Can't Get Screw Out Of My Head

Remember Kylie's strange obsession with the turban? A necessity surely, to cover up the brave little warrior's gleaming scalp? Umm, maybe not. A hairdresser to the stars has revealed that the turban actually came in very handy for hiding the little bolts drilled into that brave little scalp, which cantilevered the pop princess's phizog upwards and into place after a facelift.

On a related matter, the promo video for 'Giving It Up' had to be cancelled after it became clear that the latest batch of facial surgery had gone slightly wrong, and the perfect pop pixie appeared to be recovering from a particularly nasty stroke.

It's rumoured that another member of pop royalty disguised her own face lift by claiming to have fallen off a horse and dislocated her shoulder while out for a trot around her country estate...

UK tabloid slams our Kylie
From correspondents in London

A BRITISH tabloid has taken a pop at Kylie Minogue after the singer was spotted in Chile with a married man.

Last weekend's Sunday Mirror had reported that Minogue was met at Santiago airport by film director Alexander Dahm, who lives in Mexico with his heavily pregnant wife and young son.

Minogue and Dahm reportedly met in Mexico earlier this year during a film shoot while Kylie was modelling swimwear for fashion chain H&M.

The week-day version of the paper, the Daily Mirror, published a front-page photo of the pair dining at a restaurant with the headline: “The pop princess and the married man .. what ARE you playing at Kylie?”

Inside, it ran an double-page spread with more pictures of the duo on a boat, in a car and again at the restaurant under the headline: “Dahm it .. he's married!”

Minogue, who has been single since splitting from long-term boyfriend Olivier Martinez in February, told her official website she was in South America working on an idea for a musical film.

“It's very exciting for all of the team involved,” she said.

“Just to whet your appetites as part of this new project I had the pleasure of learning to Tango from some of South America's best!”

The Daily Mail also covered the story but took a more sympathetic view with the headline: “Affair? No, it's all in the mind, says Kylie.”

The Mail quoted an unnamed friend saying: “Initially Kylie was telling us that they were just friends. But her tune has changed. She has been saying he is the most amazing guy she has known since (former boyfriend) Michael Hutchence, which is a very big thing for her to say.

“When we asked if there was anything going on like an affair, she said “Well, what do you mean by an affair?'

“Then she said something quite peculiar, she said “sometimes you can have a mental affair'.”

Dahm's wife, Laura, told the paper the pair were not having an affair.

“I feel for Kylie - it must be awful to be portrayed as the other woman. They are just friends,” she was quoted as saying.

In its Femail magazine section, the paper ran another full-page story quoting anonymous friends who said Kylie was throwing herself into work to take her mind off men following her painful break-up with Martinez.

Hell, if I beat cancer - I wouldn't give two if they were married. I almost died, bitch - surrender that D to me! I must embrace the newness of life and the joy of living! With your husband! Anyway, Kylie Minogue was recently accused of slapping the business on a married man. Which she denies .
Kylie Minogue has angrily denied having an affair with a married man -- calling the claims "offensive".

Rumours were rife after Kylie, 38, was snapped in Santiago, Chile, with film producer ALEXANDER DAHM, 39, whose wife is eight months pregnant. But she said last night: "I'd find it completely immoral to be involved with a married man."

Dahm branded the rumours "rubbish".

A spokesman for Kylie, who split with French actor Olivier Martinez in February, said Dahm was a friend -- adding: "She is on a short holiday."

A holiday with your husband! Seriously, as soon as those tests came back and she was tumor free - her boy was outta there. If I dodged the death bullet and then my man up and left me, all bets are off. A ring on his finger will only ignite my passion and joie de vivre! It's Friday, and Friday is Adultery is Ok Day.

'My husband would never leave me for Kylie', says director's pregnant wife

By ANI

London, May 13 (ANI):

The wife of the director who is reportedly romancing Kylie Minogue insists that her husband would never leave her for the singer.

Pictures of Kylie and film director Alexander Dahm enjoying a holiday in Chile have sparked rumours of a romance, but his wife - eight months pregnant with their second child - insists to the Daily Mail that she has nothing to worry about.

"Alexander would never leave me for Kylie. I trust my husband completely and there's no affair. I've never met or spoken to her but let's just say I'm pretty good-looking myself and I don't have any fears for my arriage," the paper quoted her, as saying.

"This isn't the first time he has worked with a pretty girl. He works with models all the time. If I worried every time he was with a beautiful woman I would go crazy. And of all of them, Kylie is not one I'd worry about," she said.

Laura Dahm also reveals that she feels sorry for Kylie, and her family.

"This can't be easy for Kylie. She's recently ended a relationship. I saw reports on TV and in the newspapers and that must be hard. And the cancer - that is so sad. I feel sorry for her family as well, it must be very difficult for them to see what she is going through," she said.

"Kylie's been through a lot and I feel sorry for her. But Alexander and I have a strong marriage and I know he loves me," she added.

She also reveals that her husband told her that he would be meeting the singer while in Chile.

"Before he left for Chile he told me he was meeting Kylie there. It's no surprise to me. It's very upsetting that people who don't understand are twisting this into something it's not," she said.

Laura Dahm also insisted to the News of the World that the unnecessary gossip was spoiling the last few weeks of her pregnancy.

"It has been a week of hell. I am supposed to be enjoying the last few weeks of my pregnancy, getting ready for ourbaby," she said. "Instead I am crying and constantly on the phone to my husband begging him to come home as he is being accused of sleeping with one of the world's biggest stars.

"He has begged me to believe him that there is nothing between him and Kylie and I have no choice but to believe him. It's a shame because it affects everyone, including me.

"What really bothers me is having to explain to my family, friends and at my son's school there is nothing happening," she said.

Kylie Minogue Denies Affair With Alexander Dahm
Filed under: Kylie Minogue

Can't a girl just go on a vacation with her married male friend (not the man pictured above) without causing a stir? Apparently not. Kylie - who has been staying at Dahm's apartment in Colchagua - insists that the two are just working on a new film project.
The 38-year-old singer vehemently denies she flew to Chile last week for a romantic liaison with South American director Alexander Dahm, 39, insisting the pair are just "good friends".

She said: "I have never been unfaithful to a partner and would find it completely immoral to be involved with a married man."

In a posting on her website, she wrote: "I'm working on an idea for a new musical film. It's very exciting for all the team involved. Just to whet your appetites, I had the pleasure of learning to tango from some of the South America's best."

Dahm - whose wife Laura, who is eight months pregnant with their second child, has remained at the couple's marital Mexico home - has also rubbished affair allegations.

He said: "I emphatically deny those rumours, they are total rubbish."

So there.

Kylie Minogue has reportedly hired a team of personal assistants to help her find a man.

Kylie, who has been single since splitting from her French actor fiance Olivier Martinez, is on the lookout for a "handsome and successful" man and is willing to pull out all the stops to find her "Mr. Right".

A rep for Kylie said: "She wants the guy to be handsome and he'll have to be very successful or she'll get bored. But much more importantly he has to be reliable. The implications when Kylie chooses a new boyfriend are massive and she's determined not to repeat the same mistakes again."

Wife kicks out Kylie's pal

THE pregnant wife of a Mexican film director linked to Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue has given her husband the boot from their home.

British newspaper The Sunday Mirror claims director Alexander Dahm, 39, has moved in with his mother since returning from a holiday in Chile with Minogue. Heavily pregnant Laura Dahm was furious at her husband's South American break with the singer, the paper said. It quoted a friend of the director saying his furious wife had read him the riot act.

"She went absolutely berserk," the anonymous friend said. "She is eight months pregnant and had been looking after their three-year-old son while he was gallivanting across Chile. "He decided it was best to stay at his mum's while she cooled down."

Alexander Dahm reportedly confided to another friend: "I'm staying at my mum's. Things aren't good at home."

Minogue has dismissed rumours she was having an affair with Dahm as "offensive".

Earlier this month, Laura Dahm publicly rejected suggestions that her husband was Minogue's latest love interest. "It's ridiculous to think there's some sort of affair going on. There isn't. They're only friends, and I'm not worried," she said.

Unlucky-in-love Minogue broke up with French love rat Olivier Martinez in February.

Well thank goodness Mrs Dahm has finally stopped covering for her husband's affair and given him the heav-ho. The article with her denial of the affair was kind of strange. It was half "absolutely nothing's going on" and half "I'm crying and calling him all day, begging him to come home."

What kind of low-life (other than Billy Crudup) leaves a woman who's 8 months pregnant? And for pop-slut Kylie Minogue, of all people? Hope the Mrs. takes him to the cleaners for this.

Kylie Minogue Celebrates Birthday With Sister Dannii

What better way to spend your birthday than that with your sister. She has a lot to celebrate this year, despite her breakup with Oliver Martinez. She's bounced back from cancer with great aplomb.
Both Kylie and Dannii were smiling broadly as they headed to the Rex Cinema in Soho together, with Kylie appearing to have moved on from the end of her four year relationship as she celebrated her 39th birthday.

Earlier in the day Kylie's flat in Chelsea was inundated with presents and cards from friends and fans.

Kylie Minogue back with Olivier Martinez
From Sydney Confidential, July 16, 2007 07:42am
Article from: The Daily Telegraph

HE MAY be a love rat, but Kylie Minogue has reportedly enjoyed secret meetings with her former lover Olivier Martinez in an attempt to rekindle their four-year affair.

The couple - who separated in February amid reports Martinez had cheated on her with an Israeli model - have had at least two romantic rendezvous in Paris in the past few weeks.

After one lunch meeting the breast cancer survivor, who was visiting the French capital for a routine hospital check-up, was seen kissing and embracing Martinez outside a cafe close to where the 41-year-old actor has a home.

Has Paris made her go in-Seine? Should she tell him to go and jump in it?

The couple have remained friends since their split and the French actor often allows the pop princess to stay in his flat in the fashionable St Germain district.

This was the first time they have been in the city together since their split.

They've talked to each other on the phone regularly and friends reportedly told the British press the couple have realised they are the love of each other's lives.

Since the split, Olivier has been linked to several women, including Spanish model Goya Toledo, while Minogue was recently linked with film director Alexander Dahm but denied a romance.

A spokesman for Minogue said they were not back together: "They do see each other."

Meanwhile, Minogue's so-called "mystery man" has made a fleeting visit to her home town.

Electropop producer Calvin Harris, 23, was in Melbourne on the weekend to talk up a new album and hose down an alleged affair after he was cast as the comforting arms Kylie ran to after she split with Martinez.

Ian Brown casts stones at Q Idol winner Kylie Minogue
http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/story...60-7484,00.html

AUSTRALIAN pop diva Kylie Minogue copped a bitter serve from ex-Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown at the Q Awards overnight.

Brown said Kylie's music was "rubbish" and "for little kids".

He told the BBC Radio Five Live: "I don't know what Kylie's doing at a music awards to be honest.
"I don't think she's cute. I don't think she's good-looking. Her music's rubbish - she makes music for little kids.

"I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm putting her down, but there's a lot of great minds out there making music and she's not one of them."

Sir Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue and Arctic Monkeys were the big winners at this year's Q Awards, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel overnight.

The Beatles legend received The Q Icon award, Kylie took The Q Idol accolade and Arctic Monkeys claimed the prestigious Best Act In The World Today prize at the glitzy ceremony at London's Grosvenor House Hotel.

Paul notably failed to mention his estranged wife Heather Mills in his lengthy acceptance speech, in which he thanked his former Beatles bandmates, John Lennon, Ringo Starr and George Harrison, and his late wife Linda McCartney.

He said: "I've been coming to these things for a long time and you sit there petrified, not knowing what to say, should you tell a couple of dirty jokes?

"I would like to thank George, John and Ringo, the boys. I would like to thank Linda for seeing me though some real tough periods, and my beautiful family, my kids, who are fantastic."

The 65-year-old singer was presented the award by a visibly drunk Damon Albarn, who earlier bemused the star-studded audience with a rambling speech when he collected The Q Inspiration Award.

Other winners included Amy Winehouse who won Best Album for her LP Back To Black, The Enemy who were voted Best New Act and Kate Nash who collected the Breakthrough Artist award.
Muse took home Best Live Act, while Manic Street Preachers won Best Track for Your Love Alone Is Not Enough and Kaiser Chiefs claimed Best Video for Ruby.

All the Best categories, plus Breakthrough Artist, were voted for by readers of Q and Q4Music.com, with Best Video also voted for by Q TV viewers, while the remaining 11 winners were chosen by the music magazine.

Host Jonathan Ross - who has presented the awards for a number of years - continued his tradition of rock-star baiting by attacking a host of stars including Robbie Williams and Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding.

When introducing the winner of The Q Hero award, which went to the late record label boss Tony Wilson, he said: "I thought this was going to be given to someone with a superhero power, like Robbie Williams being invisible in America, but no!"

He then laid into Sarah as he was naming singer Ian Brown as the winner of The Q Legend, saying: "Last year's winners were Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey of The Who. It was great to see the pair back together again, like Sarah Harding's legs."

Minogue has revealed her dreams of having children, but is not sure she'll ever get married.

The Australian singer has said that she would still "love" to have a family, but that she has no strong feelings about marriage. However, the pop star admitted that preparing for a show often felt like getting ready for a wedding.

"There have been times when we were getting ready for a big event, like the opening of my exhibition at the V&A, and there's a last minute hoo-ha and we're all running around like headless chickens and I've said, 'Imagine if we were getting ready for my wedding!'," she told Glamour magazine.

"We'll see. I honestly don't have a feeling one way or the other if I will walk down the aisle."

The 40-year-old added that the idea of a family was something she still wished for, but that it had "become very complicated".

"Contrary to reports in the papers, though, I am not having all these weird treatments," she said.

I'm not a Kylie fan by any means, but do empathize with her or any unmarried woman past 35 because society seems to judge them (us) on whether or not they're (we're) married, speculate about whether their (our) eggs are still "good," etc. Not to suggest that the world is conspiring against us, but I certainly know that there is pressure to conform and to explain ourselves and defend our choices.

Men do get it a certain amount, too - all the "why isn't George Clooney married?" etc.

Kylie Minogue Plans To Adopt An Aborigine Orphan

Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue plans to adopt an Aborigine child, according to reports. The 39-year-old star, who is in remission from breast cancer, is desperate to become a mom and feels adoption may be her only chance.

Minogue separated from long-term love actor Olivier Martinez in February 2007 and there has been much speculation that their relationship ended because she wanted to start a family.

A friend of Minogue tells British newspaper The News Of The World, "Having cancer really got her thinking about her chances of having a child. She feels now might be the right time to go ahead.

"She's got a lot of love to give."

Kylie's duet with Beatles legend

FROM one legend to another: Kylie Minogue has joined Sir Paul McCartney for a duet.
The Aussie pop star and the former Beatle recorded a rendition of Dance Tonight, taken from McCartney's recent solo album, Memory Almost Full.

The performance, to be televised in Britain on New Year's Eve, also features Minogue sexily sprawled over a piano, singing a slow version of her hit, I Should Be So Lucky.

A source said that, after Minogue's show-stopping gig, she sat at McCartney's table and watched the rest of the TV show being filmed.

"Macca paid Kylie his full attention and they nattered away like old pals," the source said.

It was a busy lead-in to Christmas for Minogue, who blitzed the European media this past month promoting her hit new album, X.

Besides appearing front and centre at a recent Chanel fashion show, Minogue has jetted all over Europe. She bonded with Hollywood star Renee Zellweger on a German chat show and performed on sister Dannii's UK show, The X Factor.

She also put in a sizzling performance at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert.

Despite turning 40 next May, Minogue is as energetic as ever and has sported an edgy platinum blonde bob to add to the sexy look she has adopted since recovering from breast cancer.

She will embark on a world tour in 2008 but is yet to announce dates for Australia.

She also continues to collaborate with some of music's biggest names.

Most recently she wrote a song for hot British electro group Hot Chip.

"It's a crazy song," said Hot Chip's Joe Goddard.

"It's industrial and clanging and even has farmyard animal noises on it.

"It's the kind of music you'd never normally associate with Kylie.

Minogue honoured by the Queen

LONDON (Reuters) - Kylie Minogue, the Australian singer and actress who has battled breast cancer, was honoured by the Queen on Saturday, with other awards given to sportsmen, entertainers and businessmen.

Minogue, a former soap star who became one of the world's most famous recording artists, becomes an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the traditional New Year's honours list.

Minogue, famous for hits from "I Should Be So Lucky" to "Can't Get You Out Of My Head", was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005 and went through surgery and chemotherapy before returning to the stage late last year.

She has sold some 40 million albums around the world, and 12 million viewers tuned this week in to see her star in a special Christmas episode of television series "Doctor Who".

Sir Ian McKellen, a top Shakespearean actor who gained worldwide fame with film roles such as the wizard Gandalf in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, was made a Companion of Honour under Britain's ancient and complex system of honorary titles.

The government said he was being recognised for his "outstanding achievements as an actor and also for his work in championing the causes of diversity".

The actor, a founder member of gay rights group Stonewall, stepped into a debate in Singapore about decriminalising homosexual acts when he visited the city state in July.

Other honours for media personalities included a knighthood for veteran television interviewer Michael Parkinson and lesser awards for sports commentator Desmond Lynam and Ian Anderson, who fronts rock band Jethro Tull.

Actors Leslie Phillips, known for playing the quintessential Englishman during a more than 50-year-long movie career, and Julie Walters, who has appeared in the "Harry Potter" films and "Educating Rita", were both granted awards.

In sport there was recognition for Brian Ashton, who coached the England rugby union team unexpectedly to the final of this year's World Cup, and the team's fullback Jason Robinson.

Others honoured included world snooker champion John Higgins and former European 5,000 metres champion Brendan Foster.

In the business world, there was a knighthood for Stuart Rose, chief executive of Marks & Spencer, who has turned around the fortunes of the well-known British retailer.

In science, Ian Wilmut, a member of the team that cloned Dolly the sheep in 1997, was also rewarded with a knighthood.

It was the first honours list recommended to the Queen by Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who took over from Tony Blair in June. Brown in turn acts on the recommendations of committees.

Most of the 972 people on the New Year's list are honoured for voluntary work or for their contributions to health, education or local services.
Bette Davis
KYLIE MINOGUE has a very special reason to celebrate the New Year - she has learned she'll pick up an Order of the British Empire (OBE) medal after landing a place on British monarch QUEEN ELIZABETH II's New Year Honours List. The cancer survivor, 39, has been a beloved Australian export in her adopted Britain for more than 20 years, and has sold more than 60 million records worldwide. Also named on the Queen's coveted list is British chat show king Michael Parkinson, who will be knighted in 2008, and Lord of The Rings star Sir Ian MCKellen, who becomes a Companion of Honour. Actress Julie Walters and beloved comedy actor Leslie Phillips will also be honoured by The Queen. Both get Commanders of the British Empire (CBE) medals. And James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli is to receive an OBE. Minogue isn't the only music star on the Honours List; JethroTull singer/flautist Ian Anderson becomes a Member of The Order of The British Empire (MBE), and Soul II Soul hitmaker Jazzie B, aka Trevor Romeo, is awarded an OBE.

Kylie's sexy duet upsets Heather McCartney

Furious ... Heather Mills is not happy with Kylie Minogue

POP Princess Kylie Minogue reduced Paul McCartney's estranged wife Heather Mills to tears after she sang a sexy duet with the former Beatles star on a New Year's Eve television special.

Friends of Mills say she was furious when she saw Minogue "flirting" with her husband and lying on top of a grand piano while singing his solo song, Dance Tonight, alongside Sir Paul.

"She's really mad about the way Paul got close to Kylie," one friend told The Sunday Mirror.

"She reckons he did it on purpose and feels it was a deliberate public dig at her.

"She thinks he's just trying to prove a point, that he's moved on and is comfortable around other women. She was so hurt she burst into tears."

Sir Paul and Kylie were special guests on the BBC2 program, Jool's Holland annual Hootenanny.

Watch the video of the performance:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0ME-6vh-4g

At the end of their duet, Sir Paul gave Minogue a big hug, lifting her off the ground as they embraced.

"Heather was seething, seeing his flirting as an attempt to humiliate her," Mills' unnamed friend told the newspaper.

"She thinks he's kidding himself if he thinks he'd stand a chance with Kylie anyway."

But friends of Sir Paul say he is genuinely fond of the Australian pop songstress and admires her recent fight against breast cancer.

The friends say Minogue reminds him of his former wife Linda, who died nearly 10 years ago after her own battle with cancer.

"Paul really admires Kylie," one told the newspaper.

"He has an affinity with her.

"The way she coped with cancer with dignity reminds him of Linda. She's the complete opposite to Heather."

McCartney split from Mills about 18 months ago.

The pair have been locked in a bitter divorce battle, which lawyers will try to resolve in Britain's High Court next month.

Kylie Minogue Back with Martinez?

Kylie Minogue has taken the French boyfriend who broke her heart back after he promised to marry her, according to new reports. The Aussie pop superstar has been spotted hanging out with actor Olivier Martinez in recent months, but has constantly dismissed rumors she's back in her ex-lover's arms.

But, after the former couple was spotted taking a romantic late-night stroll together in Paris at the end of last week, media sources have gone into overdrive suggesting Minogue and Martinez are an item once again. (View photos.)

A photo taken of the pair, which appeared in the British tabloids over the weekend, shows Minogue leaning playfully against the actor as he reportedly walked her back to her hotel. Britain's Daily Mail reports the couple has reunited after Martinez spent months chasing a reconciliation, promising to settle down with the pop singer.

Martinez's father Robert refuses to confirm or deny romance reports, but tells the Sydney Daily Telegraph, "We all love seeing Kylie in Paris, especially Olivier. She makes everybody very happy."

Minogue and Martinez dated for four years and he helped her through a cancer battle. They split at the beginning of 2007 after the actor was photographed kissing Spanish actress Penelope Cruz, and reported to be dating model Sarai Givati.

Minogue Denies Martinez Relationship
Pop star Kylie Minogue has refuted reports she has rekindled her relationship with ex-boyfriend Olivier Martinez.

The couple split in 2007 after Martinez was photographed kissing Spanish actress Penelope Cruz, but the pair was rumored to be back together after they were spotting taking a romantic late-night stroll together in Paris at the end of last week.

But Minogue is adamant the meeting was innocent, and she is not dating her former flame once more.

She says, "I had dinner with my ex-boyfriend and next thing I know there's a debate about whether we're having a family.

"We didn't even talk about that. As I've maintained, we're friends.

And the diminutive singer insists she's content to have a different kind of bedfellow at present -- her pet dog.

She adds, "My gorgeous Sheba is the only one sleeping in my bed. I let her stay on my bed all night. In fact, she slept with me for two nights in the hotel in Paris last week."

Australian fans? Girl, try her fans around the world. Well, she's definitely entitled to her opinion. Kylie's not for everyone.

Kylie Minogue's US Mission

Kylie Minogue has launched one final attempt to crack the US.

The 'Wow' singer - who has only had two top 10 Stateside hits, 'The Locomotion' in 1988 and 2002's 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' - is set to appear on several hit US TV shows to promote her new album 'X'.
A source said: "It eats away at Kylie that she has never been big there. She has tried before and it didn't happen. But being the kind of determined person she is, she's giving it one more go."

Yesterday (31.03.08), Kylie was interviewed on 'The Today Show' and won over the audience by opening her heart about her breast cancer battle.

She said: "I am feeling great. It is something that is always with me and on my mind, but you get up and carry on. My diagnosis was almost a blessing in disguise because it came midway through my tour. It was an incredible goal to have to get back on stage."

Kylie also spoke about her desire for success in the US, saying: "It's a notoriously difficult market. To know where I fit within that market is very difficult."

The 39-year-old star is also booked to appear on 'The Late Late Show', 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' and 'Dancing with the Stars'.

Minogue Slams Martinez Reunion Rumors

Kylie Minogue has blasted rumors she has reunited with ex-boyfriend Olivier Martinez, insisting they are definitely not a couple.

The singer split from Martinez in 2007 after a four-year romance, but there was speculation the two had rekindled their love after being spotted together in February.

Just this weekend, it was even claimed that Minogue was planning to announce her engagement to Martinez onstage at a concert in the Czech Republic in May.

But Minogue insists the reports are totally false.

On Monday, after telling Matt Lauer of "The Today Show" that she had dated Martinez, Lauer asked, "Dated -- past tense?"

Minogue replied, "Yes."

Lauer then asked, "So there's no rekindling and no engagement in the future that I need to know about?"

Minogue replied, "No."

After splitting with Minogue, French actor Martinez went on to date Spanish actress Goya Toledo.

Moss tops Glamour fashion list, Minogue tumbles

LONDON (Reuters) - British supermodel Kate Moss has regained her crown at the top of Glamour magazine's annual best-dressed women list, replacing 2007 winner Kylie Minogue who slumped to 19th this year.

Moss, 34, dominated the list before the Australian pop star overtook her, but Minogue's fashion choices during the past 12 months have been too "outlandish" for many voters' tastes, a spokesman for the magazine said.

Behind Moss was British actress Sienna Miller in second place, followed by U.S. actresses Scarlett Johansson, Rachel Bilson and Jennifer Aniston in third, fourth and fifth places respectively.

"Kate's back with a vengeance," said Jo Elvin, editor of Glamour, of the poll decided by Glamour readers. "Her maverick approach to fashion is an inspiration and shows us all how to be a little more daring and experimental."

Minogue's slide was partly blamed on her appearance on television talent show the X Factor wearing a figure-hugging lace catsuit that divided viewers and fashion watchers.

Topping the worst-dressed list in Glamour this year was U.S. singer Britney Spears. Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham was voted ninth worst-dressed of 2008, but also came 10th in the best-dressed list.

Kylie Minogue: 'Doctor Misdiagnosed My Cancer'
People
By Caris Davis

A doctor mistakenly gave Kylie Minogue the all clear when she had actually had breast cancer, the Australian singer told Ellen DeGeneres yesterday.

A nervous-looking Minogue told DeGeneres that she had never publicly discussed the misdiagnosis before, but was inspired to speak out after an earlier guest on the show, U.S. presidential hopeful Senator Hillary Clinton, emphasized how vital early breast cancer detection is.

"Listen, this is an opportunity for me to say something that I have not said before," said Minogue when DeGeneres asked her about her own battle with the illness two years ago. "I was misdiagnosed initially. So my message to all of you and everyone at home is, because someone is in a white coat and using big medical instruments doesn't necessarily mean they are right."

Though Minogue did not reveal the date of the error, where it took place or how long she went before she got a second opinion correctly diagnosing her illness, she said it happened before her 2005 Showgirl concert tour.

"If you have any doubt, go back again," urged Minogue, who is currently in remission.

DeGeneres also told the audience she had a mammogram and was given the all clear, but then "a couple of weeks later" she found a lump in her breast and had it removed.

"I had no intention of [talking about the misdiagnosis] today," said Minogue to DeGeneres. "But with what you were talking about before, I didn't realize it was a subject so close to your heart as well."

Kylie Minogue album a flop in United States

Despite an unusually aggressive promotion schedule, Kylie Minogue has bombed in the United States with her first album in four years.

"X," the Australian pop singer's fourth U.S. release and 10th overall, debuted at No. 139 on the Billboard 200 with sales of just 6,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Her previous album, "Body Language," debuted at No. 42 with 43,000 copies in 2004. Two years earlier, "Fever" bowed at No. 3 after selling 114,700 copies.

Minogue, 39, was sidelined for two years after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005. She was in the United States the week of the album's April 1 release, doing TV interviews on NBC's "Today," CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and the syndicated "Ellen DeGeneres Show." She also sang on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars," which was seen by more than 17 million people.

"X" was released internationally last November, debuting at No. 2 in Britain and No. 1 in Australia, her third chart-topper Down Under. She begins a European tour in France on May 6; no U.S. dates have been announced.

Minogue's international fame is not exactly replicated in the United States, where such albums as 2000's "Light Years" and 1990's "Enjoy Yourself" were not even released. Her only other Billboard 200 appearance was with her 1988 debut, "Kylie," which peaked at No. 53.

Still, the relative U.S. anonymity has its benefits.

"It's a slightly weird situation for me because I can still walk the streets here (in Los Angeles) and no one will recognize me. I love it," Minogue told Reuters in January.

A spokesman for Capitol Records, which released "X" in partnership with dance label Astralwerks, said a lot of Minogue's core fans in the United States bought imported copies of the album last year. The campaign for the album is still in its early stages, he added, with the first single, "All I See," going out to radio stations next week. Both Capitol and Astralwerks are units of Britain's EMI Group.

Kylie Minogue's Country Mansion

Kylie Minogue is set to buy a £3 million country mansion.

The pop princess viewed the riverside Tudor property in the idyllic British county of Sussex last week and is close to putting in an offer in a bid to cheer herself up after failing to crack the US.

A source said: "Kylie was really upset when her album 'X' failed to break into the Billboard 200 chart.

"When she got back to the UK she decided it was the right time to treat herself. She has been thinking about buying a home in the English countryside for a while and thought that would be the thing to put a smile on her face."

Kylie settled on Sussex after her close friend Robbie Williams, who already has a house in the county, recommended the area to her.

The diminutive star wants a place she can call home before she turns 40 next month and has her heart set on the 15th century mansion, which boasts its own chapel.

Last year, Kylie - who has battled and overcome breast cancer - revealed she wanted a country retreat to escape to.

She said: "I've started to look for a property in the country. I do have this need to reclaim myself a little bit, to do things to make me feel whole, which is why I'm doing all these things such as horseback riding and taking walks in the country and looking for a place outside London to chill."

Kylie Minogue's Busy Love Life
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kylie Minogue has several boyfriends.

The 40-year-old singer has been romantically linked with Spanish model Andres Velencoso since October but friends insist their relationship is not serious and she is still dating other people.

Author Kathy Lette - a close pal of the singer - said: "Andres is gorgeous but I don't know if he's the main one. I think she's got a few on the menu.

"Kylie is just having some time off to have fun at the moment. She works too hard so she deserves it."

Despite Kathy's comments, Kylie - who spent New Year with Andres, 30, on a skiing break in the French Alps - reportedly travelled to her toyboy's hometown of Tossa de Mar to meet his father and sister.

A source said: "Andres took her to meet his family, and they all got to know each other over dinner at his father's restaurant.

"It was a very romantic break - they were able to go for long walks along the beach together and Andres showed her many places from his childhood.

"This is his first serious relationship, and his family appreciate how much effort he is making with Kylie and were very welcoming."

Anonymous American Kylie Minogue

Kylie Minogue loves living in America because no-one recognises her.

The singer - who has had a globally successful career spanning over 20 years - claims she can walk around incognito in the US and not get hassled by fans.

The 41-year-old Australian superstar - who finishes her American tour in New York today (13.10.09) - said: "I can keep a much lower profile, which is enjoyable. And then if someone's looking at me, I'm like, 'Why are they staring at me? What's wrong? Have I got something on my face?' "

The 'Wow' singer also revealed she sees doubles of herself at her concerts because her fans dress up like her.

She told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "I've had lots of people dressed as versions of me. I've had flight attendants, robots, showgirls, all of them - from three year olds up."

Kylie is now planning to spend more time in America after being offered a Las Vegas residency.

Her sister, Dannii, recently revealed: "The response from her shows in America have been phenomenal. They love her out there.

"She has now been asked to take the show back to Vegas and extend it as a residency over there. I'm so proud of her."

Minogue: 'I'm Not As Ambitious As Kylie'

WENN.com

Dannii Minogue is baffled she's achieved so much in her career - because she has never been as ambitious as her sister Kylie.

The 38-year-old shot to fame in her native Australia on a string of TV shows in the 1980s, before moving into music in the 1990s and 2000s.

In 2007, she returned to the small screen with a judging role on "Australia's Got Talent" and later that same year joined Simon Cowell on the panel of British singing series "The X Factor."

Minogue admits she's stunned people still know who she is after almost 30 years in the spotlight - and credits her judging role on the shows with turning her life around.

She tells Australia's Harper's Bazaar magazine, "These two shows have changed everything in my world. From the offer coming to me from AGT and then X Factor, everything went really fast, things became easier, more fluid. People started to see me in my own light.

"Kylie's been ambitious - maybe she's always known the direction she wanted to go in and known what steps to take to get there. I'm not ambitious in that way."

Kylie Minogue: ‘I’m Not Getting Married’

KYLIE Minogue
has shot down claims she’s set to get wed.

“I don’t know where people get that information, but no, I’m not getting married,” she said.

Kylie, 41, recently revealed she likes wearing kinky outfits.

“I’m not going to lie, I have a few racy outfits at home, although the nipple tassels are a step too far for me,” she said.

“I like all the rest though. I love all the drama surrounding burl#$*!esque outfits.

“They’re really sexy and feminine and a lot of fun.”
