Old Bag

Keith Richards has been named as one of the new wrinkly faces of Louis Vuitton. The 64-year-old stars in an ad campaign that launched this month. A spokeswhore for LV said, "Keith Richards is timeless and ageless. He's lean and mean and he's still current."

Ageless?! Did that bitch say this was a straight face? His face looks like a block of wood.

Keith will donate the money he made from the campaign to Al Gore's Climate Project.

Keith better look over his contract again. I think Louis Vuitton has more in mind. They probably want to turn HIM into a limited-edition Louis Vuitton bag. I mean, you can't find that kind of leather anymore.

Below is a billboard from Keith's new ad campaign.

Amy Winehouse's No. 1 Fan? Keith Richards!
By Caris Davis

Amy Winehouse is the only modern-day pop singer who gets the Keith Richards seal of approval.

Asked by the British Mail on Sunday's Live magazine which current artists he admires, the Rolling Stones legend said: "There's only one person. That girl Amy."

But the 64-year-old Richards, who has admitted to his own past problems with drugs, also offered words of warning to the troubled star. "That girl isn't going to be around long unless she sorts herself out pretty quick," he said. "Amy's got to get smart."

The Stones' lead singer, Mick Jagger – who performed with Winehouse at the 2007 Isle of Wight festival – also warned that drugs can sap your musical productivity.

"It completely took over our lives creatively and we couldn't do this and couldn't do that," he said of the band's drug use in the '70s. "You had to spend all your time trying to deal with the police. The same thing has happened to Amy Winehouse."

Aguilera Leaves Richards Confused

KEITH RICHARDS was left bewildered when CHRISTINA AGUILERA joined THE ROLLING STONES to perform a song during their new MARTIN SCORSESE-directed concert film - because he had no idea who she was.

The guitarist looks a little puzzled on film as Aguilera takes the stage for a rendition of Live With Me in new rockumentary Shine A Light, and he freely admits he thought she was a fan invading the stage.

Richards says, "This girl came out and I was like, 'Who is that?' I had no idea. "I'm still not sure who that is. She can sing, though. And she looked good."

Run Keef, ruuuuuuuuuun! You're old, you're a legend, you don't need this shit, man. It took me ages to figure out who the hell Christina Aguilera was - although unlike many of her contemporaries, she can actually sing. It took much longer for me to figure out who Jessica Simpson was, years actually. I kept saying, "Who IS that chick?" And people kept telling me she was this christian bimbo girl but she could really sing - something I still haven't heard any evidence of. I don't own a single CD by either one of those girls, although there are a couple of songs by Aguilera that I could probably hum.

Anyway, nevermind the silly bimbos. I'm really interested in this movie. The Stones have done incredibly well for themselves landing this director. In the late 70's Martin Scorsese made what is probably the greatest rock and roll documentary of all time, The Last Waltz about the farewell performance of The Band. Most don't even remember The Band anymore but they were, actually, an incredible band. A real rock and roll band in a business filled to the brim with fake, poser, asshole, corporate bands. So good for you, Keef and Mick and the boys. biggrin.gif Now for fuck's sake, please stop touring before you break a hip onstage.

I saw these guys at the Coliseum in LA in October, 1981. They were the last and best band on after a LONG day of music. One of the warm up bands was a goofy little kid called Prince, who came strutting out like he owned the place. He thought he was the star of the day. He got booed off the stage. Mick was awesome that day and they were probably all high as kites, but they were so good. They played to a gigantic sold out crowd for at least two hours straight. It is amazing that these guys are still singing and maybe a little pathetic too. I do get lots of "cool" points from my 17-year-old nephew and his pals that I went to all those great concerts way back then. These kids LOVE the Stones.

Richards: Acting Is Not For Me

Rocker KEITH RICHARDS has warned Hollywood bosses he's not interested in pursuing a movie career, following his appearance in the final PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN film.

The Rolling Stones legend played Captain Teague in last year's (07) Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End after his "mate" Johnny Depp begged him to join the cast.

However, Richards insists his decision to star in the film was inspired by his friendship with Depp - who stars as Captain Jack Sparrow in the swashbuckling trilogy - rather than his own acting ambitions.

He says, "Now I'm just sitting and waiting to see if Johnny Depp's got a bit-part for me in the next one! No, I don't pursue it.

"I don't go around saying, 'Hey, I need a job as an actor.' If somebody says, 'You're the only guy that can play this,' I say, 'OK.' But I only did Pirates Of The Caribbean because Johnny Depp is a mate."

TMI about Keith Richard’s dad’s ashes
The Scoop

I wondered whether the one-year anniversary of Keith Richards announcing that he snorted his father’s ashes should be commemorated. I was prepared to stand firm with my decision that some things are better left in the past, but my hand has been forced. Richards, who later denied the story, has now confirmed it to Blender magazine.

“I opened my dad's ashes and some of them blew out over the table, just because of the suction of the lid, you know what I mean? I looked at my dad's ashes down there and — what am I gonna do? Do I desecrate them with a dustbin and broom? So I wet me (sic) finger and I shoved a little bit of Dad up me (sic) hooter.

"The rest of them I put round an oak tree, which is coming up a treat. And I'm sure he's still blessing me,” he told Blender.

Hopefully the two-year anniversary will pass without incident.

Richards Plans Guitar Museum

Veteran rocker KEITH RICHARDS owns 3,000 guitars - but only has time to play ten of them.

The Rolling Stones star is sad he cannot use all of his prized instruments, so is considering opening a museum to put the collection on show.

He says, "I've probably got too many guitars," admitted Keith, 64. "I've only got one pair of hands.

"It's an incredible collection of instruments, beautiful instruments. But I can't play them all.

"Maybe I will give them away or make a museum."

Keith Richards Still Carries Knife For Self Defense

Rolling Stones star Keith Richards breaks the law by carrying a deadly knife everywhere he goes - as a means of self defense.

The 64-year-old guitarist has long been known to own a ratchet knife with a six-inch blade, and he still carries it tucked in his trousers. Richards admits his knife has been a constant companion after he learned how to use it on a trip to Jamaica.

He tells Blender magazine, "The actual cut doesn't hurt. All the blood comes down, and then you kick the f---er in the balls. It's a very efficient way of dealing with problems. I learned it in Jamaica. I've always carried one."

Richards doesn't reveal any incidents in which he has used the knife - but by just carrying it in his native Britain he is breaking strict knife laws that prohibit blades longer than three inches from being carried in public.

The star was previously arrested for carrying the blade in 1975 when Arkansas traffic cops pulled over Richards and bandmate Ronnie Wood, and discovered the concealed weapon. The knife charges were later dropped.

Richards Not A Bowie Fan

ROLLING STONES star KEITH RICHARDS has ridiculed fellow British rocker DAVID BOWIE for his love of attention-seeking.

Richards, 64, admits he is "not a huge fan" of Bowie because he would rather pose than perform, reports GigWise.com.

He says, "It's all pose. It's all f**king posing. It's nothing to do with music. He knows it too."

Keith Richards Denies Sobriety Reports

Keith Richards has denied reports that he has given up drinking alcohol.

The Rolling Stones guitarist also suggested that his band may record new material soon but cast doubt on the possibility of another world tour.

Richards told Rolling Stone: "Listen, the rumors of my sobriety are greatly exaggerated. And we'll leave it at that."

Of a new Stones album, he added: "There's no definite plans, but I can't see any of them stopping. I wouldn't be surprised if we did some recording later this year.

"I don't know how the rest of them feel about roadwork at the moment. Maybe we'll search for a different way for the Stones to go back on the road.

"Maybe not the football stadiums anymore. Maybe something different. You can't go around there in lemon-yellow tights forever."
