I'm not sure she fully knew what she was getting in to. I'm not saying she was doe eyed innocent either, but I doubt she was 100% exposed to the complete inner workings of the CO$ from the outset. The more likely scenario is that Katie had no idea what she was getting Suri in to with Tom.

I'm really beginning to think TMZ's "source" is Katie herself.

I don't agree with the last sentence of that TMZ story. "Concocting" a lie implies a conscious act of making up an untruth. The story she gave the cops most likely rolled off her tongue with the same degree of forethought as if they had asked her name, date of birth, or what time is last call at the Chateau Marmont. It's not like Teflon Lilo is going to see one second of jail time anyways.

If I were the Lifetime movie insurer, I know I'd be demanding them..... I agree, but what would they do with that info? Anyone know if they can build some sort of caveat of "non pay" if Lilo is found to be using? (which we all know she is) I would hope there's a contractual clause or fifteen involving any production losses associated with Lilo's extracurricular activities.

Allie Grant is awesome! She was one of my favorite characters in"Weeds" as well.

I wonder if there's also a part of Tori that is desperate to create a family the only way she can at this point. God knows there is nothing there where her mother is concerned and I'm guessing that she's not particularly close to her brother Randy either.

Sadly, I don't think Lindsay has any friends. Hangers on and sycophants, yes, but not friends who truly care about her well being.

No kidding Princess! How she doesn't know or her people don't know that her best look ever was with her red hair is beyond me. She was stunning. No other hair color worked the way the red did. I suspect one of two things is happening here. Either White Oprah is handling the PR and is oblivious to the fact that Lindsay looks anything but mah-velous....or someone other than WO is handling the PR and is being summarily ignored and/or fired when telling Lindsay that the bleach fried blonde is a big fat no.

This sounds like a total copout. It takes hardly any time at all to coordinate a simple ceremony at the local courthouse, JP, Vegas, etc. if getting married is what is truly important to them and to branchop's point, the families should be pretty well blended after 4 plus years. Something doesn't add up here.

I actually always kinda thought that her kids were older and just no longer spend that much time with their folks (aren't they in college now??). The other issue is (per Ted C.), Nicole only cares about herself - even if she could spend more time with her kids, I don't think she'd want to... But Isabella and Connor were all of 8 and 6 when Tom and Nicole divorced in 2001. I'm hard pressed to see how their feelings would have had any bearing on the ultimate custody arrangements given their ages at the time.

Access to Suri..... Agreed, but isn't Katie smart enough to have that detail worked out in the first agreement?? I don't know if Katie is smart enough, but her dad is a lawyer, isn't he? And a divorce attorney at that, IIRC. However, that's still no guarantee that any custody issues would be worked out 100% in Katie's favor.

Why stop at the Red Carpet? Let's get rid of both of them completely.

The news of Murphy's departure came Wednesday, a day after Ratner quit as producer of the Feb. 26 show. Ratner left amid criticism of his use of a pejorative term for gay men in a question-and-answer session at a screening of his action comedy "Tower Heist," which stars Murphy and Ben Stiller. Murphy said in a news release from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that he had looked forward to playing host at the Oscars but that he understands and supports "each party's decision with regard to a change of producers."

Lindsay Lohan checks in and out of LA County jail APAP – 2 hours 22 minutes ago LYNWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Lindsay Lohan was released from a Los Angeles County jail early Monday, less than five hours after she arrived at the suburban women's lockup to serve a 30-day sentence for violating probation. The "Mean Girls" actress was booked into the Century Regional Detention facility in Lynwood at 8:50 p.m. Sunday, in what was expected to be a short stay because of jail overcrowding. Deputy Tony Moore said Lohan was released early Monday, but didn't have an exact time. News crews staking out the jail said she left at 1:40 a.m. in a black Cadillac Escalade sport utility vehicle, and that she was in her Venice home by 2 a.m. Lohan had until Nov. 9 to report to the jail. It's Lohan's fifth jail sentence since being arrested twice for drunken driving in 2007. On Wednesday, a judge ordered jail time because Lohan recently violated court orders by getting booted from a community service assignment at a women's shelter. The judge imposed a complicated sentence, telling Lohan that she will now have to perform all of her community service at the county morgue or risk serving an additional 270 days in jail. The sentence also requires Lohan to undergo psychotherapy sessions and appear monthly at court hearings between December and March. The judge also said Lohan can no longer leave the country and needs the permission of her new "no-nonsense" probation officer to travel outside California. Jail overcrowding has led to significantly shortened jail terms. In 2007, Lohan spent 84 minutes at the jail before being released, and in the past she has served about 20 percent of her sentence, which is roughly six days. Lohan will have to serve 423 hours at the county morgue, where for nearly two weeks she has been mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms and washing dirty sheets. ____________________________ I don't think anybody on this planet was expecting her to serve the full sentence, but really....5 hours for her 5th sentence??? Jail obviously hasn't done her any good so why not just spare the taxpayers the expense of the dog and pony show.

Well, Michael Lohan DOES know a thing or two about jail.......
