonna...

Paris and her ..er.. singing... brings up visions of Jane Austen's heroines (or not, remember poor Mary in Pride & Prejudice?). Any young lady of the upper crust must be proficient on a musical instrument and be able to sing. Dear Paris, how well she looks and my, oh my, how proficient she is!

DRESSED TO THE HILT-ONNY PostParis Hilton - in a T-shirt that could be referring to her looks or fame, but not her lifestyle - fetches a CD from her SUV outside a friend's L.A. home. The selection of choice? Her own single, charmingly titled "Screwed." And no, it was not co-written by her ex-porno pal, Rick Salomon.

histar.comThe British tabloids say PARIS HILTON jumped onstage at a club in Miami to perform her first single, "SCREWED", and was soundly BOOED. The crowd even TURNED THEIR BACKS on her when she sang DAVID BOWIE'S "Fame"... and a song by BLONDIE. Paris couldn't take the ridicule... and left the stage.

Ted C. of E!By the way, I just heard her single "Screwed." Have you? It's like R-rated bubble gum--just where Britney Spears left off before she went all skanky adult on us. Paris knows just how to play that line between little girl lost and wannabe vamp--the 13-year-old's dream playground! I think the song will make a fortune. Like she needs another one. And like Simple Life 3 and the Club Paris franchise won't make the heiress still another pot o' gold. Those exhausted flacks for P.H. say they have no idea, by the by, what's going on with the legal status for the release of "Screwed" (one of the sisters Duff has a song by the same name, dammit), which is all about misleading love and women from hell. Not P. herself, of course. Could she have meant Shannen Doherty, perchance?

Paris Hilton Ready To Quit Pop Career

Posted on Sunday, November 28 @ 19:15:02 EST by MusicMan

popdirt.com

sanka writes "According to Australian Weekly Magazine NW, Paris Hilton is planning to quit her pop career before it has even began. Hilton is reportedly devasted by the poor reaction to her debut single 'Screwed', and is ready to give up for good. "She feels no-one is giving her a chance with her music," a source revealed. "Hardly any of the radio stations will play her stuff." Instead, look for the heiress to concentrate on furthering her movie career. "She had some really encouraging comments about acting," the source added."

villagevoiceLa Dolce Mustoby Michael MustoExclusive Gossip: Is it hard out here for an heiress? PARIS HILTON had a long-anticipated CD scheduled to come out in June. Out magazine recently sent me to L.A. to interview the multi-media personality about her music, which I heard and thought was perfectly enjoyable dance-pop, as helmed by wunderkind SCOTT STORCH. But a source tells me that Warner Brothers chairman/CEO TOM WHALLEY might not feel the same way. They say he doesn't think it's ready—in fact, he doesn't care for it at all—and he's putting the project on hold for now. (I'm hearing it'll probably be released in September.) At least this should provide some juicy conflict for The Simple Life. (I'm awaiting a response from a Warner Brothers publicist.)

Paris Hilton Album Download

Two tracks / clips from Paris Hilton's self-titled debut album have leaked and made their way onto the Internet. I think this is the real deal unlike the fake MP3s from Paris Hilton's "Official" Myspace a couple months ago. Personally, I am waiting to hear Paris's rendition of Rod Stewart's "Do You Think I'm Sexy". I'm sure it will be sexy. But of these two leaked tracks: "Fightin' Over Me" is... not sexy. "Turn It Up" is... kinda sexy. Both have... funny lyrics. Paris, 25, is reportedly dating Matt Leinart, 22, who just got drafted into the NFL by the Arizona Cardinals. Enjoy the songs! Or not!

Damit, looks like songs had to be taken down... <_< They played one of them on the radio this morning, but turned it on right as song was ending so missed it.
