It's entirely possible to do this pain free. Okay -- how? Does it help to be a ninth-level (or whatever) Scientologist? Even the men I know need band-aids or body glide on their nipples to finish a marathon without pain and bleeding. Luck, the right shirt, and nipples of steel???

I'd guess the part of Thanksgiving that she really hates is the eating. Angie really needs to STFU.

As opposed to a "miracle baby"?????

Hasn't this movie been in the works for years and years?

When's the Betty Ford bill due?

Now I wish I wrote in Helena Bonham Carter, if for no other reason than the Tim Burton factor.....

Happy birthday to you as well, KikiTopaz! My impression of Kelly, John, and Scientology scene is the same as yours.

When she went bald, you mean? That was sort of a different statement. I believe at the time I thought - well, it's not what I'd want as a permanent look, but damn, does she have amazing cheekbones..... IIRC, Natalie Portman went short for her role in "V for Vendetta" whereas Emma went short for purely personal reasons. The Minivan Majority seems a lot more forgiving of drastic changes in appearance from the Hollywood norm when it is role related, almost as if there is an implicit assumption that normalcy will be restored once the role in question is completed. I'm personally not bothered either way. It's only hair, and unless we're talking alopecia or Britney Spears, it will grow back eventually should the wearer of a shorter style change his or her mind.

How refreshing to read that they kept this under wraps for 2 to 6 weeks before officially announcing, as opposed to Tweeting to the free world the second the proposal was accepted. Congratulations to the happy couple.

I also voted none of them, but with the qualifier that it would be by choice and not because they are screwed. It also wouldn't surprise me if any of them achieved career brilliance completely outside of acting.

Isn't HE the has-been with no prospects? They'll get married. Poor fool should've gone to Wharton.....To announce the engagement the same week as Nick & Vanessa is beyond pathetic.... Jessica herself announcing the engagement the same week as Nick & Vanessa far surpasses "beyond pathetic".......let the race to pregnancy begin.

Today??? :4biggrin: Happy Birthday Maxie--hope you've got something wonderful planned! It is, Hihomumio...and thank you. Happy 3rd ChitChat anniversary to you as well.

I will just cry if I wind up sharing a "birthday" with this baby....

I don't mind the pixie cut. The dress, on the other hand......

I think that's David Spade, but either way....very skeevy indeed.

I wonder if it's more a function of broadening the fan base. I get the impression that she's fairly relevant among a smaller circle (if that makes any sense).
-
It probably is. I'm just naturally jaded when it comes to celebrity nuptuals.

There's still plenty of time for this not to happen.

Thanks for the update, annabeast. It's so nice to hear that they continue to do well, especially in light of the apparent contestant recidivism rate over time. To be honest, I just can't get in to this season whatsoever. It seems like everyone on the cast is a 2.0 version of a previous contestant, many of whom I didn't really care for in the first place. My Dad worked in both Pittsburgh and Detroit for many years, so I completely understand the whole foreign auto stigma. OTOH, it's not like Drea paid anything other than income taxes for the car so hopefully she doesn't get too much grief.

Such a shame that they have to resort to such nonsense, if that is in fact what's happening. I'm a big believer in the sanctity of marriage myself, but that said....assuming that all parties involved are consenting adults who are aware of the situation, then live and let live.

Damn! This also shows just how much work she's had done to her face too.
-
I watch the show primarily for Berta and Evelyn as they always leave me in stitches. I don't even consider Charlie's role acting because let's face it, he's not exactly flexing any thespian muscles in this role.
-
Saving face, I'm sure.

It probably wouldn't hurt to add Fran Drescher to that list as well.....just to be safe.
