Taylor Kitsch

Recommended Posts

He didn't have his own thread... but he deserves it.

"Why?" you ask.

Because he breaks my heart every Friday night as Tim Riggins.

Because They say that he is poised for may-jah stardom.

Because he is delicious eye candy.

Ladies and gays, I have the great pleasure of introducing Taylor Kitsch:

From Wikipedia:

Kitsch was born in Kelowna, British Columbia. He has two older brothers and two younger half sisters. Originally set to become a professional hockey player, he played for the Langley Hornets in the Canadian BCHL before a bad knee injury ended his career. He moved to New York in 2002 after receiving an opportunity to pursue modeling with IMG and studied acting there as well. After two years, he signed with production company, Untitled Entertainment. While staying in New York, Kitsch also became certified as a nutritionist and personal trainer.

Kitsch has modeled for Diesel and Abercrombie & Fitch. He was in The Covenant alongside Steven Strait, Chace Crawford, Sebastian Stan, Toby Hemingway, Jessica Lucas and Laura Ramsey. He played Pogue Parry.

Kitsch is currently appearing in the NBC series Friday Night Lights as football player Tim Riggins.

In February 2008, he signed on to play Gambit in the X-Men franchise spinoff X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Now in post-production, it is slated for a May 2009 release. Of the fan-favorite character of Gambit, Kitsch states "I knew of him, but I didn't know the following he had. I'm sure I'm still going to be exposed to that. I love the character, I love the powers, and I love what they did with him. I didn't know that much, but in my experience, it was a blessing to go in and create my take on him. I'm excited for it, to say the least."

Freaking love him. I was fortunate enough to interview him recently (article out in May to coincide with Wolverine), and he's very smart and well-spoken. And ambitious (but in a good way), funny, kind guy, and he is going to be a HUGE star. Huge.

He's no Emile Hirsch.

I agree with all that! It's hard to believe that Tim Riggins of episode 1 has become the heart of FNL, but last week, man did I tear up watching Tim watching Jason from the taxi.

I LOVE this guy! He is such a talented actor and definitely not bad to look at! :) Here's hoping that FNL gets renewed so he is on our screen again next season!

I might even be a superfan of his...*gasp*.

Freelancegal: I'm glad to read he seemed like a good guy when you met him. Lainey wrote that she thought he had a lovely personality, too, when she met him.

**oh gods on mt. olympus (or hollywood hills)... please allow friday night lights to be continued for not merely one but two more seasons, and let Taylor Kitsch's impending meteoric rise not turn him into a drug addict, asshole or dater-of-paris-hilton. amen**

And now, to appease those gods, I offer a sublime offering: :smileapprove:

I also hope so I'm tired of chasing it all over the air waves.

I like Kayle Chandler so as you might have guessed I'm a bit older but still Riggins being the bad boy does it for me too.

Tyra's boyfriend was some pretty good eye candy.

Yum. So according to gossip, this is the wonderful, smart, talented actor -- connie Britton -- who had a fling with our boy Taylor. Glad to see he even has great taste in his cougars :4biggrin:

I would like to see him with short hair, though. His locks never look particularly clean...
