princess 1,711 Report post Posted January 9, 2015 We have over 500 new registrations with dummy account info. Time for me to figure out a better way to filter out the spammers.... I don't feel like looking at over 500 profiles to verify them before I "validate" them.

alpierce 9 Report post Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) I'm willing to help and do work in I.T. (although I admittedly don't handle message boards much). Edited January 15, 2015 by alpierce
princess 1,711 Report post Posted January 17, 2015 Thank you for the offers!! I gave up trying to figure it out myself and put in a ticket request to the software people that make this board instead. Part of the "give us money!" request funds that we collect go towards a membership support license.
Hihomumio 168 Report post Posted January 18, 2015 Couldn't they use one of those Captcha-type authentication methods to defeat bots?
princess 1,711 Report post Posted January 18, 2015 Exactly, I just didn't know how to install it - but guess what we got done this morning! If you've registered but have not been activated, please re-register now. I deleted all the pending accounts (almost 700 of them now!) so you can re-register with your original email address.

princess 1,711 Report post Posted January 21, 2015 Dang, upgrade made some of the standard smilie faces default back to the board-issued ones. I'll fix that soon, if that's the only upgrade glitch I'll be happy!
princess 1,711 Report post Posted January 21, 2015 if that's the only upgrade glitch I'll be happy! And did ya notice I snuck an upgrade in last weekend and no one noticed issues? I think that's the first for us!!
