Aguilera Leaves Richards Confused
KEITH RICHARDS was left bewildered when CHRISTINA AGUILERA joined THE ROLLING STONES to perform a song during their new MARTIN SCORSESE-directed concert film - because he had no idea who she was.
The guitarist looks a little puzzled on film as Aguilera takes the stage for a rendition of Live With Me in new rockumentary Shine A Light, and he freely admits he thought she was a fan invading the stage.
Richards says, "This girl came out and I was like, 'Who is that?' I had no idea. "I'm still not sure who that is. She can sing, though. And she looked good."

Run Keef, ruuuuuuuuuun! You're old, you're a legend, you don't need this shit, man. It took me ages to figure out who the hell Christina Aguilera was - although unlike many of her contemporaries, she can actually sing. It took much longer for me to figure out who Jessica Simpson was, years actually. I kept saying, "Who IS that chick?" And people kept telling me she was this christian bimbo girl but she could really sing - something I still haven't heard any evidence of. I don't own a single CD by either one of those girls, although there are a couple of songs by Aguilera that I could probably hum.
Anyway, nevermind the silly bimbos. I'm really interested in this movie. The Stones have done incredibly well for themselves landing this director. In the late 70's Martin Scorsese made what is probably the greatest rock and roll documentary of all time,
The Last Waltz about the farewell performance of The Band. Most don't even remember The Band anymore but they were, actually, an incredible band. A real rock and roll band in a business filled to the brim with fake, poser, asshole, corporate bands. So good for you, Keef and Mick and the boys.

Now for fuck's sake, please stop touring before you break a hip onstage.
