  1. Do you know that Sandra Bullok once described Tate as the great love of her life(they were engaged at one point)? Of course, that was before little Louis came along : )

He got married in 2005 and divorced a few years later. Bet Jennifer isn't crying into her beer over him.

  2. On Friday afternoon, pop sensation Jennifer Lopez and crooner husband Marc Anthony announced their split after seven years of marriage. The couple released a joint statement to People magazine saying simply, "We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."

This will be Lopez's fourth, and Anthony's second, divorce. The couple share three-year-old twins, Max and Emme, born in 2008.

  4. I believe that Maria knew and stuck with him until he was no longer running California. Not saying she deserved it but clearly she liked being First Lady enough that she decided to suck it up and stay. I think Ted C said it best when he wrote that Maria knew what she was getting into when she married Arnie, but probably didn't realise quite how great the emotional toll would be on her.

  5. From the UK Guardian: (Friday, May 13th 2011)

Sienna Miller has accepted £100,000 compensation from the News of the World after it accepted unconditional liability for her phone-hacking claims.

The unexpected agreement came midway through a high court battle with the paper. The actor is the first celebrity to settle a claim since the tabloid, part of Rupert Murdoch's News Group Newspapers (NGN), last month admitted hacking the phones of several public figures. The settlement is the highest privacy award to date; NGN will also pay Miller's legal costs.

Michael Silverleaf QC, NGN's barrister, had previously claimed Miller's case could result in £400,000 in damages. He told the court this would be a "ludicrous" sum.

Separately, it emerged that James Hewitt, the man who became famous for his affair with Princess Diana, is poised to sue for invasion of privacy. He will issue proceedings next week after the Metropolitan police showed him evidence that suggested he may have been targeted by Glenn Mulcaire, the private investigator who was jailed for phone hacking in 2007.

Hewitt's lawyer, Charlotte Harris of Mishcon de Reya, confirmed that her client is to begin action against the paper: "He's had his meeting with the police, we're satisfied he has a strong case and we will be issuing legal proceedings next week."

Max Clifford has claimed Koo Stark, a former girlfriend of Prince Andrew, is also poised to sue a tabloid over phone-hacking, although it is unclear which title he was referring to. Her lawyer, Andrew Veen, said he could not comment at this stage.

Clifford said that his understanding was that the title was not part of the News International stable, which includes the Sun, The Times and Sunday Times. "She approached me some time ago saying she is convinved her phone was tapped when she was with Prince Andrew," he said. "She wanted her to put me in touch with lawyers and she has been taking legal advice. I won't say who she thinks it was, but it wasn't News International".

Miller's legal team had previously insisted she was not concerned with the financial aspect of the settlement. "The crucial point in our view is to know the extent of the wrongdoing," Hugh Tomlinson QC, Miller's barrister said in court.

He added that she had made the last-minute agreement "precisely because all her claims have been admitted [comprising] misuse of private information, breach of confidence, publication of articles derived from voicemail hacking and a course of conduct of harassment over a period of 12 months as resulting from all that.

"Her primary concern is not how much money is rewarded by way of compensation but what the extent was of the hacking that took place," he said. "What she wants is to have is disclosure and proper answers from the News of the World as to what took place so she can have effective non-monetary relief and can be properly compensated."

Silverleaf told the high court the story about her troubled relationship with actor Jude Law, which was published after her voicemail was hacked, was "hurtful" to the 29-year-old. He said £100,000 was fair because it was more than what she would receive if she had suffered a "life-changing experience" such as the loss of an eye or facial scarring.

"What she wants is a public inquiry that goes beyond what the remedy in civil law provides," Silverleaf added. "The complainant's career, reputation or life has not been affected in the long term. She said she was upset at the time. She does not suggest she suffered any long-term harm, there is no suggestion in the pleading."

Last night Hugh Grant backed the use of injunctions to protect celebrities' private lives. Speaking on Newsnight, he said the British press had "been completely out of control for the last 20 years". He added: "It's a bit like living under the Stasi. You never know when you haven't got a long lens in the bushes at the end of my road or in a car … I've had my phone hacked, I've had the police come and tell me that now. They're always looking for anyone you may have been in contact with." Grant said that it would be "wonderful" if newspapers closed as a result of injunctions . "It's fabulous that people can go to a judge and stop these things being printed, and it's wonderful that ultimately if it goes on like that the worst of the tabloids will pretty much go out of business, because there's very little real journalism done in those papers now.

"It's mainly stealing successful people's privacy and selling it," he said. At least 24 breach of privacy claims have been lodged against the News of the World by celebrities who believe their mobile phone voicemails were eavesdropped on using stolen information, such as pin codes, obtained by Mulcaire. The newspaper has admitted hacking at least eight public figures' voicemails.

Rupert Murdoch's News International announced last month it was setting up a £20m compensation fund.

A News International spokeswoman said: "We're pleased we have managed to bring this case to a satisfactory conclusion. Several weeks ago we admitted liability in certain cases and offered a genuine and unreserved apology. We hope to resolve other cases swiftly.

"For the record, reports that we have been ordered to disclose 8,000 emails to Ms Miller are inaccurate. The error stems from a reference in court to the fact that a total of 8,000 emails were being searched to ascertain whether any Sienna Miller related material was amongst them."

A statement from both Miller and NGN will be read to the court at a hearing next Friday.

Sandra Bullock Donates $1 Million Toward Tsunami Relief

Sandra Bullock looks upbeat as she heads out to run errands on Wednesday (March 16) in New York City.

The 46-year-old actress has donated $1 million to the Red Cross to support tsunami relief efforts in Japan!

“The American Red Cross is extremely grateful for this generous support from Sandra Bullock and her family,” the organization said in a statement. “This contribution is vitally important as the Red Cross works to provide critical assistance and essential relief items in this time of urgent need for so many people in Japan.”

Sandra also donated $1 million to Doctors Without Borders to benefit Haitian relief efforts after the 2010 earthquake.

  7. From Ted's Eonline Aweful Truth, about Oscar after-party:

Speaking of couples that don't interact, Bradley Cooper and Renée Zellweger were at the same Oscar party Friday night and we're told they didn't hang out either!

The duo was at CAA lord Bryan Lourd's party and an insider says the supposedly rockin' couple didn't interact one bit.

"Renée, who actually looked gorgeous, mingled with guests and Bradley hung out with a guy friend for a while on the couch," a partygoer tells us.

"I didn't see them talk once inside, but believe they left together."

Yes, left with a zillion paparazzi outside!

  8. Guess Brandi Glanville's not a fan of Take Your Future Stepmom to School Day.

Glanville fumed after LeAnn Rimes -- controversial fiancee of Glanville's ex-husband Eddie Cibrian -- apparently shared her vocal talents with the class of Mason, Glanville's 7-year-old son with Cibrian. On Tuesday, former model Glanville sniped to Rimes, 28, on Twitter: "I told Eddie to please tell you that I think it is highly inappropriate for you to sing in my son's class on Friday. Boundaries!!!"

Over the summer, actor Cibrian, 37, reportedly moved into Rimes' Malibu pad over the summer with sons Mason and Jake, 3. (The couple's romance famously began as an extramarital affair on a Lifetime movie set.)

Glanville added angrily, "It's Mason's week share his family with the class. It isn't your place. Let Eddie read a script.

  9. I voted for Julia & Danny because they're seen not together much and she doesn't sound like an easy person to be around. And clearly, neither of them have ever cared much for fidelity. He's been with her long enough, now, that I think he'd get a big payout if they divorced (well, not sure what their prenup demanded, but he'd probably get a lot).

  10. She thinks he's erratic.

Well, Pete has admitted to being bi-polar so not exactly a surprise...

hey're fantastic parents – Pete says she's a great mom, and she says he's a great father," says the source.

Yeah, um, that's what Halle and Gabrial were saying about each other 6 months ago, too!

  11. I do think someone can be a racist and date/ have kids with someone of the "inferior" (in their mind) race. I have an uncle like that; he's white and loved feeling like Mr. Powerful by cheating on his white wife with one of his black employees. Has 2 kids with her. Definitely still a racist. It's about power and sex for him, not about love or respect. Just like a lot of misoginists are married to women.

That being said, I certainly haven't seen any proof that Gabriel is a racist. Not saying it's not possible; maybe he is behind closed doors but I haven't seen many examples of him acting like a bigot or crazy person. Halle, on the other hand, has decades of being with men who she publicly badmouths after the relationships are over, hit & run accident, DUIs, and a reputation as a nutcase. So, based on this alone, I'm going to say that both these parents should STFU and stop talking to the press, but that Halle definitely looks worse at the moment and I'm more inclined to think she's the liar.

  12. As her custody battle turns ugly and racial, Halle Berry would like to thank her ex, Gabriel Aubry--for his sperm donation.

"You were only good for one thing... Thanks for the donation," she allegedly wrote in an email according to Radaronline.com.

Halle and Gabriel split last April, reportedly amicably as they worked out a temporary custody agreement for 2-year-old Nahla. Gabriel filed a paternity petition in December, and the custody battle has turned nasty with reports of Gabriel being abusive and throwing around the n-word and other vulgarities. Sources close to Halle also claim Nahla is terrified of her father and cries when he visits.

Now an ex-girlfriend of Gabriel's has come forward to TMZ backing up claims of Gabriel's racism. The woman said he "has always been a borderline racist" and she was shocked when he got together with Halle.

For what it's worth, a source close to Gabriel tells Radar he would never say the n-word - though he has been known to hurl other expletives at Halle.

"It's just not something that would come out of Gabriel's mouth," the source said. "I'll confess that I've heard him call her "a f***ing b**ch" before -- when he's been provoked, but I am talking serious provocation."

The source added that Halle has sent Gabriel nasty messages, and instead of releasing them he is trying to protect his daughter by saving them for family court, where they will not be available to the press.
