Hoyaheel 1,874 Report post Posted October 21, 2013 I need help!! We're having a costume party at work - and I LOVE to dress up - but I'm drawing a blank this year. Any suggestions? I do love punny costumes (and, since it's work, nothing "slutty" ;-) What's everyone else doing??
princess 1,711 Report post Posted October 21, 2013 I have a standard witch hat and cape outfit, but other than that I got 'nuthin.
Hoyaheel 1,874 Report post Posted October 21, 2013 I love accessories and esp headbands - if there's a headband, I own it - leopard, devil, bunny, cat, etc. So I've done a lot of "punny" costumes for work - Devil in a Blue Dress, Deviled Egg etc. I do have a witch hat (and a witch headband ;-) My husband has a monk's robe -and he's bald - one year we went as Morticia and Uncle Fester. fykeylicious 1,099 Report post Posted October 23, 2013 Have you searched on pinterest? I searched for "funny Halloween costumes" and a few good things came up: http://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=fu...ween%20costumes I like the "50 shades of grey" idea, where you just use the paint swatches you get from the paint store and put them all over your shirt: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/80501912062919395/
Hoyaheel 1,874 Report post Posted October 23, 2013 I found a few pages - my current front runners are Dust Bunny or Cat Stevens (but I don't have a guitar) This is too much I think: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/527273068844570596/ And I love the Operation costume but don't think I have the talent (or the time this weekend) to complete: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/527273068844570615/
Serendipity 12 Report post Posted October 26, 2013 This one went over most of my friends' heads (and actually, now that I read what I wrote I'm not surprised), but one year I dressed in a flowing, art nouveau type gown, tied a long scarf around my neck and on the end tied it to the spokes of my bicycle tire. I was Isadora Duncan.
Hoyaheel 1,874 Report post Posted October 31, 2013 Dust Bunny came out just fine ;-) We had a fun Hallo-Wiin lunch and I did Just Dance for the first time - man that's a workout!

princess 1,711 Report post Posted October 31, 2013 I hate this is the trendy costume this year, it was bad enough seeing this the first time. Miley Cyrus (Kelly Ripa) is joined by Robin Thicke (Michael Strahan, right) and his stand-in, Robin Thicker (Art Moore, left). But this one does make me laugh (love her humor, hate her politics): Jenny McCarthy Dresses as Miley Cyrus' Tongue for Halloween, Jokes About "Craving Sledgehammers": Picture Celebrity News October 31, 2013 AT 4:25PM By Allison Takeda

Hoyaheel 1,874 Report post Posted November 3, 2013 Thanks guys!! The woman who won the costume competition was awesome - she wore a cardboard box wrapped in christmas paper and the tag was From: God To: Men - it was great!
