  1. I'm actually a gemologist and it appears that Brad has a marquise diamond mounted on each end of the center emerald cut diamond. I actually like the ring because it looks classic and elegant, not all blinged out and blinding. The only downside was setting it in yellow gold. It makes the diamonds look yellow.

Could it be set in rose gold? And I'm loathe to say it, but I rather like the ring too.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Are Engaged

    By Mary Green

    Friday April 13, 2012 03:45 PM EDT

    people.com

Break out the champagne – Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are engaged – officially!

"Yes, it's confirmed," Pitt's manager Cynthia Pett-Dante tells PEOPLE. "It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time."

Jeweler Robert Procop designed Jolie's engagement ring in collaboration with Pitt.

Jolie, 36, and Pitt, 48, have been together since 2005, and rumors that they planned to marry have circulated for years.

The chatter intensified earlier this year when Pitt told CBS News that they were "getting a lot of pressure from the kids."

The couple have six children together: Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5 and twins Knox and Viv, 3.

Oh yeah, there just happened to be someone with a flash camera in the museum to take that oh-so-candid photo. They are so sly about feeding the paps info on where they'll be for those family photo-ops.

  3. Tyler - I hope she was joking. The writers are the same guys that write Community, so of course they would make fun, it's part of who they are.

However, she doesn't seem to be a funny person, or even have a sense of humor. If Brad had done it, I would thought it was suppose to be a joke.

My girls and I were grading the dresses as they were coming down the carpet and we all agreed about Sandra. Until she turned around and then I hated that the top of her dress looked like that in front. I loved everything but the front top. And that is unfortunate.

If she hadn't posed on the red carpet with her leg out (and truthfully, the pose wasn't that bad, it was her self-aware ego that went along with it that I found more of a turnoff), then yeah, I might have thought her present schtick was tongue in cheek, but you're right, she just doesn't seem to have that sense of humor to pull it off.

Wow, i had a totally different read on what she was doing. I thought she was being sarcastic in the extreme by making fun of all the possers on the read carpet and all the cutsey starlets posing at award events. I mean, really, she was so fucking obvious in her posing both on the dias and red carpet. I don't know if I have ever seen her do that before.

The writer who attempted to make fun of her did not do himself any favors in my book. In attempting to make fun of her he showed himself to be pretty classless in his (most likely) one moment of fame.

As for Angelina -- she has weathered worse - if all this backlash is any indication, she is probably sitting back having a great "fuck you if you can't take a joke!" moment.

Tyler, I disagree about the screenwriter, Jim Rash. He was hilarious. I'd rather go to an after party with him than Angelina. No one there had to guess if he was joking or not - it was obvious and I didn't think it was disrespectful. It was just spontaneous and in good fun. And if she's pissed about it, then she should apply the "fuck you if you can't take a joke!" mantra. :1smile:

  4. GERARD BUTLER

    In Rehab [update]

12:04 PM PST -- Gerard's manager, Alan Siegel tells TMZ, "Gerard left Betty Ford early this morning and he's healthy."

    ----------------------------------------------------------

Gerard Butler is being treated for substance abuse at the Betty Ford Center ... TMZ has learned.

Butler's problems were triggered by the physical demands of shooting "300" in 2006 (see video below of Gerard preparing for the role). We're told the actor began struggling with pain management, and the problem became exacerbated while filming "Of Men and Mavericks," when Butler was badly hurt on December 18 during a surfing accident.

We're told Butler realized he was relying too much on prescription drugs and decided to head off a full-blown addiction by entering Betty Ford three weeks ago.

Sources tell TMZ ... Butler also developed issues with cocaine, but the root problem appears to be the injuries and pain management.

We're told Butler will be leaving Betty Ford later today.

He was filming that movie where I live. Lots of local surfers were extras in it. The surfing incident was at a big wave area called "Mavericks" and is definitely not for beginners. By all accounts from the local surfers there and the newspapers, he was held under for two waves but not seriously injured. He was taken to Stanford Medical Center and he was released that day. Still, he was in the water every day for his role, and by all accounts (his), enjoyed the new experience. He was in good shape and very friendly with everyone. Glad he's getting treatment for his problem, no matter what triggered it.

  5. Yup, go the PMs - thanks!! I had the warning on Foxfire too last nite. Did all the hoop-jumping Google asked of me and then requested they re-checked us last nite. This morning I'm not getting any notices from google or foxfire, and when I check my request to google they say we passed the re-check. Anyone getting from Safari still?? Looking at the Safari notice above post by Serendipity, looks like Safari using google service too so google still needs to notify Safari...??

FYI, I check this site regularly using three different computers. I've ran scan on all three computers and no maleware found. Pretty sure the cached posts I already deleted are what set all the warnings off, but anyone finds anything different let me know....

Yes, it still pops up on Safari.

  6. I'm going to toss methadone into the ring. Doctors seem to dole that stuff out like Halloween candy, and savvy "patients" go to different docs to get their prescriptions. In my county, more people OD from prescribed methadone than street drugs.

But I thought you don't get a high from methadone?? The only people that use methadone are the ones addicted to heroin, so you take methadone instead to get the fix without getting the high.... It's suppose to be used to wean people off of heroin.... :3huh: But if Demi is on methadone, it means she has an opiate addiction (heroin, Oxy, etc.). Or am I getting my drugs mixed up??

It is indeed used to treat narcotic addiction, but methadone is also prescribed for pain relief and is cheaper than morphine. The "high" is more of a "down" and is long lasting. The cases I'm aware of have been people who have gone to several different doctors, and end up with several prescriptions. Remember the ethical pals of Anna Nicole Smith and Michael Jackson? They' prescribe anything to their famous clients. I was surprised when I learned how widespread the abuse of methadone is.

  7. All I can think of is that she puts out when she gets together with fashion people to smoke crystal meth.

Yeah, there are a lot of straight men in fashion :tantrum: She doesn't look attractive in those ads- not selling to me at all (and skeletal CAN sell fashion!) I can't imagine anyone wanting to sleep with her...I know there are freaks around though ;-)

Apparently no amount of photo retouching can erase the damage drugs and alcohol have done to her young face. Remember when Don Johnson used to be cute? He had that same "alcohol face lift" and was never really attractive after that. Something just deadens their looks.

If Lifetime goes forward with their intended biopic on Elizabeth Taylor, and their only 2 choices are Megan Fox and Lindsay, I'd rather see Lindsay do it. She was (and maybe still could be) a talented actress and she's had the excesses and negative public backlash that Liz had for her affairs, so her performance might be more raw. Meh. I don't think Lifetime should do it at all.

  8. TMZ

The Demi Moore 911 tape will not be very revealing, because we've learned there's gonna be a lot of redacted information ... including the drugs she was using just before the emergency.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... The L.A. City Attorney is recommending that all references to drugs in the 911 conversation between the dispatcher and one of Demi's friends should be erased before being released to the public. The recommendation is based on patient privacy.

TMZ broke the story ... paramedics on scene were told Demi had been doing whip-its ... inhaling nitrous oxide immediately before she fell into semi-consciousness and had seizure-like symptoms.

The LA City Attorney is likely less concerned with patient/doctor privilege than he is about a lawsuit against the city. Patient/doctor privilege is between the patient and the doctor, not the friend of the patient and the 911 operator.

For the guess on prescription drugs she's taking, I'm going to toss methadone into the ring. Doctors seem to dole that stuff out like Halloween candy, and savvy "patients" go to different docs to get their prescriptions. In my county, more people OD from prescribed methadone than street drugs.

  9. Move over, I'm hopping on the Rhianna Bugs Me train too. And I must admit I'm rather perturbed she's wearing a John Lennon t-shirt. I challenge her to sing one of his songs from beginning to end.

She should have left off the "T" and "H" and just had "Ug" tattooed on herself instead.

  12. I'm not sure I agree they all deserve to be on an 'all stars' but I was really enjoying this season.

To me, clearly a few of them were brought back only for their personality, not talent :D

So true! Maybe it's the familiarity of the designers, but I'm enjoying this season. However, they do seem to be knocking off the ladies "of a certain age" one by one.

  13. Is anyone watching Project Runway All Stars?? I like it so far.

I have both saved on TiVo, hoping to watch tonight :D

I didn't even know it had started and caught the preview and this week's episode in far-too-much-TV-time on Thursday. I didn't know the format and was surprised with the total recasting of the hostess, judges and mentor, but really like the revamp - the show needed it. Mizrahi has relevant critiques and is fun to listen to. The new mentor, Joanna Coles, is really like a female Tim Gunn in a Tabatha Coffey sort of way (but Tim rules supreme!). The Heidi replacement has THE MOST FROZEN FOREHEAD I've seen! She looks like a marionette - only her mouth moves when she talks.

  14. Pretty pics. I know cover shots are done months in advance, so I'm wonder if they photoshopped Demi's ring off her finger? (Along with everything else that was tweaked to perfection, although the dead look in Demi's eyes - especially compared with Amanda's expressions - just can't be hidden.)

  15. NATIONAL ENQUIRER 12/12

    1. WHAT late ’70s, early ’80s sitcom star went to his grave with a huge secret surrounding the mystery of Natalie Wood’s death? The legendary character actor didn’t want to get involved in the case, but he wasn’t shy about sharing what he knew about that fateful night Natalie drowned off the coast of Catalina Island!

Well, if he wasn't shy about sharing what he knew, then somebody must have heard it. And truthfully, unless he was there, he only knows what someone told him.

  16. This would be a pretty difficult cold case to prove unless someone confesses, and even then I doubt it would go to a trial. But if the book is making claims that something untoward occurred to cause the demise of Natalie Wood, then Sheriff Lee Baca has an ethical duty to investigate that (and that could be done without talking to the press, but apparently his mind doesn't work that way). Now, if only Sheriff Baca would find it ethical to keep Lindsey Lohan in the clink...

  17. Breaking News: Demi Moore Ends Marriage to Ashton Kutcher

    US Weekly

Margin Call actress Moore adds in her statement: "This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation."

Compassion and privacy does not = AP Press releases and Twitter feeds!
