Why Hollywood Women Are Reportedly Wearing All Black to the Golden Globes

    https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2017/12/golden-globes-all-black-protest

To me, their reason for dressing in black was rather hypocritical when that film about Tonya Harding got nominations.

    God bless you always!!!

Holly, I don’t understand your comment. The all black movement was “to make a statement against the epidemic of sexual harassment in the entertainment industry and beyond.” I don’t see how the Tanya Harding movie makes that hypocritical. But then again I haven’t seen the movie so maybe I’m missing something. I do think that people who willingly worked with someone like Woody Allen or Danny Masterson after those allegations have been made public could be called a hypocrite,

Didn't that Tonya Harding girl attack another girl? The film that is made about her gets nominated, and then people who attend the awards dress in black to show that they are against abuse towards the female gender. If that is not hypocritical, I don't know what is.

    God bless you always!!!

P.S. If they are against abuse of the female gender, why was a film about that girl made in the first place let alone nominated?

  2. I guess to complete the set of three, actor Earl Hymann and actress Ann Wedgeworth have also gone forward at ages 91 and 83. Ann is from Three's Company and Earl was Mr. Huxtable from The Cosby Show.

God bless you and their families always!!!

  3. ^^^ Exactly. Its hard enough for a woman to get a fair amount of time on the radio and now another layer of issue exist. Its like frosting being added to a cake that shouldn't have been baked in the first place.

God bless you and Katie always!!!

P.S. I wonder how many other stories there are out of Nashville...whether or not they have been shared already.

  4. I read at another website that Chris committed suicide. Y'all who are fans of him, hang on to with all that you have the fact that you were a part of his journey. My newest musical interest through suicide went forward in 1998.

    God bless you always!!!

P.S. Who have I been listening to lately? The lead guy of this group.

  5. ^^^ I still listen to country, but I do station surf because there are plenty of songs that I either don't care for or have just gotten sick of hearing due to how over played they become.

    God bless you always!!!

P.S. My newest favorite singer is my late beautiful precious Billy Joe Royal. Yesterday would've been his 75th birthday...if only I had discovered him before his going forward in 2015. :( :( :(

  6. I love that LeAnn has not been forgotten about. Sure, its due to her more recent history which of course is not that great in the opinion of many, but it is what eventually leads you to why she is known in the first place: her singing. I watched the Academy Of Country Music awards show last night and I couldn't help but shake my head at the end when the Entertainer Of The Year award was given to another person who is no stranger to the cheating scenario. To me, if one is going to be black balled for such a reason, why not everyone else who is guilty of such a thing?

God bless you and LeAnn always!!!

Holly in East Tennessee (a day one fan of her)

  7. Leavings like this are the ones that really get to me. Not only are they unexpected, but they happen so dang soon. That was man was only 61 and in my opinion that is still too early for anyone to not be here anymore.

God bless you and Bill's family always!!!

  8. Of all these choices, I'd say I've heard the strongest rumors about the following couples:

    Beyonce & Jay-Z

    Nicole Kidman & Keith

    Penelope Cruz & Javier

    Victoria Beckham & David

It would be sad if Keith and Nicole called it quits because they already have ten years under their belts.

God bless you and them always!!!

Wow Holly, who would have thought? :) Welcome to my tribe. I have been dying to say that out loud since November 8, 2016.

Those are Charlie Sheen's choice of words, not mine.

    God bless you always!!!

  10. Charlie Sheen is the most recent person to go running his mouth. One of his newest Twitter messages is one that he wrote for the Lord to see and I guess that it was his response to the going forward of Carrie Fisher and her mom:

Dear God, please take Trump next.

To me, Charlie needs to learn how to zip it with his track record being the way that it is. How many times so far has he cheated death? To wish such a fate on another person in my opinion is only him digging his own hole deeper.

    God bless you always!!!

  11. That Carrie Fisher lady didn't have to wait long for her mother's company. I just read that she went forward today...just one day after her daughter. (shaking my head)

God bless you and their family always!!!

  12. ^^^ And the beat goes on. This is my favorite rendition of the Growing Pains theme song.

God bless you and Alan's family and TV family always!!!

P.S. I love how each family member is all dressed up in their final picture.
