  1. Hunger Pangs

NO wonder Katie Holmes had to take a break from her new best friend, Victoria Beckham - she was starving. The super-skinny soccer wife had been helping Holmes lose her baby weight, but it seems Beckham's dietary rules were too much. A spy said, "Victoria maintains her tiny frame because she only permits herself to snack - not eat - on edamame, pretzels and occasionally sushi." Beckham also is a Diet Coke fanatic and told pals she hasn't drunk water in years because she "hates the taste."

No wonder she's so skinny! Her insides have packed up and moved away!

  2. First of all, I can't even believe I'm commenting on this, BUT, if she peed herself, wouldn't there be pee on the floor? The fly area of her shorts wouldn't be wet if she peed unless she was hanging upside down like a bat. She's wearing a white t-shirt so sweat stains might not show in photos. Oh, and the Rolling Stone cover has some weird photo retouching - her right lower abs look like a wrinkled t-shirt that's been tucked into her bikini bottoms. Ok... that's enough Fergie to last me awhile now.

  3. Beautiful pictures in Vanity Fair (which has turned a bit into a celeb arse-kissing read lately), but geesh, her mug is all over that rag! Ads on every other page, the main layout... Kate might not have OD'd on coke, but I'm OD'd on her. Time out, please.

  4. Good for him for being sober and best wishes for many years of clean living. :) Bad to her for opening her smiley, beach splashing, magazine-cover-faced mouth on it. <_<But the burning issue is.... was Chad Lowe the answer to any past BIs???

  5. Every time someone tells me that they are "for animal rights" I look to see if they are wearing any leather. And, almost always, they are (shoes and purses are a dead giveaway). I guess cows don't count, huh?

So, you're saying when I bump into you on the streeet and begin talking about animal rights I should leave my baby seal fur coat and mink ear muffs at home??? :D Once I was in traffic behind a car plastered with a bunch of Earth First! bumper stickers (they're a rather radical group that do PETA-equivalent stunts to stop logging, etc. ) and saw the driver toss out a cigarette butt on the street. Some animal rights people are hypocritical like that too and it seems like they're less about animal rights and more about power-tripping and putting other people down.

  6. Often, PETA's actions don't leave public opinion swaying in PETA's favor. But for some people, the treatment of animals is a "real" issue for them and I don't judge them on that. There are enough people and enough problems in the world that everyone can be passionate about something - poverty, better education, peace, great designer clothing at bargain prices... ok, maybe not so much on that last one, but you get the idea. :)

  7. Kate Moss Loves Charity - Kate Moss shared a lesbian kiss with British socialite Jemima Khan for a charity donation of $108,000. She was supposed to kiss business tycoon Philip Green after he made the winning bid at a charity auction for the Hoping Foundation For Palestinian Refugee Children, but Green declined to accept the one-minute kiss in front of his wife and handed it over to the person he outbid - Hugh Grant's girlfriend Khan.

Do the math Jemima: Kate Moss' lips + Pete Doherty's penis + Sadie Frost's nethers = (charity or no charity) $108K that would be better spent on antibiotics!!!!!!!

  8. ITA Bittermuch? - Vanity Fair's covers are like that more and more. The Terry Hatcher cover is really similar to the one that Jennifer Anniston was on. Graydon Carter thinks he sells more mags that way.I hate to admit it, but I can totally relate to Terry's feelings about thinking a relationship is one way, and getting dumped on by a guy who knew it was another way all along. Terry was fun to snark on, but I'm imposing a snark moratorium (just on myself) 'cause now I feel a tad guilty. Only a tad, though. Should wear off in a few days...

  9. I live on the West Coast by Terry's childhood home in Sunnyvale, CA and here is an excerpt from a columnist in the local (San Jose Mercury) paper. It's more of a snark on Vanity Fair than Terry, but I totally agree with the writer about the sexy/vulnerable cover:

Posted on Thu, Mar. 09, 2006Herhold: Hatcher's tale helps victims confront abuseBy Scott HerholdMercury NewsOn the first page of the Vanity Fair article about Sunnyvale native Teri Hatcher is a picture of the actress wearing an unbuttoned shirt and white panties, staring at the camera with a wounded look.``In an exclusive interview, the breakout star of `Desperate Housewives' reveals the abuse she says she's hidden all her life,'' the blurb on a facing page says.A mixed message? No question. Sadly, little sells a celebrity magazine better than a mix of sex and victimization. Female readers say, ``How sad.'' Male readers say, ``Yeah, but what a looker.''Yet beneath the celebrity glitz, there's something hauntingly painful and honest about Teri Hatcher. And the sad story she tells makes it all the more believable. Four years ago, when she didn't have to, she talked about her abuse at the hands of her uncle a generation ago. There was no potential lawsuit payoff, no career boost. She just did the right thing. You might find it strange -- maybe even ironic -- to get a lesson in courage from a star on a show with the trashy themes of ``Desperate Housewives.'' But that's just what we've had: What Hatcher did remains rare in the sad world of sexual molestation
