  1. Don't know anything about him, and never watched Parenthood, but Dax seemed really, really cool on Stern last week. Very honest and funny. Regarding his hair, I don't really know much about it, but Dax joked about losing some of his sexual libido to age and Propecia usage. Between that and his stories of dipping with Kristen, Fergie and Josh Duhamel, he seemed to not have much in the way of a governor where self-censorship is concerned, which is always good for a Stern interview.

Propecia is a great drug to prevent hair loss. Too bad he had to put that out there (low libido) because it's not that much of a deal. 1% of men report INCREASED libido. 1-2% report decreased libido. Most see no change.

  2. Drew really looks gorgeous in these photos!

Absolutely! I really like that they didn't airbrush out her tattoos. They're such a part of our culture now - best to show them I think - even in a fashion shoot like that one.

Her face is too altered on the cover shot though. It doesn't even look like her.

  3. I hope this isn't true! She needs to take care of her drug problem first. If they put her on the show this season (or any time when she's not completely clean and rehabilitated), then I see it as enabling. I could see that perhaps someone there thinks if they give her a big chance to show her talent, and treat her like an artist (and not a druggie) that maybe it would be the catalyst to turn her around. Commendable if that's what they're thinking, but they should wait until she truly does the rehab. JMO.

Lindsay Lohan may return to SNL.

  4. It was a scene with Dax and the gal who plays the girlfriend, and Jabbar, the son. I was literally about six feet behind Dax when he was doing the scene, directly behind the camera guy. My daughter does background work, and she was having a bit of a confusing time, so the set teacher let me get closer. It's a scene where Jabbar starts school and makes his first friend on his first day. It's J's second time on Parenthood. The first time I couldn't tell which of the blonde gals was in the scene (parents are held wayyyy back usually), but I think it was Monica Potter. It is a very nice crew, very understanding of the kids.

Nice :) What a treat for you and your daughter to be able to see so closely behind the scenes! Dax isn't my favorite, but I love the show, so he's growing on me.

  5. I suspect it's more a function of "he's hot, so who gives a f*ck whether he's loyal or not" but I don't get it either.

You're not specifically talking about Jesse James here, are you? Posted Image

That's what I thought. What do people see in him that would be recognized as "hot"?

  6. Why do these girls think guys like this won't cheat on THEM?

Cause she's a cheat and a user, too.

Agreed. And women find these dudes sexy...some...ok, let's not fool ourselves...a lot.

I don't get it. Is it sexy to have someone use you and cheat on you? Or do these women really think that they'll be the one to make him give it all up?

  7. Bottom line -- a bad medical diagnosis may have set the ball rolling that unhinged Lindsay's life.

Adderall is a amphetamine, people with a history of drug abuse tend to get a "high" off it, which is why they take it to begin with.... So saying that Adderall is what CAUSED the problems is kinda lame...

Wasn't there an epidemic (of sorts) of "starlets" taking this to stay thin? Would be interesting to see who prescribed it for her...

  8. Okay, this is how Botox works: it temporarily paralyzes a muscle. From the picture, it's obvious that she has not botoxed her glabella (the area between the brows) but everything else is frozen. Her brows don't move at all. Plus, raising your brows isn't prevented by Botox. So it looks to me like the only place on her entire face NOT Botoxed is her glabella. Be sure to distinguish the veins from wrinkles. ;)

See this smile? She has no "crows feet". Her eyes don't move with her lips to smile.

  9. Fucking idiots. I completely and totally agree with Lainey when she goes on rants about the "minivan majority". Short hair does NOT make a girl a lesbian. Geesh. My mom cut my hair because i hated to have it washed or combed - she wasn't going to deal with the constant battles so she kept it short.

As for boys swim trunks - well, my mom had trouble keeping me in any clothing at all, so......

Fucking idiots. And for once, I do NOT mean Angelina and Brad

    LOL :4biggrin:

I think it's only a big deal if the parents make it out to be a big deal. I know there are parents who realize their toddlers are dealing with trans gender issues and are trying to do what's right by the child but unfortunately, I'm just not that confident in these two as parents. Their heads are so far up their asses that I have to wonder whose idea it really is - the child's or their's. That's the only part I find troubling.

THANK YOU, Kappy, for saying that. I, too, have wondered if this is just the PARENT'S way of making a point that they are open minded and liberal. When my daughter was three, she didn't have much interest in what I dressed her in, other than if it was comfortable. I find it hard to believe a three year old has a defined sense of style.

My sister hated dresses and practically slept with her cowboy hat. She loved that thing. I threw it out the window on Whittier Blvd. when I was 3 ;) Mom got it back. I remember that at holidays, my Mom put her in dresses and curled her hair. She didn't really get a "vote" until 7th grade when she'd had enough. Anyway, my sister is gay. She didn't acknowledge it until she was 40, but we all knew long before she did. She's athletic, caring, selfless, charitable, energetic... all of the good things that most humans strive to be. Having watched her journey, I am convinced that sexuality is linear and we're all just on the line somewhere.

  10. I agree with you MC.

I would think the producers would want success instead of heartbreak, to give legitimacy to the show. Only one couple has made it right (Trista and Ryan)?

I am hoping for Chris from Cape Cod, but of the two, Roberto has been the tried and true rose receiver. I think (hope) she is done.

Well, Jason and Molly got married, but not until they had had more than their share of drama. You're right, success would garner more ratings than the crap they're leaning towards. I used to watch Amazing Race. Then they started casting men who were abusive, and crazy people. That ruined it for me. Why mess with a solid premise? They start messing around with these shows AFTER they get good ratings.

  11. What a mess! I think this is an example of ABC going too far for ratings, and they took their eye off the goal. I think she'll end up chosing nobody. She had fallen hard for Frank. Too bad they wouldn't let him tell her that he still had feelings for an old girlfriend. For weeks they wouldn't let him tell her - and she fell harder for him as he pulled away. Typical mind manipulation! Then, he gets to break her heart. Lovely.

Let's see if ABC learns from their mistakes.

  12. Every time I see this thread bumped, I'm afraid that I will see news that she's been sprung already.

Me too! I doubt that 23 days is long enough for her to (really) dry out, but let's hope that serving jail time will help her to actually try to do the right things when she gets out. Too bad she can't find a mentor to really help her!

  13. Jake's starting to look like a real a$$. Not that I think that Vienna is any better, but she sure is a better actor. LOL.

Jake needs to keep his "gentleman" mask in place and stop acting looney. It's pretty obvious that he chose Vienna because she wasn't a fan favorite, and therefore he'd get sympathy when he dumped her after Dancing with the Stars. I don't think he bargained on her being so good at what she does. Her interviews on Entertainment Tonight were pretty convincing - much moreso than his evil clown laugh.

    Ick.

Jake Pavelka & Vienna Girardi: It’s Over!

June 21st, 2010 6:56 pm / Author: Mary Beth Quirk

It seems the fairy tale romance that began for Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi on The Bachelor has come to an end.

A rep for the couple confirms to OK! exclusively that “Jake and Vienna have split and appreciate respect for their privacy at this time.”

The shocking news first came out on Saturday at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County Oncology Prom near L.A., where Vienna confessed to Greek actor Gregory Michael that her engagement was over.

“We hit it off and hung out and danced the night away, ” Gregory explains to OK!, adding, “She made it very clear that it was over with Jake.”

A close source to Jake and Vienna — who got engaged in March after he picked her as the winner of ABC’s reality dating contest — also confirmed the break-up.

A rep for ABC had not responded to our request for comment by the time this story was published.

  15. Since when do they need a urinalysis to confirm the bracelet's alarms? It's obvious that she doesn't have any sort of a support system on the outside (to help her stay clean). Time to separate her from all of that.

I'm pretty sure her attorney ordered the urinalysis, knowing full well that the alcohol would be entirely burned off by the time she took it. All part of the spin.

I get that. I just don't understand why the court wouldn't trust the bracelet, or would let her off "just this once".

  16. So how much drama can ABC manufacture? I think we're about to find out.

Too bad. I think this concept would be fun to watch if REAL people (who met her qualifications exactly) were hired, instead of a handful that are real and two handsful that are there for the wrong reasons. Poor Ali. I hope somebody told her before she started!

Grown men acting like "women" just doesn't feel real, ABC. Buy a clue!

(I'm pulling for the guy from Cape Cod).
