    Paris Hilton recording album

Perez has her single, "Stars Are Blind", up on his website today. No download required to be able to listen. Hate it (bubble-gum pop), but I must say, her voice is not as bad as I thought it would be. Oh god... was that somewhat nice? I'm feeling sick...

    Ashlee Simpson

The only thing I liked about her was that she wasn't her sister. And now, she is. Why, after already becoming famous, would she completely transform her looks? And to match her sister, no less!On the other hand, if she's doing it simply because she wanted to and really doesn't give an F what anyone thinks, then good for her. But I have a feeling there's more motivation and pressure behind this transformation...

    What are you reading?

I loved it too, and am not normally a big historical fiction reader. After I read this one, I read all of them in the series... The Constant Princess The Other Boleyn Girl The Queen's Fool The Virgin's Lover There may be others but I'm not sure.

    Sienna Miller

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Now if they'll just invite Heather Mills McCartney and Camilla Parker Bowles, the group will be complete! What a holiday!Victoria better watch out. I know she's no angel, but I think Sienna could get her into some pretty big trouble on this supposed holiday they're planning... more trouble than she could get into on her own, anyway!

    Jared Leto

INDEED. And that's my ultimate test---would I kick [insert name] out of bed?I think he was just being a joker in the AOL chat interview... a good way to draw attention to the band. But if he was serious... ooh boy... the images that are running through my head right now... I think I'm even more attracted to him than before!

    Rosie O'Donnell

If this is true, that's pretty shitty. But I find it somewhat questionable, as Rosie and Madonna are friends and Madonna, like most major talent, has a reserve of tickets at her disposal for each show. If Rosie wants to go to the concert, I can't believe that Madonna wouldn't give her and Kellie awesome seats! Even if they're not as good of friends as they used to be, I would hate to think that Madonna wouldn't give her tickets.

Oh Lord. This is pretty bad!

    Paul & Stella McCartney clan

I remember some television interview from a few years back in which Paul and Heather invited the cameras into their home. I remember them talking about how Heather didn't even know who "Paul McCartney" was and that she didn't know the Beatles music. Something about how she was raised in a home that played nothing but classical music and that she basically was in the dark as to who he was and his music. I remember he joked about "Get Back" coming on while they were together and she asked if it was one if his songs... Now I know nothing about whether she's nice or not, but I call BULLSHIT. Who the fuck doesn't know who Paul McCartney is?!?! And who hasn't heard of the Beatles? Can you even get through a history class these days without hearing about them?!?! I'm definitely younger than her and I can name every album, song, who wrote which, lyrics, etc. She had to have at least known who he was before they met. Come on... she had to leave the house sometime. I just don't buy it.As I said, I know nothing about her personally, except this:She's not Linda McCartney.

    Oddly Enough

This is pretty cool... Obese man ends cross-country health trek 100 pounds lighter, Steve Vaught revels in journey as much as destination AP - May 9, 2006 NEW YORK - Steve Vaught didn't count each mile he walked or weigh himself every day along the way. And as he completed the final leg of his trek across America, he said making it to New York City from California on foot was only part of his story. "I'm glad that I'm here, but for me it's never been about the destination," he said as he crossed the George Washington Bridge from New Jersey to Manhattan more than a year after he began the trip to lose weight and find happiness. "It's been about the journey." Vaught, 40, began the roughly 3,000-mile trek from his Oceanside, Calif., home to Manhattan on April 10, 2005, when he was 410 pounds and suffering from severe depression after he accidentally killed two elderly pedestrians while driving 15 years ago. He ended the journey Tuesday about 100 pounds lighter. Along the way, Vaught slept in tents and motels and went through 15 pairs of shoes, more than 30 pairs of socks and six backpacks. But he didn't travel with a pedometer or measure the food he ate, and he said he aimed to change his behavior — not just his weight. "This is not about obsessing about numbers, or times, or dates, or miles," he said. "It's just about going on a walk and sort of having time to get things straight." Vaught chronicled his progress on a Web site, thefatmanwalking.com, which lists the names of dozens of supporters in 26 states. His trip attracted the attention of documentary filmmakers and national television, and he plans to write a book about his experiences. Kudos for ‘the walking dude’ As Vaught began walking the span from New Jersey to Manhattan on Tuesday evening with a flock of cameras and reporters, a passing bicyclist yelled, "Hey, that's the walking dude! Congratulations! Good job!" Nicoline Biggio, who went to see him complete his journey, said her husband has been following Vaught's progress but was missing the finale because he was out of town. "I think it's great that he's finished his goal," Biggio said. "So few of us actually keep them." Vaught posed for photographs on the bridge with the New York City skyline in the background and standing in front of the "Welcome to New York, the Empire State" sign. Once he reached the other side — his final destination — he spoke to reporters for a few minutes on the street before being picked up by a black sedan that was to take him to a hotel. His first plan, he said, was to "put on some new socks."

    Rosie O'Donnell

^^^ I'm telling ya, Rosie will have people doing her makeup and hair for The View, so she'll look better than she does on a normal day. She always looked fine on The Rosie Show, I guess until she cut her hair at the end, i don't even remember. I imagine they'll have a tougher time with her wardrobe, but hell, if the woman is comfy in her gap khakis, why the hell does anyone care? Also, The Rosie Show was not set up to be as political, opinionated, etc. as the The View is (although I wonder... the other day the show talked about dry cleaning and what you should and shouldn't drop off... yikes! not exactly an important political/cultural/social/etc. topic...) I'm sure Rosie will mention her kids... all the women on the show who have kids talk about their families... but I'm sure she'll be talking alot more about her politics, a big part of which focuses on gay rights and the acceptance of gay families. I think that it's important for her to talk about her kids and wife, because now that everyone knows she out (come on y'all, who didn't know before her official announcement anyway) they will hear here talk about her kids and wife, their home life, all the boring details, etc., and people who are against gay marriage, gay adoption, etc., will here about how Rosie's family is just like theirs and see for themselves that it's not the evil they imagine it to be. Perhaps she'll talk about some of the horrible things that people say to her children, etc., and people will realize how hateful some of their actions can be. Will everyone who is against gay marriage/adoption/etc. be swayed by hearing Rosie talk? No, of course not. But if it opens even one person's eyes, I say it's worth it. When she talks about them, it's so obvious how loving and caring she is towards them... how can anyone say these kids shouldn't be with her because she's gay? And she can show certain people in America that just because a gay person adopts a child doesn't mean that the child will have horrible psychological problems, doesn't mean the child will be gay too (although what the hell's wrong with that anyway?), doesn't mean the child will be sexually abused by it's adoptive parents, and whatever other things people out there believe that aren't really true. Seeing is believing, folks.

    Star Jones

My roommate, who watches The View more than I ever have, told me that I may have blown this out of proportion. Totally possible. However, it doesn't make me regret a thing that I said about Star... Apparently Joy is very open about talking about her ectopic pregnancy and has brought it up several times. my roommate is not a regular viewer and she claims that she's heard Joy bring it up more than a few times. Joy never seems to get super-serious about anything, so perhaps she jokes around about it... she could have even been referring to it when she made the gynecologist comment. I have no clue. However, Star's still hideous and I can't wait for Rosie to steam-roll her in September.

    Star Jones

Yeah, Rosie's not a looker, but she certainly looked better than she does now when she was on a daily talk show... they put makeup on her and did her hair. Now that she's gotten all outspoken and political, perhaps she won't let them. However, if she does, this could be the best thing for her apearance in a while!

    Star Jones

I already posted this on "The View" thread in "Television Chatter," but I'm still so worked up that I thought I'd post it here as well. Ok, I know there's always going to be some tension between strong-minded women with differing opinions, particularly on a show with a set-up like The View, but I think Joy remains somewhat funny when she's bitchy (at least most of the time), whereas Star crosses the line way too much. Example: This past week they had Kelly Monaco and Eva Longoria on the show. We Tivo'd it for a friend who's obsessed with General Hospital and she came over to watch it yesterday. When the show started, Meredith explained that Elisabeth wasn't there because she had a burst pipe at her apartment and was dealing with that. All the girls were like, "Oh, that's horrible, you know how difficult that can be, we've all had that happen," etc. Star looked so insincere when she expressed her concern, but whatever. (Guess it's harder to hide emotion and lack thereof without all the chub on her face. *Slaps my own hand for being needlessly rude.*) Nobody was saying anything to move on, so Joy, making a joke, said "I think that happened to me at the gynecologist once." Ha ha, whatever. Whether you find her funny or not, people laughed and the girls were about to move on. Just as they're opening their mouths to move on, Star turns to Joy and says, "Yeah, you have had that once. That ectopic pregnancy you had. Burst tube, burst pipe, pretty similiar, huh?" Joy tried to smile and laugh it off (she kept her cool really well), and Barbara looked down kind of embarassed-like and then quickly moved on. What the fuck??? I know they can get catty and attack each other's view points, and I know Joy was pretty short with Star when she called in to the show from the hospital a few weeks ago and the call ended somewhat less than friendly, but I see a big difference in the two situations: A few weeks ago, Star called in to talk about her medical issues and share her shit with all who would listen, and Joy was trying to shut her up because she, like many of us, are tired of hearing Star's bullshit and self-absorbed half-truths, and Star was going on and on and they had a show to do. Here, Star takes a funny moment and turns it into a jab at Joy about what was probably a very upsetting experience in her life. Yes, Joy obviously must have discussed this at some point with Star either in a private conversation or on the show, however I'm sure it was at a time when they were talking about reproductive issues or pregnancies or something a bit more serious, not during a time when people were making light-hearted jokes and warming up the show. I think Star Jones is a self-centered, vindictive, cheap-ass bitch who thinks of no one but herself and Big Gay Al and I CAN'T WAIT to see Rosie chew her up and spit her out. Star knows that Joy is better at getting in the jabs, (jabs that most people actually enjoy), and so she's looking for any chance to strike back, whether it crosses the line or not. Phew. So that's what it feels like to get it all out. Who knew i had a beef with Star Jones? Guess I've been holding that in longer than I realized. Must do it more often! P.S.: And seriously, did anyone see those pics of Star on vacation a few months ago, reading her own book while she lounged by the pool? I guess she had to read all the sexual and romantic bullshit that she made up because that's the only way she gets a taste of it? Who reads their own book in public?!?! All that weight she lost must have gone right to her ego...

    Jude Law

Jude and Sienna: The Saga Continues msn.com Just when we thought we were out, they pull us back in. It appears reports claiming that Sienna Miller had gotten over Jude Law courtesy of hunky Argentinean model Nico Malleville were a bit premature -- the reconciliation-prone pair was snapped enjoying some quality time together in Santa Monica, Calif., last weekend. Us reports that on Sunday, Miller, 24, joined the nanny-susceptible actor, 33, and his two youngest kids for a day of family fun, grabbing a bite to eat and taking in a showing of "Ice Age: The Meltdown". "Sienna was holding [3-year-old] Rudy the whole time in her arms and making him laugh," an insider tells the magazine. There was also an outing to Disneyland, says People, although Law, who last week denounced a paparazzo snapping pics of his kids as "a sick pedophiliac," seems to have had some trouble getting into the spirit of the Happiest Place on Earth. He supposedly "shooed" away a female fan who asked for an autograph, pointing out that he was with his family. The indecisive duo did manage to squeeze in a little grown-up time, enjoying some serious cuddling over dinner Saturday night. "They looked very much back together," an eyewitness to their bread-breaking tells Us. "The kissing and holding hands was constant." This latest reunion comes just weeks after Jude, who is in Los Angeles filming "The Holiday," was seen "kissing and nuzzling" Sienna at a London hotspot. But is their rendezvous going to put a crimp in the leggings-addicted starlet's supposed plans to strike out on her own? The New York Post says Miller, who was linked last month to her "Factory Girl" co-star Hayden Christensen, wants to leave paparazzi-plagued London behind and settle in Manhattan. "She wants to buy an apartment there," a pal tells the paper, which adds that the actress was recently spotted checking out a pad in Harrison Ford's building.

    Rosie O'Donnell

It's official... 'The View' Brings Rosie O'Donnell Aboard By BETH HARRIS LOS ANGELES (AP) - With Rosie O'Donnell as its newest co-host, "The View'' brings a six-time Daytime Emmy winner onto a cast that has made a joke out of its inability to win an Emmy. "The View'' creator Barbara Walters confirmed Friday that O'Donnell will join her show in September, replacing the "Today'' show-bound Meredith Vieira. Walters made the announcement from the stage of the Daytime Emmy awards. "We were amazed when she said yes and we're thrilled to have her,'' Walters said. It wasn't quite the secret that Walters wanted, since word of O'Donnell's selection leaked out on Thursday. O'Donnell made a joking reference to that, noting she had read about her and Walters on the Internet. About her new job, she joked, "it was either that or the celebrity fit club.'' The move marks a plunge back into daytime television for O'Donnell. With a large resume that includes stage, film and TV work, it's the place where she found the greatest success. She won six Daytime Emmys in six years as best talk show host before shutting down her show because she wanted to spend more time raising a family. Some of those Emmy victories were against her new partners at "The View,'' which has made a joke out of an Emmys losing streak that was extended Friday when Ellen DeGeneres won best talk show host. "The View'' got a bigger star than it imagined to replace Vieira, who often serves as the emotional center of an ensemble that also includes Joy Behar, Star Jones Reynolds and Elisabeth Hasselbeck. "They went in a different way,'' said Bill Carroll, an expert on the syndication market for Katz Television. "There was a lot of speculation focused on them finding someone who fit in the Meredith Vieira mold and they obviously didn't go that way.'' With two comics in Behar and O'Donnell, "The View'' will likely turn into a funnier show, he said. The danger is, between Behar, O'Donnell and Reynolds, "the three of them will want to talk at the same time.'' O'Donnell has become a more vocal advocate in favor of gay and lesbian marriage and adoption since leaving her talk show. She and her partner, Kelli Carpenter O'Donnell, have four children and ran a cruise line for gay and lesbian families that was recently featured in an HBO special. But Carroll said O'Donnell's a professional entertainer and he doesn't expect her advocacy will create much controversy. AP Television Writer David Bauder contributed to this report.
