Ugh. I tried to keep this list at 15 bc a poll with too many possible answers is unwieldy but, damn! Ashley Judd/ Dario and now Diane Lane/ Josh... MAkes me feel like a deeply inadequate pollster!

Hollywood - the odds re: splitting are never in our favor ;-) We'd be better off having a poll of couples we think will last through the year ;-)

And yes, I think that's sad. Marriage is really hard for "civilians" - I can't imagine what it's like for people who live in the public eye (and that includes more than just actors...)

Christina Applegate Marries Martyn LeNoble

By Tim Nudd and Elizabeth Leonard

02/24/2013 at 11:25 PM EST

people.com

With a child ... and now married!

Christina Applegate tied the knot on Saturday with longtime boyfriend Martyn LeNoble, the father of her 2-year-old daughter Sadie, "surrounded by family in a private ceremony at their home in Los Angeles," her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

Their rings were designed by Neil Lane. And her dress was by Maria Lucia Hohan.

Applegate, 41, and LeNoble, 43, a founding member of the band Porno for Pyros, have been together since 2008. They got engaged on Valentine's Day in 2010.

This the second marriage for both. Applegate – an Emmy winner best known for her work on Married … with Children and recently Up All Night – was married to actor, writer and director Johnathon Schaech for six years before their divorce in 2007.

Today's National Enquirer says Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas are splitting. I just saw the cover in line at the store, so I didn't read the story.

What did everyone think of Affleck's "marriage is hard work" comments?

It means now that the Oscars are over, he can stop campaigning and pretending he enjoys being married :D

Actually, I didn't see his speech - I turned it off for the Walking Dead and never went back.

What did everyone think of Affleck's "marriage is hard work" comments?

Stern and Robin talked about that yesterday. Basically they were saying that no woman wants to hear that, and guys always find a way to screw things up, etc. Big foot in mouth moment.

To follow up on the National Enquirer link in the Oscars thread about Michael Douglas & CZJ splitting,

http://www.nationalenquirer.com/celebrity/...-confidential-0

So last summer the “Fatal Attraction” star left the $5 million mansion in Bedford, N.Y., where he lived with Catherine, son Dylan, 12, and daughter Carys, 9, sources say. “Michael stayed in a nearby rental property owned by a multimillionaire pal,” said an insider. “It’s a nine-room converted barn that’s just a few miles from the estate he shared with Catherine.”

So Martha Stewart & Richard Gere also have properties in Bedford. Think he shacked up with one of them? ;-)

I thought the comments were honest. Marriage is hard work, a marriage in Hollywood? Damn near fucking impossible. (and this goes without mentioning all the baggage of Ben's that Jennifer has had to deal with).

Probably not the most appropriate place to share that kind of sentiment, but I give him props for being honest.

Exclusive: Michelle Williams, Jason Segel Split

Celebrity News February 26, 2013 AT 4:00PM By UsWeekly Staff

Michelle Williams and Jason Segel are back on the market. The Oz the Great and Powerful actress and the How I Met Your Mother star, both 32, quietly ended their romance earlier this month, sources tell Us Weekly.

Though the two seemed happy together as recently as January, when they were photographed on vacation in Cancun with Williams' BFF Busy Philipps, an insider tells Us that their romance couldn't survive the long distance. (Williams lives in New York with daughter Matilda, 7, while Segel is based in Los Angeles, where his CBS sitcom is filmed.)

PHOTOS: Biggest celebrity breakups of 2012

Us Weekly broke the news of the couple's undercover romance in March 2012. In June, a source told Us that Williams and Segel were "totally in love. Jason is obsessed with Michelle." He had also taken a liking to his girlfriend's daughter (with her late ex, Heath Ledger). "He's been doing all sorts of 'dad stuff' with her, like drawing and playing music," the insider said.

The stars kept a relatively low profile throughout their relationship, rarely acknowledging the romance in public. Segel spoke vaguely about Williams last April, telling Extra, "I think we would just very much like to be happy. That's all I'm going to say about it."

Yeah, it was honest. I don't think it's wrong to talk about even good marriages requiring hard work... in the right context. Eg. you're sitting with your spouse and a few close friends at dinner and you're all chatting about how life is different at this age than you'd expected it would be, or something like that.

But DAMN, Ben! I think that saying it in front of millions of people, when a simple thank you would have done showed some awfully poor judgment. One reporter lauded it, saying it was so much better than the, "our life is perfect" b.s. but why does it have to be one or the other? He could have said something SO much more diplomatic along the lines of, "thanks for being by my side during both the sunny and not-so sunny times."

You know what I actually think it was about? He knows damn well that the Academy still sneers at him for acting like an irresponsible playboy at times (fairly often). EVERYone knows about him and Blake Lively (who, during Oscar time, was actually visiting sick newborns in a Cdn hospital with her new hubby: class act) and that he's kind of an absent dad. Why else do you think there were so many photo opps of him with the wife and kids in the pre-Oscar months?!? More than there had been for a full year before that??!? Yah, he knows his reputation and that it hurts his chance of getting respect from his peers. So, by loudly announcing that both he and his marriage were a work in progress he was basically giving a bit of a mea culpa to the Academy (most of whom probably screw around on their wives, or did when they were young enough to do so, but pride themselves on the fact that at least they were discreet about it.)

"The Vow" star Rachel McAdams and Welsh actor Michael Sheen are no longer a couple, Us Weekly said Wednesday.

McAdams, 34, and "Frost / Nixon" star Sheen, 44, met while shooting Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris" and went public with their relationship in October 2010. She told the British Sunday-newspaper magazine Stella in January 2012 that the two "didn't get together while we were filming 'Midnight in Paris,' which I feel strongly about not doing when I'm working. We became quite good friends, which I think is a great way to start."

Despite their globe-trotting schedules, she added, "Michael and I never spend more than three weeks apart."

Is it mean of me to be shocked & disappointed that none of these couples in the 2013 poll has (officially) split, yet... and it's October?!?!

TMZ.com

Paul Hogan's wife and "Crocodile Dundee" co-star has filed to divorce her hubby of 23 years ... TMZ has learned.

Linda Hogan -- no, not her -- cites irreconcilable differences. She wants spousal support, and joint legal and physical custody of their 15-year-old son, Chance.

As for money ... there will be a lot to divvy up ... Paul is worth a reported $20 mil.

Linda wants to erase any trace of being married to the "Crocodile Dundee" legend -- she wants her maiden name restored.

According to the docs the couple separated last month. A rep for Paul says the split has been amicable.

Hope it goes better than the divorce with his first wife, Noelene. Paul married her, then divorced her, then remarried her. When it finally blew up in 1986, it became one of Australia's ugliest celeb divorces ever.

There was certainly a sign trouble was brewing ... Paul and Linda sold their Malibu mansion last month to Chris Hemsworth.

Bottom line ... it's a crocodile done deal.

I still feel a little grudge over how he left his wife of decades for the younger model, although their marriage has also lasted a long time. How did he amass 20 million? Does he do work in Australia or just invested well? Her face gives me pain; looks like a lot of botox and fillers. Sorry to be so critical. I am trying to stop that. -_-

Taye Diggs & Idina Menzel separate: http://wonderwall.msn.com/movies/taye-digg...s-27532.gallery

Given the frequency of cheating rumors, I'm surprised they stayed together 10 years. Sad though - they're a gorgeous & talented couple. Of course that doesn't make them ideal partners for each other.....

I'm not surprised, either, but I am uncharacteristically sad. They were married for 10 years but together since '96 when they met during RENT. :(

I don't think they've been continuously together since 1996 though.
