My heart goes out to Brandy. This could happen to any of us. I heard that the woman's car was STOPPED on the freeway, which makes it nearly impossible to stop going the legal speed limit, and extremely dangerous if you swerve (I've had to do the latter, and it's very frightening). This is just really sad.

Trump is acting like a beligerant child, but he has a point: Rosie routinely trashes people, and rather nastily. Maybe it's part of her shtick, but it is what it is.

You know, I was at the movie's this weekend, and saw the trailer, and he looked damn good! there was one cheesy line, though, that had me worried. Something like "whatever is left of me, whatever I am after this, I'm yours." It was quite sincere..... I always thought Bond was WAY more of a player.

I had no idea who this person was, and we just got back from seeing Borat. I walked out, and I still feel sick to my stomach. I'm horrified this is so popular. Blast me if you want, but if it's hip to think this movie is cool, then I'm a perennial dork. I'd rather go see MI:III.

I'm reading and highly recommend "The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls. I worked with Jeannette 20 years ago at New York Magazine, she was young and up-and-coming. I was young and a total nightmare, a fish-out-of-water, a disaster. Everyone there hated me, and I deserved it. But Jeannette was kind to me; she saw my frustration at my constant failures and shared her own stories of disappointment in starting out. I still remember her kindness fondly; I was very happy when I began to see her appearing on E! and moving on to MSNBC (although I never would have seen her in gossip at that time, as she was on the Wall Street beat).Her story is AMAZING. She is forgiving, insightful, accepting.... in short, pretty remarkable. And a great writer. By the way, am I the ONLY one who hated "The Lovely Bones"?

While I find her whining about her rough childhood and her insecurities a bit annoying, I can't help but root for her with this one. They do look sweet together, no?

I didn't know she was married when she met Matt either. Kind of takes the bloom off the "aww, how nice he married a civilian" rose. Reminds me of the Jerry Seinfeld situation. That was disgusting too. As for Ted's column... I thought it was weird too, but I took it literally: that the industry types and the chronic alcoholics in Miami can't understand that not everyone wants to party every night. Or even at all. Whew. Glad I'm not famous. Sounds like an exhausting lifestyle to me.

I'm sorry, but I've always thought of Jared as what we used to call a "trinket" in high school: cute, but useless. And anyone his age that would even breathe the same air as La Lohan is freakin' sick. He's not just a trinket, he's a walmart trinket.
