TubaGirl 7 Report post Posted June 13, 2014 Is there a way to make a page on an ebook reader the same as a page of a printed book? What I mean is... I have a big reference book, around 900 pages. I have notes on where things are in the book with the page number on where to find them. i.e: "X is on page 775". I recently bought the ebook of it and when I go to page 775, X isn't there. Page 775 of the ebook is actually (part of) page 690. I can say without any exaggeration whatsoever that this is driving me to the brink of insanity. How do I make page 775 of the ebook look the same as page 775 of the printed book? I have a Nook HD+. Please help me before I vent my rage on innocent people... fykeylicious 1,099 Report post Posted June 13, 2014 I'm a Kindle user (although I mainly use the Kindle app instead of my old, gen 2 device) and am not really familiar with the Nook. However, for a variety of reasons, I don't think it's possible. Sorry boo.
fykeylicious 1,099 Report post Posted June 13, 2014 Although I guess you could play around with font sizing and margin widths to see if that can get you closer? Sorry I don't have a better suggestion.
dixiedoodah 1,003 Report post Posted June 13, 2014 Unless the book is advertised as "real page numbers" it isn't and won't be. The whole real pages is relatively new also.
TubaGirl 7 Report post Posted June 15, 2014 (edited) Thanks for everyone's help. I read somewhere that the ePub format let's you make a personal index. That sounds like it could work so I'll look into it.
