Depp To Help Coma Girl

 

Kind-hearted Hollywood actor JOHNNY DEPP has vowed to help a British girl who is fighting for her life after spending five months in a coma.

 

The parents of 17-year-old Sophie Wilkinson from Southampton, England, who was critically injured in a car crash last year (07), wrote to the Pirates of the Caribbean star as he is their daughter's favourite actor - and Depp was so moved by their plight he resolved to help.

 

Depp has agreed to record a voice message for the teenager which will be played to her in the hope it will help bring her out of the life-threatening coma.

 

He also agreed to try to visit the stricken teen at Southampton General Hospital. And Sophie's father Andrew was delighted the star offered to give up his time to help.

 

He says, "We are looking for the key to wake her up, so we wrote to Johnny and he said he would do the recording in the voice of (his Pirates of the Caribbean character) Jack Sparrow.

 

"Only this week Sophie moved her right leg, which she has never done before. When we got home my wife and I were jumping for joy!"

Wentz Denies He Is Banned From Simpsons' Christmas Dinner

 

 

Fall Out Boy star Pete Wentz has dismissed reports he has been banned from joining his girlfriend Ashlee Simpson's family for Christmas, insisting the rumors are all false.

 

Simpson's manager father, Joe, was alleged to be displeased with his daughter's romance with the bassist and refused to have him spend time at his home over the holiday period.

 

Sources told Star magazine last week, "Joe was skeptical about the relationship from the start. ... There is a rumor that Pete tried to commit suicide, but with the news of his possible bisexuality, Joe blew his top."

 

But the rocker has denied any tension between him and papa Simpson.

 

In an e-mail to MTV.com, he says, "I think Joe gets a really bad rap in the press. He's always been nothing but nice to me.

 

"He even called me to let me know he expects me to show up for Xmas. So there's no truth to that (rumor)."

I know the one you're talking about. The "concerned family" one - which I think was about Luke. Both Owens brothers party like it's 1999, but Luke's the one with the heroin habit. At least he WAS the one with the heroin habit. Either Owen's taken his brother's tastes too much to heart or it was just an over-partying night for him.

 

The problem is that these people are mixing the wrong drugs, imo. One recently popular mix is X with mushrooms. Yikes! In the old days I'd mix prescription speed with alcohol and pot, coke with alcohol and pot and LSD/shrooms/whatever with pot (basically pot goes with everything). I would never have mixed speed with acid or shrooms with X. It just seems like a stupid way to combine drugs to me, but then I'm old-school so what the hell do I know anymore?

I agree with your point that it would be wrong to slur her in such a way, but I only have seen responses to what she says, not who she is. It becomes much complicated and ultimately irrelevant when people take issue with who people are, their backgrounds, religion, etc.. instead of what they are voicing. As far as I am concerned, Race, Religion, and Political affiliation are not really relevant in terms of judging how valid a person's position is. The facts alone are the only determinant!

I am not of the belief that it has to be so black and white (or blue and red, in this case), and this is a good example of why, because the actual point is getting skewed by political affiliations. I really wish we had a more diverse party system instead of the two, but that is off topic...

 

The actual arguement that Rosie and Elizabeth have had over this war and this administration has been going on for the whole season. In my opinion, most if not all other times Elizabeth has proved only ignorance and/or blind faith, with regards to this issue. In a way its not her fault, and she is a realistic representative of the beliefs of portion of this country, but that doesn't make her any less of a naive fool in a lot of cases. Bottom line, if everyone was as trusting, naive, and gullible as she is, the people in charge would get away with MURDER. Has anyone here heard the term "Sheeple"? It means people who are just mindless, naive, "sheep", to be herded and controlled.

 

I would say Elizabeth won if I had never taken any Philosophy classes and knew about different kinds of Arguements. She uses tactics that, to me, say she can't stand on her stance alone. She had to disarm Rosie on something that didn't really invalidate her arguement, but could hurt her overall credibility. In my opinion it was misconstrued as Rosie isn't stupid enough to believe the soldiers are actually acting on their own accord, its the people making the big calls that she is implying as terrorists. Elizabeth making Rosie sound wrong, will make herself sound right, even though she has shown no evidence of anything related to her opinions on the issue.

 

Except for the fact that Elisabeth never said Rosie thought the US troops were terrorists. I think Elisabeth's point was that she could not clarify Rosie's thoughts and that Rosie was better served doing that herself. I still do not understand why Rosie did not do it herself but instead kept sayin "Do you think I think that".

 

I agree with you that Rosie's INTENT was directed at the administration when she said those words, however by extension you have to also mean the troops that carried out the actions of the dead Iraqi's she was referring to. If I could, I would liken it to saying that the people who were killed in the WTC were killed by terrorists and having it only mean Bin Laden and his top tier people. Terrorists would also be the guys on the ground who carried the orders out. Does that make sense? I think that is why Rosie should clarify her comments because they could be misconstrued quite easily by some people.

In regards to Trump, doesn't it seem a little weird that he is so into attacking Rosie? I can't help but think it has something to do with her sexuality more than anything else.

I think that Elizabeth and those other crazy mofos twisted what Rosie had said around to villify her, because Rosie was talking about the people pulling the strings and making the decisions, and since when do any of the troops ever choose anything? It definitely is the battle of Agendas at the view, Rosie's vs. Elisabeth's. The issue for me is that Elisabeth's isn't her own, it is very bush-centric, blind, and it is based in ignorance. At least Rosie's agenda is anti-suppression of information.

I've always found her attitude to be complex towards her fame. She almost acts as if she isn't interested in the whole realm, and considering that she wasn't an actress when she was discovered, this makes sense. She is a decent actress, although it may just be because the character's attitude was so close to her own. I feel like this could also be a kind of defense mechanism toward the business because I am sure she has had some people question her abilities. I don't think she has much "training".

I think she shows emotion better than many and she has a lot of raw ability.
