Michael Lohan: Lindsay Shouldn't Return to Jail

Credit: GSI Media

Friday – September 24, 2010 – 1:11pm

Michael Lohan is outraged that his troubled daughter Lindsay has been sent back to the slammer.

"I'd rather be in jail than my daughter today," he told UsMagazine.com after Friday's shocking ruling. "Jail is not good for anybody."

He told Us he wishes Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox had sent the 24-year-old actress -- who has admitting failing at least one drug test - to rehab instead.

Said Michael, "She has not gotten the help with her addiction yet."

He lashed out at the actress' attorney Shawn Chapman Holley and manager Lou Taylor, whom he said got his daughter released early from inpatient rehab at UCLA Medical Center on Aug. 24. (Prior to rehab, Lindsay served nearly two weeks in jail in her three-year-old DUI case.)

"They are destroying my daughter's life," he said. "It is a horrible situation," he added.

He said that he hoped "God would come into her life and touch her."

Kim Kardashian would be 'down for some hookups' in New York

By Tim Nudd, PEOPLE.com

October 5, 2010 4:37 p.m. EDT

"This couldn't have come at a more perfect time for me to just get out of my life and start anew," Kardashian says.

Kim Kardashian won't say no if friends want to set her up on dates after moving to New York

She and Kourtney are heading to the east coast to establish a new Dash clothing store

"Kourtney and Kim Take New York" premieres in January on E!

(PEOPLE.com) -- Now that she's moving to New York for her new E! show, Kim Kardashian says she's thrilled to give the single life a real chance -- and won't say no if friends want to set her up on dates.

"I never have really given it a shot to be single," the reality-TV star, who turns 30 later this month, tells Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show. "I tried to play that role, but I really wasn't single. And now, I'm really officially on my own, and I'm in a whole different city."

Since splitting with boyfriend Miles Austin and arriving in the Big Apple to film "Kourtney and Kim Take New York," a new series premiering in January on E!, Kim says lots of her friends are trying to play matchmaker.

"Everyone is now trying to hook me up," she says. "In a way, since I hate meeting new people and I hate that first-dating thing, it's kind of reassuring to know, 'Okay, this [person] knows them, so maybe they're normal.' "

Whether or not she finds her one true love, Kardashian could be in the mood for romance as she and her sister establish a new Dash clothing store in Gotham. "I'd be down for some hookups," Kim says.

Whatever happens, it's great to have a change of scenery, anyway. "I am so excited," she says. "This couldn't have come at a more perfect time for me to just get out of my life [in Miami and L.A.] and start anew."

David Arquette crying after sex, and more oversharing

Finally, something to distract us from Charlie Sheen's allergic reactions: David Arquette's latest episode of oversharing on Howard Stern's radio show.

Arquette told Stern Wednesday that separating from Courteney Cox was difficult, and so was having sex with someone new. "After the first girl I slept with ... a few days later ... I was, like, crying. It was the end of all the intimacy I shared with my wife. It was like a new thing. It was like ... putting that away."

Arquette later admitted to Stern that he'd also bedded an Australian woman he met at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, and that he would not date Jennifer Aniston. His overarching message though? He is still "f----- in love with my wife," he told Stern.

Khloe Kardashian says TSA screening like rape

'The people are so aggressive! ... (It) is so inappropriate!'

Us Weekly

"I got asked the other day, 'Do you want to go for a screening or get patted down?'" reality star Khloe Kardashian said. "I don't want that X-Ray to see everything, honey!"

Khloe Kardashian has joined the public outcry against ramped-up, touchy-feely security screenings at airports around the country.

"They basically are just raping you in public," Kardashian, 26, complained Monday on "Lopez Tonight."

"I got asked the other day, 'Do you want to go for a screening or get patted down?'" the reality star said. "I don't want that X-Ray to see everything, honey!"

But the pat-down didn't go so well.

"The people are so aggressive! It's like, 'Chill out, you didn't find anything on me yet, calm down,'" she said. "They say, 'OK, I'm going to be patting you down and I'm going to be touching the crease of your ass.' That is so inappropriate!"

Many non-celebs object to those pat-downs, too. Last month, John Tyner became a viral video star when he videotaped his tense encounter with TSA agents in a San Diego airport. Tyner's now-famous outcry to an agent performing a pat-down: "If you touch my junk, I will have you arrested."

Matt Leblanc: 'Friends Reunion Would Be Sad'

December 28, 2010

Matt LeBlanc has ruled out a “Friends” TV reunion because he can only imagine such an idea would be sad.

The actor, who played clueless Joey in the hit sitcom, is still in touch with his Friends castmates and he’d love to meet up for a party to reminisce, but he can’t imagine a storyline that would bring the sextet back together. He says, “What would the story be? We all get together and what? Have coffee? It would be almost sad. It’s better to just imagine what those characters are doing now.”

LeBlanc just wants to be left with the memories of his time on the show, which ended in 2004 after a 10-year run. He adds, “Friends was this magical, cool thing, like lightning in a bottle, and I feel superfortunate to have been part of it.”

Actually, I think he's right. It WAS cool in its time. Bringing it back WOULD be pathetic. Good for him.

I agree.

Besides, I'm sure they will all be supporting their great grandchildren on the residuals. Well, maybe not Aniston. ;)

have to say im on board with Ted C about aniston. If she wants a kid she'd have it. She seems to have bad taste in guys but otherwise she stays out of the spotlight for a celeb if you really think about it so ive no problem with her. I find her a hell of a lot less obnoxious than most women in hollywood.

My point for posting is that I think they all could use some work right about now. Don't be all high and mighty, Matt. Maybe he shouldn't have brought it up in the first place.

Ebert on Huck Finn Controversy: ‘I Should Have Shut Up’

Roger Ebert caused a stir yesterday when he took on the controversy over censored words in a new edition of Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, tweeting, "I'd rather be called a N***** than a Slave." After the commentariat noted that Ebert probably wasn't speaking from his own experience, he conceded today, "You know, this is very true. I'll never be called a N***** or a Slave, so I should have shut the **** up."

That's definitely the word in the sentence you would have used your asterisks on, right?

Vanilla Ice Reveals Why He Broke Up With Madonna

By PopEater Staff Posted Jan 11th 2011 05:15AM

Rapper Vanilla Ice revealed in an interview that he dated Madonna in 1991. It was "exciting" to be in a relationship with an older woman, and she was a "great lover," he told 'News of the World,' according to Digital Spy. He was 24 years old, and Madonna was 33 at the time they were dating.

Ice, whose real name is Robert Van Winkle, ended it when Madonna published her 1992 coffee-table book 'Sex,' which featured intimate photographs of the couple and images of her with other men.

"I broke up with her after she printed that book because I was hurt to be an unwitting part of this slutty package," said the 'Ice Ice Baby' rapper. "It was disgusting and cheap. We were in a relationship, yet it looked like she was screwing all these other people."

He goes on to say, "I thought she was taking pictures and running round naked because she was like that. Then when the book came out I was so embarrassed and ashamed. It was a porno. She threw me in like I was a product off a shelf, and I didn't appreciate it. That was it, and I ended it. She said she didn't have sex with these men, but it looked like she was."

Ice is currently participating in the U.K. reality competition 'Dancing on Ice.'

Lamar Odom: I Was Surprised By Khloe Kardashian's Intelligence

Tuesday – January 18, 2011 – 7:30pm

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian are madly in love -- but when the L.A. Laker first met the reality star in 2009, he admits he had some doubts about her IQ.

"I was kind of surprised at how intelligent she was," Odom, 31, tells Playboy's February issue. "You don't know what to expect. Next thing I know I'm spending every day with her. We just hit it off."

The couple famously tied the knot in September 2009 after 32 days of courtship -- and the Queens, New York native says he's been a changed man ever since. Once afraid to commit to just one woman, the Khloe and Lamar star says he's happy to take on the responsibility that comes with being a married man.

"With her I was like, 'If I do what I normally do, I'm going to lose her,'" Odom reasons. "'And if I lose her, I think it's going to hurt a lot.' Right then and there I knew. We were together every day."

Of course, spending time with Kardashian, 26, also meant hanging out with her famous family.

"They're a really strong family and fun to be around. I'm perfect for that. I come from a big family," Odom says. "I've always been on a team. I understand. The circus is what makes it tick and keeps it going."

Though they're happy to share their lives with millions of E! viewers, Odom insists there's one thing that's off-limits on their new reality show: alone time in the bedroom!

"When people see us in person, they see Khloe's not small. I'm not small. People see us and are probably like, 'Damn, I wonder how that looks,'" he says, adding that he wouldn't be embarrassed if a sex tape were to leak online. "We wouldn't have anything to be ashamed about, but no, that's not going down."

Sheen's ex still 'learning how to deal' with his antics

Denise Richards just tries to keep his wild ways from their daughters

Us Weekly

updated 2 hours 1 minutes ago 2011-01-19T23:34:05

Just days after CBS expressed a "high level of concern" regarding Charlie Sheen's recent bender in Las Vegas, Denise Richards says she's had enough of his wild ways.

"I think a lot of people are concerned about Charlie and my concern is obviously…what becomes difficult is things become so public," Richards told Access Hollywood on Wednesday. "I try my best to keep that quiet from our daughters because, you know, this is something I've never dealt with in my life until this situation."

Sure, it's great to celebrate yet another year on the air, but recognizing missteps is important to ensuring that the bad history doesn't repeat itself.

According to Richards, it hasn't been easy shielding Lola, 5, and Sam, 6, from their father's frequent binges.

"I'm learning how to deal with it," she explained. "Just keeping a lid on it for our kids has been my main priority. It does become difficult."

Though she maintains a good relationship with her ex, Richards admit she doesn't understand Sheen's behavior — particularly his highly-publicized NYC hotel debacle with porn star Capri Anderson.

"The last two years, Charlie and I have been in such a much better place and it makes it so much easier for our daughters," she said. "When we went to New York, that was our intention — to have a nice time with the girls. I thought it was great that we could all travel together and go out to dinner and do things even though we're not together anymore."

"The events that took place after that, you know, it was...difficult."

Kim Kardashian blasts 'Teen Mom'

Reality star thinks MTV show is glorifying teen pregnancy

MTV's "Teen Mom" may be a big hit, but Kim Kardashian's no fan.By Natalie Finn and Katie Rhames

E!online

updated 1/19/2011

Kim Kardashian doesn't think teen pregnancy should become a trend. Seems like a pretty noncontroversial stance, right?

After seeing a "sad and disturbing" report on Today about a high school in Memphis, Tenn., that counted 90 students who were pregnant or had given birth in the past year, the E! star took to her blog and Twitter Wednesday to tell her fans that getting pregnant at a young age is not something to aspire to.

Kim Kardashian blasts 'Teen Mom'

"It seems that shows like 'Teen Mom' are all of a sudden making teen pregnancy seem cool in the eyes of young girls," she wrote on Celebuzz. "The kids from these shows are all over the news, even on the covers of magazines, and have been become almost like celebrities, but girls, these are not people you should idolize!"

So, what do "Teen Mom's" Amber Portwood and "Teen Mom 2's" Jenelle Evans have to say about that?

"There's actually a study that shows since the original '16 and Pregnant' aired, the number of teen pregnancies have gone down," Portwood exclusively tells E! News.

"Last time I checked, Kim Kardashian had a sex tape floating around on the Internet and I'm pretty sure she made a lot of money off of it," says the mother of 2-year-old Leah. "She made a sex tape when she was younger and she wants to bash the girls on 'Teen Mom'? If you read the articles about the show, they do nothing but talk about how the show reveals how hard it is for all of us. It doesn't glamorize anything! It shows the heartache we've all gone through. :4biggrin:

"We may be 'celebrities' because our face is out there, but it's only because we've done some bad things. That's not glamorous."

Well, the paycheck is a little glamorous...

"When I think back to when I was 16, there is no way I would even have considered having a baby," Kim continued in her blog. "That thought wouldn't even have entered my head. Having a baby is one one of the biggest, and most life-changing decisions a person can make and while I'm not saying that no teen is in the position to raise a child, having a baby so young shouldn't be seen as the trendy thing to do."

Jenelle, whose temper tantrums have taken center stage on "Teen Mom 2" and whose legal problems are already providing supplementary off-camera drama, wasn't quite as eloquent as Amber was. But it doesn't sound like she's interested in Kim's thoughts on the subject, either.

"I want to say, s--- happens," Jenelle says.

Did you know that despite the ad campaign solely focusing on Giselle, and the articles claiming she's hand on, that she has NO PART in anything to do with the Ipanema sandals/flip flops. So much for a celebrity (ahem) "contributing to the process".

What a strange article. Isn't Denise Richards rumoured to be one of the Coke moms? There's a photo of her apparently snorting something on the beach next to Richie Sambora some years back. There's also articles relating to her seemingly being a "high class call girl" in the very early days of her trying to get her acting career off the ground.

Justin Bieber On Health Care: U.S. System 'Evil'

First Posted: 02/16/11 09:51 AM Updated: 02/16/11 10:04 AM

Justin Bieber has taken the United States by storm, but if he gets sick, he may find himself retreating back to Canada -- and not just for the home-cooked meals.

Bieber, a 16-year old popstar who was nominated for two Grammys and saw his bio movie make $30 million this weekend, covers the new issue of Rolling Stone. In addition to talking the usual trappings of fame -- the music, the tour stories, the girls -- the magazine asked him to wade a bit into the political waters. At least on one major issue, he already has a fully formed opinion.

Asked if he wanted to become an American citizen, Bieber made clear his love for Canada -- and its health care system.

"You guys are evil," he told the magazine, out on February 18th. "Canada's the best country in the world. We go to the doctor and we don't need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you're broke because of medical bills. My bodyguard's baby was premature, and now he has to pay for it. In Canada, if your baby's premature, he stays in the hospital as long as he needs to, and then you go home."

It's a surprisingly astute observation for the a 16-year old superstar singer, whose life mainly consists of recording, touring, appearing and otherwise working. But then, few 16-year olds have met President Obama, something Bieber has done twice, including at the White House Easter Egg Roll. He has Obama daughters Sasha and Malia to thank for that.

But while the point is moot because he doesn't plan to vote in the United States, his health care stance and chumminess with the President don't necessarily make him a sideline supporter of the Democratic party.

"I'm not sure about the parties," he said. "But whatever they have in Korea, that's bad."

So at least he's not for dictatorships.

There is at least one issue that he tacts to the right on: abortion.

"I really don't believe in abortion. It's like killing a baby?" And as for extenuating circumstances, such as rape? "Um. Well, I think that's really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I guess I haven't been in that position, so I wouldn't be able to judge that."

The stance should come as no surprise, as Bieber was raised by a very religious born-again Christian mother, Pattie Mallette, and has not been afraid to share his beliefs with fans.

Dina Lohan opens up on Lindsay's 'lifelong struggle'

Actress' mom said she knew 'early on' that daughter had addiction issues

Dina Lohan told ABC's "20/20" on Friday that Lindsay is facing “a lifelong struggle with addiction,” but she believes her daughter no longer drinks. Access Hollywood Access Hollywood

updated 2/18/2011 5:35:24 PM ET 2011-02-18T22:35:24

Dina Lohan embarked on a media blitz on Friday, opening up in a series of interviews about daughter Lindsay Lohan and what she says is her daughter’s “lifelong struggle with addiction.”

Despite her continual legal issues, Dina feels that her 24-year-old daughter has turned a corner in her life.

Dina Lohan embarked on a media blitz on Friday, opening up in a series of interviews about daughter Lindsay Lohan and what she says is her daughter’s “lifelong struggle with addiction.”

“Betty Ford was life changing for all of us. I mean, I’ve put her in a couple of rehabs over the years, and, you know, it’s not about the rehab, it’s about where she is personally in her sobriety and her growth. She’s matured considerably,” Dina told George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Friday.

Dina revealed that she’s uncertain how Lindsay will fare against her felony grand theft charge, where she’s accused of stealing a necklace from a jewelry store.

“I’m not convinced about anything because the system is the system. I’m a firm believer in the system, but anything can happen, especially in [Hollywood],” she said.

In a separate interview with Chris Cuomo on “20/20,” airing Friday night, Dina said Lindsay is facing “a lifelong struggle with addiction,” but she believes her daughter no longer drinks.

“I think she’s gonna be OK,” she said in the interview airing Friday at 10 PM on ABC. “She’s a young girl struggling. You know, she’s not perfect. … She’s learning as she goes, but she’s learning under a microscope, so I can’t even imagine how that is.”

According to Dina, Lindsay’s problems began in 2004 when she moved to Los Angeles.

“I knew early on, I just didn’t tell anyone about it. It was a personal situation,” she continued. “I saw it visually, what was happening. You know, I’m around my children. I was around Lindsay a lot, and I saw what was happening. I grabbed the bull by the horns and tried to get her help immediately.”

Adding, “I never thought it would be this — the media would be so crazy. I really never thought it would get to this level. It’s been really hard on my family, harder than anything.”

..Early Friday morning, Lindsay was photographed with ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson leaving Hollywood hotspot Teddy’s at the Roosevelt Hotel.

Later on Friday morning, Samantha Tweeted, “watching grey’s anatomy-my fav show- @lindsaylohan sleeping next 2 me- should i wake her up to let her know her mom is going on GMA? #why ?”

Lindsay is currently out on bail on a felony grand theft charge in Los Angeles and is due back in court on Feb. 23.
