Interesting use of the word "cast" which implies she'll be playing a character on the View. When I worked at Disneyland, they referred to us as cast members, even in food service. Then again, this could have been ABC's short term, SURE FIRE way to get rid of Star (hiring Rosie). Maybe Rosie is even in on it.

Kevin Connolly was in Leo's posse way back when. I mean way back. I have no doubt that a lot of it is about Leo back in the days when he was becoming famous. They did a little movie together called Don's Plum. I don't think it has been released in this country - but it's them and Tobey Maguire and I think Ethan Suplee (and some others I can't recall offhand) in a diner in the valley. He had a hard time with learning how to be famous after Titanic. He didn't leave his house in daylight hours for over a year. His fans were nuts back then (don't know if they still are). If he's rude in public, I can only assume it's a defense mechanism.

Heather was on one of the entertainment shows tonight. She's carrying around a video camera and filming anyone she thinks is stalking her or could kidnap her kid. They said that people are stalking her from all over and following her all over the WORLD (er, like how do they know?) I think she's a mental admit waiting to happen.

I saw this on Access Hollywood last night and the part about it being filmed weeks ago got my attention. So there's a lot of fuss about her "still working" or having a "new job" but in fact, she did this before her exit from the View - she's not working now. I wonder if they would have had her film that if she had already left the View. I think NOT!! Star needs to go away now.

I hope you're right. For me, I was kind of pissed when she stepped right into Princess Diana's place with the landmines. It's not like Heather lost her leg because of a landmine, but I can guarantee you there are a lot of people who think that! Didn't she know that by marrying a Beatle she'd always be #2? MAYBE if she stayed in the background and did her good works for a few decades, she could have earned her own genuine reputation as a do-gooder. We'll see how it all shakes out.....

I admit that it has an effect on me as well and I'm a mom. But I'm also in that business, so sometimes that's all I see. And it doesn't make for better self esteem that's for sure! And if I can be influenced by it (and I'm an adult), it must be worse for young girls. But then I force myself to go to the mall and sit outside and really look at people. Normal people aren't thin and beautiful like models and starlets are. Normal people are normal weight (which would translate to overweight in the tabs), and they look interesting. Not like everyone else. So take your daughters to the mall and do a running commentary. Make them SEE the real world! It may not have an immediate effect, but they will remember the lesson. We worship freaks of nature and surgical enhancements.
