It's too bad, becasue it used to be that the articles in Vanity Fair were really good, in depth looks at things. I remember an article a LONG time ago about Dan Quayle that pretty much put the lid on any further political runs because it was so negative and so quoted. This magazine has gone downhill fast. I didn't think the Anderson Cooper or the Nicole Richie article said much. The Paris one was just deplorable. She should never have been in that magazine.

Nobody wants anybody to kill an animal inhumanely, but we're carnivores after all, and do eat meat. Any cause, from PETA to the HORRID Lambs of Christ to ALF to Scientology that use radical and over the top tactics loses any support from me. I think everyone has a right to believe what they want. I also think they should respect my beliefs. Nobody is going to change mine by throwing a pie at me or shooting a doctor or locking me in a room with a couple of soup cans and an auditor.

Every time I see one of these "celebrities" lose weight with "Great eating habits, strenuous workouts", I wonder how many drugs they did. This is such a lousy thing to do to her body, and how many fat girls think they can eat and lose weight in two months. I HATE this photo.

I'm not that crazy about fur either, but I think people have a right to wear it...within reason. Wearing an endangered animal is just pathetic, but to wear a fur of something that is raised for fur is no different than eating chicken or beef or fish.People that throw blood/paint on people wearing fur are just diminshing their own cause. They look mean and radical and lose rather than gain advocates. Bob Barker has been one of the most strident animal activists there is and almost noboby knows it, except for the blip he says at the end of his show...something about spaying dogs and cats. He ALWAYS wears plastic shoes and belts and will not wear leather. He's kind of a cool old dude. I wear leather and am not a vegetarian, but would prefer to eat salad than beef any day, but will never turn down a barbecued hamburger!

Every time someone tells me that they are "for animal rights" I look to see if they are wearing any leather. And, almost always, they are (shoes and purses are a dead giveaway). I guess cows don't count, huh?

I guess I don't understand why these people have to release RATS and stuff when there are REAL issues facing this world. Pam boycotting Kentucky Fried Chicken because they are not nice enough to CHICKENS makes me laugh every time I hear it. I think maybe she should boycott the restaurant because many hundreds of moons ago, I used to work at Kentucky Fried Chicken and we used to throw those chicken around like frisbees.

I know there are some dang fools out there who do not approve of this marriage, but I say that if all of us could have as wonderful of a man as Seal seems to be, there would be a lot of very happy women out there. The way he took Heidi's daughter and treated her as his own from the very beginning was so incredibly moving to me. Photos of him holding his son and feeding his daughter are some of the cutest I've ever seen. When he said this is his second child, he won the hearts of millions of women. I think she saw a meal ticket to the A Team. Plus, poor Paul was reeling from the loss of Linda and his cock was flattered by this young pretty thing's attention. OH GOD, I hope so!!! I'm totally for Paul walking away with his money and his freedom and she limping (so sorry) away with a shattered reputation and maybe a little chip out of the monumental ego.

I think that would piss me off the most. I would come home and there would be money on the counter and the fridge would be cleared out. I'd have to go to the store and buy stuff for dinner, because she literally ate everything in the house. Luckily, it was my condo and I kicked her out after 4 months. She was ASTOUNDED when I told her I couldn't take her throwing up anymore. She had the NERVE to look at me with innocent eyes and say, I just have a lot of people over while you're at work. OH, OK.

I think that woman is sick. She throws up...look at her teeth, and then look at her skeletal body. I do not find this one iota attractive. She's the kind who would throw up a couple of cheetos. I had a roommate like that, and it was just awful. She ran 10 miles a day too. She also ate all my food and threw it all up. She looked just like this girl, down to the body and teeth.

Sounds to me after reading these articles that she is devestated to lose her meal ticket to the big time. Paul and Linda seemed so grounded to me and their kids so sane. I BET they hate this broad. There is a part of me, though, that thinks if Oprah IS gay and Gayle IS her lover and she has been lying all this time, she is one of the biggest hypocrites in the world. Imagine what it would do for gays if she in fact was gay and came out. She has more money than almost anyone. If her stock plummeted, it wouldn't matter to her, and maybe she would be shown as a woman of principle. Plus, it would show mainstream America that LOVES her, that it is OK to be gay.
