2013 Fall (network) season

Recommended Posts

So what is everyone going to try this season? We usually watch an episode or two of what I think we might like, and if it's good - it stays in the dvr ;-) We recorded Sleepy Hollow and watched it last night - if the pilot is any indicator, I'm going to LOVE this show! Fox does that sci-fi action with a little romance/sexual tension thing so well. Also have the range of new sitcoms on CBS & NBC on the docket, though I'm not terribly excited about any of them at this point. Ausiello thinks Trophy Wife should be a keeper.....

DVR'd Sleepy Hollow and it's definitely staying in the rotation. Tried to watch Dads because my husband likes Seth Green, and it's terrible. But Brooklyn Nine Nine made us laugh enough to give it another episode. The other ones I'm looking forward to are Agents of SHIELD, the Blacklist, and Dracula.

Trophy Wife and We ARe Men are two shows I plan on checking out. I tend to like fluffy TV shows, I get enough serious in real life that I don't really want to watch it on TV too.

I did not watch Sleepy Hollow - did I make a mistake? Should I add now? :3huh:

YES! I think they're re-airing the pilot tomorrow night? Record/watch it and see if you like it. The female lead I really like, and Ichabod Crane has the best accent. (my husband actually looked over at me at one point and said - your panties are moistening, aren't they") But my husband liked the show too.

Okay, will add to TiVo :)

They were setting up a LOT of the season in the Sleepy Hollow pilot and setting up the background to allow what happens to happen (that was my impression at least) I was trying to work online and kept having to rewind to catch a detail again.

The Blacklist, Sleepy Hollow, maaaybe Hostages (although I'm usually not keen on this type of storyline), the Michael J Fox show, Betrayal...to name a few. I've been watching The White Queen and like it. The list of returning favorites is much longer though.

I need to watch the White Queen when it comes out on dvd - we don't get starz!

Same here. Glad to hear it's as good as I hoped it would be!

I really like it--I'm sad it's not getting another season.

Only new show I haven't liked so far is The Crazy Ones. Which bums me out because I LOVE Robin Williams & Sarah Michelle Gellar. Maybe it'll get better......I've only seen one episode.

I really like The Blacklist! It's one of my favs so far. SHIELD was ok, but I think I had hyped it up in my mind to be better because I love Phil Coulson so much in the movies. I'll still watch, but I wanted to like it more.

I really enjoyed Shield - I was worried because of the remake/re-editing of the pilot but my husband and I thought it was pretty good. I'm not totally immersed in that particular Whedon-verse (but I do have plans to download Avengers & see Iron Man 3 soon ;-)

I've only seen the first episode of Trophy Wife, but it cracked me up. I'm also watching Sleepy Hallow per your recommendations. Have not seen The Crazy Ones or Shield.

I liked the first episode of Trophy Wife too!

I did not *love* the first episode of Michael J Fox. Haven't watched the 2nd episode yet. We'll keep it recording, but I hope it picks up.....

I love Michael J. Fox, but am I the only one who thinks his show would be just too painful to watch?

Love the The Blacklist.

I was also not too keen on the new Michael J Fox series. I'd really been looking forward to seeing him back in a series too. I'll watch a couple more, but don't have high hopes unfortunately. He's done guest appearances on other shows, several on The Good Wife, and he was fabulous there.

The Blacklist is a definite win.
