  1.  Actually, I listened to the whole interview on Stern, and I felt he was very honest and self-reflective. The tabloids tried to paint it like he was criticizing Jennifer Garner, but what he was really saying was that they were having major difficulties in their marriage, and instead of trying to handle it, or leaving, which he didn't want to do because of the kids, he drank. Eventually, he came to the realization that wasn't working, and they decided to end their marriage. He said that he loves and respects Jennifer, and that she's a very good mother. I thought some of the more interesting parts of the interview, which was about 2 hours long, was about how cut-throat and cruel the movie industry can be, and how he didn't always respond very well to that, and about his relationship with his own alcoholic father (now long sober). I was surprised by how sincere he seemed, actually. It was refreshing compared to most interviews, but that's really a reflection on Howard's skill too.

  2. I have a friend who has major underlying conditions: he's had two heart attacks. We live in NJ, and he's been trying to be careful, and is fully vaccinated. BUT...then he went to Vegas (of all places) for a family reunion. Long story short, he came back with the Rona. Felt like an extremely bad flu. Went to the hospital and was given Regeneron on a Saturday. Felt much better by Sunday night. Was fully healed by the middle of the week. Needless to say, the vaccine and Regeneron saved his life. If it was last year at this time, he wouldn't have made it. His wife also got it, but she is vaxxed and had mild symptoms and is fine.

  3. Yes, same day, same shots (moderna). He got a call from the city we live in saying that they had a shot for him, and asking how many adults he had in the household. They took our names and told us to come on down to the hospital the next morning for the first shot. We felt very lucky because we still weren't technically considered "eligible," but the city had the shots available, so why waste them? I wouldn't have wanted to "jump the line," but everybody I knew who was older than me had already gotten their shots. By the time the state notified me that I was eligible, I had already had my second shot! We weren't that concerned about the side effects, and I know he was shocked by how badly he did with them.  Even though I was there, there wasn't much I could do for him other than bring him juice and order dinner since I don't cook. 😁

Oh - I had my 2nd shot (pfizer) last Friday. Had some chills that night, shot site pain and a headache for a couple days, very tired (and super lazy) that Saturday. A little lazy on Sunday but that's probably just me 🙂 My husband lost the bet I'd have no side effects - but really, a day of feeling a little under the weather compared to hospitalization and/or death? Yeah, I'm ok with that!

I was very similar to you. Same timeline. My boyfriend, on the other hand, had major side effects - fever, chills, pains all over. Friday night until early Sunday. But hey - much better than actually getting Covid and dealing with the possible effects of that illness.

Good guess. Their youngest child, Phoebe, is 18 and must be going to college this coming fall.

Yes, I think that's exactly why a lot of couples divorce at that point. They wait until the kids are out of the house, then if things weren't going well anyway, and they didn't really have much in come but the kids anyway, they just end up pulling the plug.

Pre registered in January.  Still waiting (estimated at 3 to 4 weeks) for an OK to attempt to schedule an appointment here in Maryland.  Do not believe that crap about people not wanting the vaccine,  remember how hard it was to get a test.

My mom also pre registered in January here in Jersey. She's elderly and definitely eligible. They gave her a date in late April...

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen pregnant again!!! I'm absurdly happy about this, considering Ive never wanted kids ?

Yeah, no kids here, and not really a kid person, but I like them as a couple, so happy here too.

  8. I also am not going to be willing to go to a theater until this thing is completely under control. But, we really only go for Star Wars movies, or things we really want to see on the big screen, like the new Halloween, so we really have only gone a couple times of year anyway. And I only go to AMC's with dine-in and drinks. lol I like the whole experience if I'm going to bother spending that much money anyway. I think theaters will eventually come back, but with limited movies and with more theaters treating it like an "experience." I think there will be far more movies on streaming services. Things were going in that direction anyway, but the pandemic has definitely sped that up in a major way.

I've got my tickets...well, for next year I guess...

  10. It was terrible on FOX. Football ran halfway through the Red Carpet, the Red Carpet sucked, so I had to stay with E. And they handled the ceremony poorly - no host, the commentator was mostly just annoying, overemphasis on FOX shows. It was just horrible. No wonder the ratings were even worse than usual.
