  1. Lainey says there's a director war--McG vs Bay, Transformers & Terminator coming out at same time, and that this was a volley by one side.....Since I cannot remember who directs which movie, I can't say who lobbed the grenade ;-)

    I think Bay is Transformers.

  2. I assume this is the same wheel that Creepy Ben uses to turn and move the island in later time? So, should we believe that some ancient person ended up having his ship wrecked there and encased in rock or are we looking at an ancient alien ship?

It is the Giant Frozen Donkey Wheel Ben used last year to move the Island. I firmly believe it's been used before by Charles Widmore and that's why he wants to find the Island, but isn't actuaally able to get back, like Ben. spoilers--->Though I have seen pictures of Ben on the Island with other Oceanic 6 members and they appear to be there during the Dharma days, Jack, Kate, Juliet, Hurley and Sawyer were all wearing Dharma jumpsuits in those picture. They must be jumping in time as well or Ben managed to get them back on the Island in a different year(it looks like the 70's) <---

  3. I loved he thanked his dogs ! and said when a man is alone sometimes all you have are your dogs !! I remember seeing those pictures of him a few years ago walking and carrying his little dogs !

That was very touching, and it probably is true for a lot of people who are alone. That line alone made me tear up.

  4. I gave up on Bones. I was too annoyed after the whole Zach thing and I hated the whole Angela/Hodges break-up as well(mostly the reasons for it). The show is nothing like it used to be, I barely recognized Booth by the end of my viewing experience and I got really really sick of the damn anvils regarding Booth&Brennan.

Wentz Recalls First-Time Sex with Simpson

Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz has spoken up yet again about his "amazing sex life" with wife Ashlee Simpson, insisting the first time the two slept together was "the single best sexual encounter" he's ever had.

Wentz, who married Simpson in May , opened up about their sex life to raunchy radio host Howard Stern on Tuesday.

The rocker tells Stern he had to "beat her (Simpson) over the head with a club and drag her back to my cave" before she first agreed to have sex with him.

He adds, "It was at the Soho Grand Hotel (in New York City), and I'm looking in the mirrors, (thinking), 'Oh my God, you are (sleeping with) the girl of your dreams, and you can watch yourself!'"

And though the pair welcomed their first child Bronx Mowgli last month, Wentz doesn't see their intense sexual chemistry fading.

He adds, "We have an amazing sex life. We have such sexual chemistry. If we had been on this show last year, we'd probably be doing it in the green room right now.

"Hopefully, the kid doesn't change it. The kid's (a few) weeks old (but) we do other fun stuff."

You're trying way too hard, Pete. We all still think you're gay.

  6. Hugh Jackman to Host the Oscars

And the hosting honor goes to … Hugh Jackman.

PEOPLE's reigning Sexiest Man Alive has been chosen to host the 81st annual Academy Awards ceremony, to take place Feb. 22

The Australia star, 40, who'll be hosting the Oscars for the first time, was selected "because we want the ceremony to be fun," says Laurence Mark, producer of the telecast.

"He can hold the screen and he can hold a stage. It doesn't hurt that he looks amazing in a tuxedo and he's the Sexiest Man Alive."

Jackman won an Emmy in 2005 for hosting the 59th annual Tony Awards in 2004. He was also nominated as host of the Tonys in 2005.

ABC will broadcast the Oscar ceremony live from the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles on Feb. 22.

  7. I am so confused; this is such a stupid name, and I could swear I thought Pete Wentz was gay. Whatever.

I think I have already expended enough energy on this couple. However, I would like to say one thing in response to this quote from "Papa Joe": Ewwwww!

<<And, as her dad, Joe Simpson, recently put it to PEOPLE: "The day she found out she was pregnant, she became a woman." >>

So according to Daddy Joe, Jessica isn't a woman? Explains a lot. :D

  8. Anne Hathaway's ex-boyfriend gets 4 1/2 years in scam

By LARRY NEUMEISTER, Associated Press Writer Larry Neumeister, Associated Press Writer – 50 mins ago

NEW YORK – Anne Hathaway's former boyfriend was sentenced Thursday to 4 1/2 years in prison for cheating investors of millions of dollars by claiming he had Vatican connections that enabled him to buy Roman Catholic Church property at a discount.

"I dishonored my family name and embarrassed the church I love. I'll never be able to wash away that stain, and I will have to live with it the rest of my life," Raffaello Follieri, 30, said through an Italian interpreter before he was sentenced. "I just hope someday those who have been hurt by my actions can forgive me."

U.S. District Judge John G. Koeltl said Follieri had engaged in a significant fraud that hurt investors, will financially ruin him and will cause him to be deported after his prison term. The judge also cited Follieri's "lavish personal expenditures," which prosecutors have said were financed with his investors' money.

Follieri said he started off with good intentions, determined to run an honorable business.

"Instead, I made some terrible mistakes," he said. "I always thought I could repair the wrongdoing, but I was wrong."

But Assistant U.S. Attorney Reed Brodsky said Follieri had lied about his education, his background, his wealth and his Vatican connections from the moment he solicited investors through his real estate business, the Follieri Group.

Those investors included Yucaipa Cos., which is controlled by supermarket billionaire Ron Burkle, a close friend of former President Clinton.

Follieri agreed to forfeit $2.4 million when he pleaded guilty last month to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering.

Koeltl ordered Follieri Thursday to forfeit 15 watches and other precious metals and jewelry. The judge said he would impose a substantial amount of restitution at a future date.

Prosecutors have said Follieri falsely claimed he was the Vatican's chief financial officer and showed at least one business contact a phony letter Pope John Paul II purportedly wrote to him in 2002.

Follieri spent millions of dollars of investors' money on personal expenses, including flowers, cosmetics, clothes, wine, expensive dinners, dog-walking services, yacht rentals, a $37,000-a-month Manhattan condo and vacations for himself, his parents and Hathaway, prosecutors said.

They said he even he used $18,200 of investors' cash to settle a lawsuit over expenses he ran up on vacation with the "Get Smart" and "The Devil Wears Prada" star. The two dated for four years, until shortly before his arrest in June.

Defense lawyer Flora Edwards has pinned Follieri's troubles on his acquaintances with movie stars and celebrities, saying in court papers that he "became intoxicated with it all."

"Unfortunately, he lacked the resources to maintain the opulent lifestyle of his new friends," she wrote.

Edwards asked that Follieri be sentenced to three years in prison, even though he had agreed to serve at least four years and three months when he entered his guilty plea.

She noted that more than 100 letters had been written on his behalf, and she said his charitable acts and a gravely ill mother were reasons to lighten his sentence.

But Brodsky argued that Follieri made his charitable contributions with money he had stolen from investors and lied about his intentions almost from the moment he arrived in the United States six years ago.

  9. Hugh Hefner on Holly: "It's Over!"

Marc Malkin Wed Oct 8, 11:48 AM ET

Los Angeles (E! Online) - It's really over.

Hugh Hefner confirms he and Holly Madison are no longer.

"If she says it's over, it's over," Hefner tells me. "But like I've said before, she is the love of my life, and I expected to spend the rest of my life with her."

The Playboy mogul says the relationship started to crumble about six months ago when they learned he was unable to father a child with Holly.

"With my sperm count, it's not possible," Hefner explained. "I was willing but it was not possible…She'd like to be married and have children, but it's not in the cards here for me."

Where does that leave the other two Girls Next Door, Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt?

Hefner says they're still romantically involved, but admitted, "the relationship with Kendra will be ending when she moves out, probably by the end of this year."

Hef ain't wasting anytime getting back in the saddle though.

In the last week, he's been spotted with 19-year-old twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon (pictured above). "They very much want to be girlfriends and now under the present circumstance, they probably will become my girlfriends," Hefner says.

And they're not all he has to look forward to.

A college senior from Georgia whom Hefner identifies as Amy Leigh Andrews is also waiting in the wings. "She was testing here this past weekend," Hef says of the centerfold wannabe, "and she said she'd like to be a girlfriend, too."

The 82-year-old Hefner laughed, "I'm dancing as fast as I can."

  10. Pal: Ashlee and Pete Expecting Twins

Marc Malkin Sun Sep 7, 7:33 AM ET

Los Angeles (E! Online) - Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz could find themselves facing another round of twin rumors.

Pete's buddy, hip-hop artist Tyga, says that the parents-to-be are expecting not one, but two bundles of joy.

"They're having twins," Tyga said in an exclusive interview yesterday at the House of Hype's pre-VMA barbeque. "They're really happy."

Either Tyga spilled the beans or he's repeating an internet rumor that Pete started earlier this summer…

In June, Pete sent the internet into a tizzy when he referred to his and Ashlee's unborn baby as "them" during an Arizona radio interview. He quickly denied they were having twins, explaining to blogger Perez Hilton that he was just trying to be vague about the pregnancy.

A rep for the couple insists only one baby is on the way. "It is not true," the rep said of Tyga's twins report.

Pete, 29, and Ashlee, 23, were married on May 17 at her parents' L.A.-area home. Eleven days later the young rockers announced that Ashlee was preggers.

Pete's band Fall Out Boy is up for a VMA tonight for Best Rock Video for the video for their cover of Michael Jackson's "Beat It."

  11. Oscar winner Helen Mirren: I was date-raped

(CNN) -- Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren has revealed that she was date-raped when she was a student.

    Dame Helen Mirren

Helen Mirren has previously spoken about a bad experience she had after taking drugs in her early 20s.

In an interview with Britain's GQ magazine, the 63-year-old also admitted to using cocaine at parties until she was forced to quit in the early 1980s.

Mirren, who picked up an Academy Award last year for her starring role in "The Queen," said she was date-raped "a couple of times" when she was young but did not report the attacks because "you couldn't do that in those days."

Despite her experiences, the British-born actress said date-rape was a "tricky area" and something men and women had to work out between themselves.

She said it was rape if a couple engaged in sexual activity but the woman said "no" at the last second. Video Watch as Mirren's comments spark anger »

However, in comments likely to anger anti-rape campaigners, she added, "I don't think she can have that man into court under those circumstances. I guess it is one of the subtle parts of the men/women relationship that has to be negotiated and worked out between them."

Mirren also spoke of her "love" for cocaine during the interview for the October edition of GQ but claimed that she gave up the drug after learning that a leading Nazi war criminal had been profiting from the drug.

"I loved coke. I never did a lot, just a little bit at parties," she told GQ. "But what ended it for me was when they caught Klaus Barbie, the Butcher of Lyon, in the early '80s.

"He was hiding in South America and living off the proceeds of being a cocaine baron. And I read that in the paper, and all the cards fell into place, and I saw how my little sniff of cocaine at a party had an absolute direct route to this horrible man."
