Petra, though she survived the tsunami, didn't have the endurance to party with Willis till past 5 a.m. at the G2 Lounge. April 21, 2006 -- A NAME-dropping con artist who claimed to be the brother of actress Eva Mendes is being sought by police for allegedly bilking a bevy of trendy Manhattan nightspots out of tens of thousands of dollars worth of free meals and drinks.
Philippe Kayadjanian, the owner of 212 restaurant on East 65th Street, tells us he identified the mug shot of Bronx native Marcel Perez - who used the fictitious name, "Marco Mendes" - as the guy who scammed $10,000 worth of meals from him over a two-week period in March.
Kayadjanian claims Perez used a stolen credit card number to pay for his lavish meals, which were usually attended by a bevy of beautiful women he brought with him in a chauffeured limousine.
"He was a young, good-looking guy who was always with some good-looking girls," Kayadjanian tells Page Six. "He was spending a lot of money. He came here eight times. He even invited my manager to join him at Cain, Pink Elephant and other places. He was living large."
Kayadjanian added that Perez also stands accused of scamming a limousine company out of $4,000 for the use of his car and driver, the W Hotel for $25,000 and Whiskey Bar, $15,000.
"The cops are looking for him," he said. "We filed a police report at the 19th Precinct and I identified him through a mug shot. Apparently, he's been arrested a few times before. They're gonna catch this guy for sure."
Eva Mendes, the Cuban-American beauty who starred in "Hitch" and the upcoming "Ghost Rider," doesn't have a brother named Marco. Her publicist, Brad Cafarelli, said, "Eva Mendes has never met nor heard of this person, nor has she been aware of any of these alleged activities before this time."
An NYPD spokesman said he would not comment on "an ongoing investigation."

Berry introduced Mendes to trainer Harley Pasternak when Mendes complained about her fitness levels and her poor diet. The Latina says, "I was not educated about nutrition at all.
The last couple of years I have been educating myself, reading a lot, and I have a fantastic trainer, Harley Pasternak, who has written a couple of books that can teach you a lot." 14th Annual Revlon Run/Walk for Women in L.A.

Billed as one of the country's largest 5K fundraiser, the Revlon Run/Walk for Women took place over the Mother's Day Weekend in Los Angeles. Several celebrity supporters showed up to participate in the event created to raise funds for cancer research. Fran Drescher, Sheryl Crow, Eva Mendes, Jessica Alba and Michael Chiklis all lent their support to the cause. Seriously, though, my favorite is Shar Jackson, who seems pleasant enough. But I must admit that her "career" confuses me. What is it exactly that she does? And may I please get to do it as well? Because she seems to be doing aight, considering I'm only really familiar with her ability to bear Kevin Federline's children.
Also, Jessica Alba is frustrating me even further by participating. It's almost as if she's saying, "I'm beautiful AND I hate cancer. Top that." Dammit. For the life of me, I simply can't.

The model/actress revealed that she did everything she could to make director James Gray's change his mind about the "uncomfortable scene", but he was adamant that's how his movie should start.

Actress Eva Mendes avoided a charge of hit-and-run over the weekend after accidentally hitting a car as she attempted to park her own vehicle -- she left a note with her contact details on for the other driver.
Mendes was running errands in Los Angeles when the traffic offense occurred, and although no damage was caused, she decided to leave a message for the car's owner instead of risk legal action from her crash victim.

This actually surprises me. She was very nice when I worked on something with her and did not seem like a raging cokehead at all. She blew her lines a lot, but I don't think that was attributable to drugs -- I got the impression that she was a nice girl, but just not very bright.

I have lived in some shit places growing up and man an addict looks like straight up shit! There was this "lady" that was known to be a cracker - always loosing her kids JUSt sad stuff.. WHEN my mom told me that she wsa 28 I almost fainted and swore to never ever look like that at 28..
NOW I am 30 and thankfully don't but my point is WHY do the hollywood druggies look so very different from real life druggies.. Real life druggies you can spot from a block away.

I grew up in a small ghetto in NJ and that entitled me to knowing many druggies.... However, thanks to being raised right and working hard, I now live in a nice suburb in NJ BUT I have not lost my roots and so I KNOW what a crack head looks like - I WISH they looked like Ava.

TMZ is reporting that Eva Mendes is in rehab. Eva is currently at Lindsay Lohan's old joint, Cirque Lodge, in Utah. Eva is treating some substance abuse problem and has been there for several weeks.
Did Eva not get the memo? Rehab is out, the psych ward is in.
I didn't see this one coming. What's the substance? I'm guessing booze, but she sort of has a nose made for snorting. I'll stick with booze. She's a traditional lady.
When I first saw the name "Eva" I was praying it was Eva LongWHORIA. That would have made me leap through the streets singing "I Could Have Danced All Night."

Will over working and not getting any sleep be the new excuse to go to rehab or a psych ward? Last year the excuse was dehydration and calling people racial names . Maybe I should go to rehab....I have a hard time sleeping. Better yet, I like getting up in the morning to go to work...maybe I should go to rehab or a psych ward for that.

She actually doesn't look that amazing in person. She looked pretty much like a normal person. You would not even notice her on the street in New York. The guys were very disappointed.
A lot of what you see is makeup, wardrobe, and airbrushing.Also a lot of functioning addicts don't show. But some addicts, even celebrities, you can tell. If you watch old episodes of "Friends" it is really wild to see how Matthew Perry's looks and weight fluctuate. They couldn't hide how scary he looked for awhile.

Her entering rehab might also be evidence that she's smart enough to address the problem on her own, as opposed to some people who we all know need it who aren't in there. It might actually be a good sign that to a degree she actually has her stuff together.

Eva Mendes is out of rehab and back in Los Angeles, Life and Style can confirm.
The 33-year-old actress left Utah's Cirque Lodge rehab clinic on Feb 6 and boarded a flight to Los Angeles shortly after 9pm (pst) after spending a number of weeks in rehab.
At the time her spokesman said: "Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much needed time off to attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support."
