Kid Rock tames his trashy ways for his new babeacious blonde accessory Jaime Pressly at the New York Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. With his pressed white western shirt, black leather jacket and maroon cords, it looks like he even did a load of laundry. Pressly steps into ex-gal-pal Pam Anderson's dainty footsteps with a white tank, denim jacket, low-slung pink silk skirt and gladiator heels. Since she can't compete with Miss P's floatation devices, she shows off her sharp hipbones instead. Nice try--new girl, but no fuzzy dice.

Jaime Pressly is way better looking that Pam A. anyday. At least, she still looks like a real person and not some inflatable doll. If you've ever seen J. Pressly in movies, she's not in the least bit flat chested--but they are right, she just can't use herself as a flotation device in case of disaster... cool.gif

I've also read accounts from a couple of different actors that in person she is just drop dead gorgeous--even better looking than on-screen. Unfair!! wink.gif wink.gif tongue.gif biggrin.gif

Kid Rock Arrested on Assault Charges
Wednesday Feb 16, 2005 10:00am EST

Kid Rock is in hot water after Nashville police arrested the rapper for allegedly punching a disc jockey at a local adult entertainment club.

The Detroit-born Rock (real name: Robert James Ritchie), 34, was brought before Night Court Commissioner Howard Taradash early Wednesday morning and booked for simple assault, the Associated Press reports. Bond was set at $3,000, and the entertainer remained in custody until the money could be posted.

"Everything is wonderful. It was a beautiful night," Rock said as he left the Criminal Justice Center.

The incident reportedly occurred around 3 a.m. at Christie's Cabaret near downtown Nashville, said Nashville police Sgt. James Smith. "Inside the establishment there was a squabble concerning, I guess, the selection of music," he said. "There are no major injuries but an assault did take place."

TV footage taken outside the club reportedly shows a DJ identified as Jay Campos with a red mark on his face and broken eyeglasses in his hand.

Kid Rock was among several Nashville entertainers, including Hank Williams Jr., who sang at a Tuesday memorial service at Ryman Auditorium for songwriter and promoter Merle Kilgore. Rock's number was "I Saw the Light."

KID Rock wasn't lonely for long after he and Pamela An derson split last week. Our sources say Rock was already in contact with his ex-girl friend Conchita Leeflang, a Suriname native. The two dated in 2005, and on Leef lang's Web site there are numerous pictures of the two at the 2005 Kentucky Derby and on a private plane. Anderson is said to have been suspicious of the two's friendship for several months - with good reason. A Nashville source said when Rock vis ited there several months ago, he spent a lot of time chatting up a "Pamela look-alike."

Kid Rock spent the holidays with U.S. personnel in the Middle East.
"This year, for Christmas, I wanted to make sure somebody was thanking our troops for their service, no matter what our views are on the current situation in Iraq," he said.

Kid Rock Visits Troops in Iraq for Christmas

U.S. troops in Kuwait and Iraq got an all-American treat this Christmas: A visit from Kid Rock.

"This year for Christmas I wanted to make sure somebody was thanking our troops for their service, no matter what our views are on the current situation in Iraq," the musician, 35, said in a statement.

"I could be spending Christmas with my family, but in my heart I know this is the right thing to do – not only for our men and women in service, but also to set an unselfish example for my son and send a strong message to the world to be thankful and think of others at Christmas time," said Rock (real name: Robert Ritchie), whose son, Robert Jr., is 13.

He arrived in Kuwait from his Detroit hometown on Dec. 23 and from there flew to Iraq. On Christmas Eve, he writes in his online blog, he sang and signed autographs for 16 hours on visits to three separate camps. "Met lots of troops," he writes. "Played my guitar and sang some songs for 'em, old school style ? no mic stand (so people had to hold the mic while I sang!!)."

Another highlight: "Had one of the most thrilling rides of my life in a Blackhawk today with some real 'rock n roll cowboy pilots'!! I never knew you could do things like we did in a helicopter!!"

But things turned grim on Christmas when the troops learned one of their Hummers had been hit with in improvised explosive device while on a mission. "I went with the captain immediately to the hospital in Baghdad and hung with two soldiers who were injured," Rock writes. "One of the other soldiers I do not think made it. I said a prayer for him."

The rocker is due to entertain the troops through Dec. 29, the Associated Press reports. He first made such a trip in 2003 as part of a U.S.O. tour to Kuwait, Qatar and Iraq.

Jealous Kid Misses Target

KID Rock wanted to ring in the New Year with a fist to Tommy Lee's face - but he beat up a door at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, instead. "Kid is divorcing Pam Anderson, but he heard [her ex] Tommy was hooking up with her, and got all riled up," our source said. "So he went over at 6 a.m. with two bodyguards, and began kicking down what he thought was Tommy's door. Only it wasn't - and Kid found himself staring at some poor, startled family. He signed an autograph for them as security arrived, then bolted over to the Paradise strip club." Bloodshed was avoided, but Lee - in Vegas to play The Joint with his band, Rock Star Supernova - should watch his back. "Tommy has been calling Kid Rock and taunting him about Pam, and Kid Rock was ready to kick some serious ass," a source said. Lee's rep told us, "Tommy is aware that this incident occurred, but wasn't at the time as he was staying on another floor."

Kid Rock Vs. Anna Nicole

THE Kentucky Derby means a lot of things to people, but to Kid Rock, it's really special. Kid told the May issue of Maxim he had a huge fight with Anna Nicole Smith at the Derby last year. "I had my son with me, and she strolls in shooting a TV show, so I politely ask her 'Miss, we're just trying to have a good time, and you've got those [bleeping] cameras rolling,' " Kid said. "And she was like, '[Bleep] you.' So I was like '[Bleep] me? [Bleep] you. You're a [bleep]ing pig.' Then she gave my son 300 bucks. I didn't know about it until we got home 'cause he bought some Nintendo [bleep]. I'm like, 'Where did you get the money?' He's like, 'That blond girl with the big boobs gave it to me.' " Every year Rock travels to the Derby with Peyton Manning, Dennis Hopper, Travis Tritt and George Strait. "It's kind of a little clique of us that you see every year. You have to understand the levels of whiskey involved. One time I ended up in a freestyle battle against Meat Loaf." Rock and girlfriend Jessica Stamm were expected at the Stereo party in Louisville last night.

Kid Rock Fondly Remembers His Tussle with Anna Nicole
Filed under: Anna Nicole Smith , Kid Rock

Ah, I wish he would have told this story at her eulogy. Kid Rock related his account of a run-in he experienced with the busty blonde, while she was with shooting a television show (I'm guessing reality...) at the Kentucky Derby last year to Maxim.

The Rock told Maxim magazine, "I had my son with me, and she strolls in shooting a TV show, so I politely ask her 'Miss, we're just trying to have a good time, and you've got those [bleeping] cameras rolling. And she was like, '[Bleep] you.' So I was like '[Bleep] me? [Bleep] you. You're a [bleep]ing pig.'"

However, to try and smooth things over, Anna Nicole apologized to Kid Rock's son and gave him $300, according to Rock.

"I didn't know about it until we got home 'cause he bought some Nintendo [bleep]. I'm like, 'Where did you get the money?' He's like, 'That blond girl with the big boobs gave it to me.'"

Aww, that's an incredibly expletive-laden, yet heart-warming story. I have a feeling that if she would have lived to have another argument with Kid, it would have ended with some sex in a trailer park, and six drunken weddings to each other.

Celebs Horse Around At Derby

May 8, 2007 -- THE biggest celebrity shock at this year's Kentucky Derby was the surprise marriage of actress Brittany Murphy to her boyfriend of just a few months, screenwriter Simon Monjack.

The newlyweds showed up in Louisville after a quick trip to Las Vegas and proceeded to party with their wedding rings on at the Playboy bash Friday night. A friend told Page Six that they had wed in secret. A rep for Murphy - whose credits include "8 Mile" and "Clueless" and who has been engaged more than once before - didn't return calls.

Also at the Playboy party was actress Rebecca Budig and her husband, former "Bachelor" Bob Guiney, as well as Tom Brady, Bobby Flay - walking around with a woman who was not his wife, Stephanie March - and Julius "Dr. J." Erving.

Downtown at the Stereo party, Kevin Federline was not amused when organizers brought him to a table in the VIP area he deemed was too small and said, "Yo, I need a bigger table - I got six bitches with me."

After DJ AM finished his set, Federline hi-jacked the microphone from Kid Rock. K-Fed gave "shout-outs" to hot girls in the crowd and screamed, "I got four kids already - which one of you Kentucky girls wants to have my fifth?"

There were no takers, and a spy said Kid started to "tool" on Federline, making fun of him.

While Kid Rock was verbally jousting with Federline, his girlfriend, May Anderson, was giving her own performance. The Danish beauty lay on the floor of the club, pulled her skirt up and allowed her friends to take photos of her undergarments. "At least she was wearing them," one spy mused.

Across the room, Scott Speedman was unsuccessfully hitting on every blonde at the party, including the sober former Miss USA, Tara Conner, while Star Jones and Al Reynolds ground hips nearby.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Fallon, who was with his girlfriend, producer Nancy Juvonen, all weekend, never made it to the Stuff magazine party Friday night because, a friend said, "His driver invited him to a fraternity party. He played beer pong until 5 a.m. with the Sigma Chi frat boys [from the University of Louisville] and flirted with sorority girls."

Beyond blisters: Herpes has an upside
Virus shown to protect mice against bubonic plague, other dangerous germs

The herpes family of viruses can have a surprising upside — it can protect against the bubonic plague and other bacterial contagions, at least in mice.

Research into whether a similar mechanism applies to humans and other mammalian hosts should be conducted, said viral immunologist Skip Virgin at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. "There may be symbiotic advantages to chronic infections with these viruses."

These new results do not mean people should go out and get infected with herpes, Virgin stressed. They probably already are. Nearly all humans become infected with multiple herpes virus family members during childhood. These germs not only include the herpes simplex viruses, which lead to cold sores and possibly genital herpes, but also the diseases responsible for chickenpox and "mono," as well as several less well-known ailments. Herpes infections have bedeviled animals for more than 100 million years.

After the initial period of infection, these viruses enter a dormant state known as latency. Many lurk for the lifetime of their hosts "as permanent passengers" without causing overt symptoms, Virgin said.

Virgin and his colleagues experimented with viruses highly similar genetically to ones that cause mono and other diseases in humans. These germs normally cause fatigue and ruffled fur in mice, although the researchers used dose levels too low to cause symptoms.

The scientists discovered latent infections with these viruses could protect mice from bacterial infections, including Yersinia pestis, which causes bubonic plague, and Listeria monocytogenes, which causes one kind of food poisoning, findings detailed in the May 17 issue of the journal Nature.

The herpes viruses spur the immune system to boost levels of a protein hormone called interferon gamma "that in effect puts some immune system soldiers on yellow alert, causing them to patrol for invaders with their eyes wide open and defense weapons ready," Virgin said. As a result, the bacteria grew more slowly and were less likely to kill the mice. Future research can investigate whether these latent infections protect against other viruses.

Still, while people might benefit from symbiotic relationships with the herpes family of viruses, they can also have serious consequences, such as deafness, blindness, encephalitis and cancer.

"The presence of these viruses seems to be a two-edged sword," Virgin told LiveScience. "I am quite concerned that we be sensitive to these true human tragedies while recognizing the potential of a new way to view these infections."

Uncovering any potential benefits of these viruses in humans will prove hard, Virgin cautioned, "since nearly all humans are infected with these viruses at a young age, so it will be hard to find people without them for comparison."

Kid Rock scrams from Cannes because of Pam

Kid Rock had to flee a restaurant in Cannes Thursday night when his ex, Pamela Anderson, walked in.

The rocker had been celebrating the French film festival at Baoli with his newer model, May Anderson, along with singer James Blunt and sizzling Swedish centerfold Victoria Silvstedt. The bash was thrown by Unik, owner of New York's Gin Lane.

"All of a sudden," says our spywitness, "Kid is like, 'Let's go, let's go!' He grabs May and pulls her out, and they leave right away. Kid Rock freaks out, and I've never seen him like that in my life. He left James Blunt there!"

Rock left Blunt clueless in the loo, but they hooked up later at the V.I.P. Room, where strippers abounded and Jude Law was sitting on the floor, philosophizing.

Blunt, possibly still pining over deep dish Petra Nemcova, seemed happy with the escape. "The strippers were giving him cigarettes out of their mouths, giving him lap dances. He was totally into it. He was there all night."

Back at Unik's party, model Marcus Schenkenberg, another Pamela Anderson ex, ratted Rock out. "He told her Kid Rock was in the building, and she got upset. Marcus said, 'Yeah, and I think he's going to leave because you're here.' Then she got on her BlackBerry and started texting somebody — she was so mad that he would leave to avoid her."

Big bad Rock! It's not like Pam had a rolling pin or anything.

Meanwhile, Leonardo DiCaprio had paparazzi tripping over themselves when he joined actress Daya Fernandez at a yacht party. Contrary to British reports, we're assured it wasn't his yacht and Fernandez is just a friend. DiCaprio, who is due to begin shooting "Revolutionary Road" today in N.Y.C. with his "Titantic" co-star Kate Winslet, came to Cannes to screen "The 11th Hour." Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter celebrated the compelling eco-documentary with a party on Saturday at the Hotel du Cap.

Mischa Barton, Valentino, Faye Dunaway, Kyle MacLachlan, Kid Rock, Kerry Washington, Barry Diller and Diane von Furstenberg were among those strolling through the hotel's grounds, made trippy with smoke and colored searchlights. Besides the sight of Carter and actress Kelly Lynch leading a conga line, the big head-turners were Bono and his U2 mates, who came over after giving a mini-concert to launch their film "U2 3D." We hear the Irish minstrels are headed next to Morocco to gather sounds for their next album.

Kid Rock Not Interested in a Tommy Lee Relationship with Pammie
Filed under: Cannes , Jessica Simpson , Kid Rock , May Anderson , Pamela Anderson , Parties

I guess Kid Rock doesn't seem to care that if he played his cards right, he could probably end up on permanent booty call status with the former "Baywatch" star. Last week at Cannes, when Kid caught wind that his ex, Pam Anderson, was in the building, he bolted. Rock was enjoying himself at the film festival with his new girl, May Anderson, when he heard that Pam was coming into the restaurant where he was dining and he decided to make like a tree and...get out of there.
"All of a sudden," says our spywitness, "Kid is like, 'Let's go, let's go!' He grabs May and pulls her out, and they leave right away. Kid Rock freaks out, and I've never seen him like that in my life. He left James Blunt there!"

He left James Blunt! That's ridiculous! You only leave James Blunt when you're really freaked out, so Kid must have been beside himself. However, Pam's other ex, model Marcus Schenkenberg was privy to the entire episode and tattled to Pam, according to a Rush & Molloy source:
"He told her Kid Rock was in the building, and she got upset. Marcus said, 'Yeah, and I think he's going to leave because you're here.' Then she got on her BlackBerry and started texting somebody -- she was so mad that he would leave to avoid her."

Yeah, lucky for Pam, she's got ex-lovers spies everywhere. Look at Marcus, playing it cool and shit. He may be a model, but he's smart enough to know not to bite the hand that could potentially sleep with him again.

Bitch Fight!

During Alicia Keys' performance at last night's MTV VMAs Pamela Anderson's exes had themselves a little fight. Kid Rock slapped Tommy Lee right across the face. Witnesses say it all started when Tommy kept antagonizing Kid throughout the night and Kid tried to ignore him. Kid finally couldn't take it anymore and slapped the hell out of him. Security immediately threw the two out of the awards show, but Kid was allowed to come back later on.

Later on cops found Kid and cited him for misdemeanor battery.

"This is what people do when they have shitty albums and their careers are going down the drain."

Put him in the emergency room how? By breathing on him? Dick-slapping him. Actually, that would've been stellar. Who wouldn't want to be dick-slapped by Tommy Lee.

Kid Rock Goes After Sean Penn
http://www.dlisted.com/

In the new issue of Penthouse Magazine (classy) Kid Rock takes aim at a certain American actor who is against the war. It doesn't take a damn brain surgeon to figure out he's talking about Sean Penn.

Kid Pebble said, "These kids [U.S. soldiers] are very young and a lot of them think people who oppose the war are against them. You have to be very careful with what you talk about - especially when you are some Hollywood fucker. Just because you made a great movie doesn't make you are an expert on foreign policy."

"I was at the White House drinking a Beam and Coke, shooting the shit with Rumsfeld, when [President] Bush came by and gave me five like we were on Seven Mile and Van Dyke in Detroit."

"If it weren't for guns and people who know how to use them in America, we'd all be sitting around with swastikas saying, 'Heil Hitler!' "

It's funny, because he says that Sean Penn isn't an expert on foreign policy, but he thinks he is? And it's not like this country defeated the damn Nazis. Ugh, he's such a moron. Pam Anderson come get your ex-husband! This douchebag needs to STFU!

Funny story about Sean Penn though. A Dlisted reader was at the premiere of his movie "Into the Wild" at the DGA theater in Los Angeles a few weeks ago. Sean was so offended by the American flag hanging in the lobby that he demanded that it be removed! They denied his ass. Ahahaha!

Damn, Sean is so fucking hot, but so damn serious! Get effed once in a while.

Kid Rock on Larry King Live dishing on fight with Tommy Lee and Pam

QUOTE
KID ROCK: It was a lot of years of disrespect, a lot of years of being there. I wish I could say that I was raised, you know, as a granola-eating kind of a peace and love kind of hippie thing. But, you know, I'm from outside Detroit and I was raised that you -- you give respect and you get respect. And I was disrespected by this guy for a long time.

One of the last things that happened was when we went through our divorce -- and he had been kind of a menace through our whole relationship at every level.

KING: He interfered with it?

KID ROCK: Yes, interfered with it, just the way things were handled with his kids, with me, with Pam, with everything. There was just a tremendous amount of disrespect. And I always thought -- and I always took the higher road. And I always talked great about him to his kids and, you know -- even though I didn't feel like that sometimes, because I know they're innocent.

What the last thing that I thought of was, as we were getting our divorce, they were at a birthday party with their sons. And he went into her purse and grabbed her Blackberry and started e-mailing me really inappropriate stuff.

And my e-mail was simple back. I said, "You're nothing but a phone call. I will see you again."

I left it at that. And lo and behold -- you know I can't say that MTV wasn't a little bit of a culprit in this.

I mean why are me and Pam and Tommy in the same room?

They know the history there. It's not like it's a secret. It's very public.

So we're in this room together. And I kind of even played that down. I said, you know what, I'm having a great time tonight. I'm here to promote my record, for no other reason am I here than to promote my record.

And I was trying to figure out why is he here?

This guy is, you know, 44, 45 years old. He's not in a band anymore. He's not -- he wasn't invited. He's not a part of the show. He's not performing on the show. I even let that slide.

I went to the bathroom. I come back and he's pretty much sitting like in my seat at my table right there.

And when I came back, it just clicked. And I kind of did what I thought any man would have done. It wasn't even conscious. It was just like...

KING: Did you hurt him?

KID ROCK: That's how I -- I've got to handle this.

KING: Did you hurt him?

KID ROCK: Well, I don't -- I don't know if it's good, you know -- I don't like to -- I don't like to damage people's egos.

KING: We asked Tommy Lee to respond to Kid Rock and to the VMA episode. He sent us this quite: "My family and I want nothing more to do with this unfortunate situation."

KID ROCK: Yes, neither do I.

KING: OK...

KID ROCK: As far as I'm concerned, it's handled and it's done.

KING: By the way, I'm told tonight -- I don't know how you'll react -- "Extra" is reporting that Pamela is going to get married this weekend in Las Vegas. And she's marrying Rick Salomon, who is most famous for making the sex tape with Paris Hilton.

KID ROCK: Good for her.

KING: Are you happy for her?

KID ROCK: (LAUGHTER).

I could, you know, whatever.

KING: Does this shock you?

KID ROCK: I don't get shocked by much. I've got so many other things going on that, you know -- you know, actually, it's kind of good. Hopefully that takes -- you know, the last thing I want is this stuff to overshadow my music, which is why I'm here talking to you.

KING: Correct.

KID ROCK: So, hopefully, this maybe takes a little bit of focus off it and this guy can -- you know, go, Rick.

KING: (LAUGHTER).

KID ROCK: Here. Handoff. Go for it.

KING: By the way, we asked Pamela Anderson's representative if she wanted to respond to anything you said and here's all she said: "I hope his album does well. I hope he's happy in life. We were married for four months. If he has nothing nice to say about me, please tell him to stop talking."

KID ROCK: Wah, wah, wah, wah.

KING: (INAUDIBLE).

What went wrong with Pamela?

KID ROCK: Oh, Lord, where do you start?

You know, there was the miscarriage thing, which was -- you know, and some of this stuff is really bad. I've never been this guy. I've never been this guy to talk about relationships, so it's completely weird sitting on this show with lights shining on me and knowing...

KING: Well, we'll get off of it. I just -- it's the news. We'll cover it and then we'll go on to other things.

KID ROCK: You know, I'll tell you -- I mean it had stuff to do with the pre-nup and the post-nup. It had stuff to do with lying to me, mainly about a miscarriage and other things. But, really, what it was -- you know, you can be in love with somebody and not realize what's going on on the outside, because your heart is there.

But when I saw it starting to affect my son, when -- when she would talk down about my mother and about my sister -- two people who were very instrumental in raising my son with me, when these things started to go on. You know, I had uprooted everything that I had known to do everything I could for her. You know, I moved from Michigan, a small town. I bought a house in Malibu. I uprooted my son, who I had raised as a single father there for 14 years, put him in Malibu High School. All these things.

And when I saw it starting to affect him, that's when I stepped back and I was like, un-nnh. That's it. And that's the morning I filed for divorce.

KING: Do you bear her ill will?

KID ROCK: I don't bear anybody ill will. But I've -- but I've -- I think payback is a bitch. I think, you know, she threw me under the bus like as soon as the relationship went -- went south and put out all of these things -- she has this relationships with papers and has this media thing that's really -- I kind of feel sorry for her about it that like -- just, you know, embraces it. And it's just -- I had never been launched in that world.

Kid Rock's Advice To Rick Salomon
http://www.dlisted.com/

Pamela Anderson's last ex-husband, Kid Rock, was on Letterman last night where he had some late advice for Rick Salomon.

Kid Rock the charming gentleman said, "I wish somebody would have given me the advice I'm about to give Rick Salomon. Why buy the cow, when you get the milk for free?"

The audience sort of jeered at him and then he said, "I wish them much happiness."

Why drink the milk at all? That shit is rotten! It's like Feta! Kid's just sour, because not even Pamela Anderson's slutty ass wants him.

New Look, Please

KID Rock may have to change his style. At his album release party the other night at Nikki Beach club here, some 15 look-alikes were running around. Each one had the familiar hat, track pants and long hair that Rock sports so frequently. One of the impersonators yelled to Rock that he wanted to fight him, and was quickly tossed by two burly bouncers. The real Rock had a bevy of babes, including a pregnant Drea de Matteo, surrounding him all night.

Bitch Fight At Waffle House?! Priceless!!
http://www.dlisted.com/

Kid Pebble was arrested in Atlanta for allegedly getting into a fight at Waffle House at 5 this morning. Kid and his entourage went to eat there after performing a show. One of the male customers recognized a chick in Kid's entourage and the two had words. They took their fight outside where it became a brawl. Brawl in the parking lot of Waffle House?! These people are all sorts of elegant. Barbizon graduates I'm sure.

A little while later Kid's tour bus was pulled over and he was arrested with five members of his entourage. They were charged with simple battery. The male customer was also charged for smashing a window at the restaurant.

Kid made bond was released from the DeKalb County jail at 5pm.

There is no way I'd let anybody get in the way of my eats at Waffle House. That shit is delicious. Go ahead and beat my friend down in the parking lot, but let me eat my waffles and bacon in peace!

Kid Pebble is so high class that I can't even see him! He's that high!

Kid Rock Arrested After Georgia Fight
Kid Rock Arrested After Fight Outside Georgia Waffle House, Later Released, Police Say

The Associated Press ATLANTA Oct 22, 2007 (AP)

Share Kid Rock was arrested early Sunday after a brawl at a restaurant and spent about 12 hours in jail before being released, police said.

The musician stopped at the Waffle House restaurant shortly after 5 a.m. after his performance at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, authorities said.

"He and five members of his entourage were involved in a fight with a male customer inside the Waffle House," said Mekka Parish, a spokeswoman for the DeKalb County Police Department.

The customer recognized a female with Kid Rock's party and exchanged words with her, Parish said.

"It escalated to a physical altercation between Kid Rock and that male customer and moved outside to the parking lot," she said. At some point the customer punched out a restaurant window, she said.

Kid Rock left in his tour bus and was stopped by police about a mile from the restaurant, Parish said. The musician and five members of his entourage were taken into custody on a misdemeanor charge of simple battery.

The other customer was charged with criminal damage to property, a felony, Parish said. Kid Rock was released from the county jail on bond about 5 p.m.

A telephone message left with Kid Rock's publicist was not immediately returned.

The other customer was treated at a hospital for cuts and bruises. No one in Kid Rock's group was hospitalized, police said.

Kid Rock says he's not a troublemaker

NEW YORK - Kid Rock isn't one to back down from a fight, but says he doesn't go looking for trouble.

"Last thing I want is to have a reputation. I believe in standing up for things I believe in," the 36-year-old rock-rapper told Ellen DeGeneres on her syndicated talk show Thursday. "Being honest sometimes gets me in a little bit of trouble."

Kid Rock — who quarreled with Tommy Lee at MTV's Video Music Awards last month — was arrested early Sunday after a brawl at a Waffle House restaurant in Atlanta.

"It started with me celebrating a great show that night. We were hungry. It was late at night," he told DeGeneres.

"I know the people work hard at Waffle House so I tipped people behind the counter and gave $300 to split up. Bought everyone breakfast in there," he said. "We had a good time. This one kid just started talking. ... And then one thing led to another, windows were breaking, cussing and fussing ... the mud, the blood and the beer."

Kid Rock explained: "He said, `I hope you get mad, I'll sue the hell out of you.' I'm like, `Take a number.'"

Mekka Parish, a spokeswoman for the DeKalb County Police Department, said the fight between Kid Rock and a male customer moved outside to the parking lot, and at some point, the customer punched out a restaurant window.

Kid Rock and five members of his entourage were taken into custody on a misdemeanor charge of simple battery. He was released from the county jail on bond Sunday afternoon, Parish said.

No charges for Kid Rock in VMA brawl

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Recording artist Kid Rock no longer faces charges in connection with his Las Vegas brawl with rival Tommy Lee last month, Extra reported Monday.

Rock and Lee -- both of whom married and divorced actress Pamela Anderson -- scuffled at the MTV Video Music Awards show in September. Security escorted Lee out of the event, while La's Vegas police cited Rock for misdemeanor battery.

But a representative from the Clark County District Attorney's Office told "Extra" prosecutors won't pursue charges against Rock, noting Lee requested the matter be dropped.

Judge Dismisses Lawsuit Against Kid Rock

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A federal judge has dismissed a Louisiana musician's copyright infringement lawsuit against Kid Rock, ruling Troy Landry didn't prove that the rapper's "Somebody's Gotta Feel This" was a rip off of his own music.

"The works are not so strikingly or substantially similar as to preclude independent creation," U.S. District Judge Mary Ann Vial Lemmon wrote in her ruling this week. Lemmon cited expert testimony from both sides, plus her side-by-side review of the songs from which she concluded "a layman would not view the works as substantially similar."

An attorney for Landry didn't immediately return a call seeking comment Thursday.

Landry sued Atlantic Recording Corp., Kid Rock (whose real name is Robert Ritchie) and others in 2004, claiming an 8-second portion of Kid Rock's "Somebody's Gotta Feel This," featured in a beer commercial, was "strikingly or substantially similar" to songs Landry released on a 1994 record.

Landry, identified in court records as a musician with a New Orleans band, claimed the 8-second hook was repeated throughout the song and made up 45 percent of it.

But the defendants had no access to Landry's songs and the riff couldn't be protected under copyright laws because "it is common and in the public domain," defense lawyers argued.

Michael Novak, personal attorney for Kid Rock, said Thursday the 36-year-old rapper's song featured a "fairly common progression" and that defense attorneys had found "dozens of songs" with similar progressions. He likened suing over the riff to suing over the idea of a talent competition.

"Whenever you have a hit record, you can pretty much plan on attracting this kind of lawsuit," he said.

He said attorneys would seek costs from the plaintiffs, though he couldn't provide a figure.

Jessica Alba turned down Kid Rock

Jessica Alba spurned Kid Rock's romantic advances when they worked on a TV show together.

The actress was unimpressed when 36-year-old musician Kid Rock, real name Robert James Ritchie, tried his luck with her after the cameras stopped rolling.

"I spent a week in South America with Jessica for this TV show, an environmental show called Trippin," Rock explained.

"Jessica is such a sweetheart. But she's definitely not giving it up. I said to her, 'Do you know what, you are so f***ing hot, I'm not even going to f*** with you.' And she turned round and went, 'F*** you, Kid Rock.' "

Alba, 26, recently announced that she is engaged to her boyfriend Cash Warren.

Kid Rock Pleads Not Guilty in Atlanta Battery Case

Page Six

Kid Rock has pleaded not guilty to a battery charge stemming from an October brawl in an Atlanta Waffle House.

The 37-year-old singer, referred to by his given name of Robert James Ritchie in court, was not present at the hearing. His attorney, Darryl Cohen, waived an arraignment hearing and entered the not guilty plea on his client's behalf in DeKalb County State Court.

Kid Rock was arrested with five members of his posse on October 21, on a misdemeanor charge of simple battery. The group had dropped by a metro-area Waffle House after a performance at the Tabernacle, and a fight allegedly broke out after a customer recognized a member of Kid Rock's entourage and exchanged words with her, which reportedly led to the singer getting involved.

Kid Rock Returning to Georgia Waffle House for Benefit
By Brian Orloff

Talk about a special warm-up gig.

Kid Rock may be playing at Atlanta's Gwinnett Arena on March 11 – but before his performance, the rocker is returning to the Duluth, Ga., Waffle House where he was arrested for battery after a fight last October to greet fans and sign autographs for charity, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting.

While the rocker (real name Robert James Ritchie) has pleaded not guilty to the charges, organizers say that Kid Rock's fight is the farthest thing from their mind.

"For a while now, we've been working with Kid Rock's management to try and turn a negative into a positive," Pat Warner, a Waffle House rep, told the newspaper. "We're hoping to raise some money for a worthwhile charity." All proceeds from the event, which begins at 2 p.m., will benefit Nicholas House, a homeless shelter for families in DeKalb County.

Organizers expect a heavy fan turnout – and local radio stations have been promoting Kid Rock's appearance. One rock station has auctioned off passes to the Waffle House event, as well as tickets to the concert that night and a backstage meet-and-greet.

Kid Rock To Work with Run DMC Again
OK!

Kid Rock is about to "walk this way" back to Run DMC.

The Rock N Roll Jesus singer tells Fox's Good Day New York that he definitely has plans to collaborate with the famed hip-hop group again.

"We've been talking about it," he says.

Kid and Run DMC's musical relationship dates back to 1999 when they performed "Walk This Way" at the MTV Video Music Awards with Aerosmith. Since then, the two artists have gone on tour and even rang in 2008 together. Having been a lifelong fan, Kid says Run DMC has meant much more than a rap group for him.

"For me, Run DMC was really the blues music of my day and age," the 37-year-old says. "When I really got older...I started to analyze music and break it down -- my love for blues music for jazz, R&B, which basically and put its finger on everything on popular culture until hip-hop came along.

He continues, "When hip-hop came along, this has been the only other musical art form that we've seen that's touched everything in popular culture."
