Les Miserables started their Silver Jubilee celebrations last year with a live

Les Miserables musical though an adaption from a French novel of the same now has become an international fame. The most successful musical of the history has its original production at the London's Barbican Centre where its English version was first presented on 8 October 1985 where it is running in its 26th year. The serious musical reached America in 1987 after two years of its English debut in London and since its introduction at Broadway in 1987 it became the third longest running show in the history of Broadway.

Les Miserables started their Silver Jubilee celebrations last year with a live concert at The O2 arena and now DVD and Blu-Ray copies of the concert will be available on Amazon for sale from February 22, 2011. The 25th anniversary celebrations of the prestigious musical are still continue and the new American production is on its US tour. The new production has new staging and the out of the box scenery inspired from the paintings of Victor Hugo, the author of original French novel.

The new revival is the part of the 25th anniversary of the Les Miserables and after getting huge appreciation both from critics and audience in America now the Broadway production is running at the Cadillac Palace Theatre, Chicago, IL where it will run through February 27. Les Miserables also made its debut at David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts' on January 31 and will run through February 12. The US tour of the Claude-Michel Schönberg musical will perform in venues at Baltimore, Louisville, Columbus, Detroit, Cleveland, Omaha, Milwaukee, Nashville and Los Angles among others. The Les Miserables tour will wrap up on September 25, 2011 at the Jefferson Concert Hall, Birmingham, AL. The musical is also currently touring UK and Spain.

Les Miserables will arrive on the PBS television for a concert on March 6th. The Les Miserables PBS concert features teenage singer and actor Nick Jonas in the character of young student Marius. The other cast of the musical includes Alfie Boe (Jean Valjean), Norm Lewis (Javert), Matt Lucas (Thenardier), Lea Salonga (Fantine), Jenny Galloway (Madame Thenardier), Camilla Kerslake (Cosette), Ramin Karimloo (Enjolras), and Samantha Barks (Eponine).

The glorious and legendary Les Miserables musical has toured 42 countries and has been witnessed by more than 56 million people across the world in 21 languages. It has won many awards including Tony Awards, John Kraaijkamp Musical Awards (Netherlands) and the 2010 London LifeStyle Award for London Theatre Show of the Year.
