Got it. But rereading the blind, it seems like there are actually two people in it, right? The recent song release by a “singer” and then the new one that’s not that bad, but still bad. So Rihanna is the second one. Who is the first?

I read this to only be about Rihanna.   "Singer" is a dig at her vocal abilities - or lack thereof.  She's been criticized for being a weak/bad/heavily autotuned singer since the "Umbrella" days.  Fakey's apparently come around to this line of thought as it applies to her newest release.

It’s weird that her kids aren’t coming, right? I mean the family, sure, but her kids? Does she have any relationship with them?

I suspect any relationship she has with with her sons is one of financial support.

Though to be fair, I probably would also pass on the chance of seeing my mother twirling around naked too.

  3. Maxiedad and I have been watching the live broadcasts on CNN, so I can't speak to streaming options.  The first season was supposed to stream on CNN+, which obviously didn't happen.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first season but am on the fence with the second so far.  It wasn't bad but didn't seem to have the same charm as the first season, where he interacts with old Italian friends through his travels as opposed to strangers. His wife Felicity also makes an appearance in the first season - they married in Lake Como, so it's not at all forced.  It's a good watch if you enjoy Stanley and/or the Italian culture.  You may be disappointed if you go in to it expecting Anthony Bourdain 2.0 though.

  4. These weren't divorce papers.   Jason and Olivia never married.

I'm just spitballing here, but I do wonder whether Olivia has been evading this for a while which forced the issue of serving her at a place of work.  I also wonder whether she would have been ushered offstage and straight to a limo or something else that would have made it difficult to be a bit more discreet in the moment.   I have no dog in this hunt whatsoever, but the bottom line is that the process server has a deadline driven job to do.

  5. I get the impression that a lot of people either can't or are unwilling to acknowledge that a less than perfect victim is still a victim.  You don't have to like Amber in order to believe that she was abused.  Also, crimes can and do occur between two truly awful people.  It's not a zero sum game.

I've seen a lot of people defending the decision to have Andrew escort the Queen because he's her son. The reasoning goes you can't expect a mother to turn on her son even if he is a vile piece of crap (though you wouldn't blame her if she did either), which I generally agree with when it comes to regular people but Elizabeth is the Queen. She gets a boatload of money from the public and is given a position of power and influence so she doesn't get to act like a regular mother in public. She's supposed to belong to the people in a sense. Obviously, she can do what she wants in private. I don't begrudge her a relationship with her sexual predator son, but allowing him to escort her to an event in public doesn't just look bad, it's wrong, IMO.

Trust me - I am NOT defending the decision for Andrew to escort The Queen to a public event of any sort.  But I can see a circumstance where others might - optics and/or morality be d@mned.

  7. I *kind* of get Andrew escorting her strictly from a logistical standpoint.  He's also single.  An escort from Charles, William, or even Edward poses the issue of how their spouse gets down the aisle.  This doesn't outweigh or negate the terrible optics associated with trotting Andrew out so publicly in my opinion.

  8. An attorney who posts on another forum I follow chimed in that Alec's interview comments are rooted in legal theory, and specifically that spreading the blame if you will serves to reduce any damages paid out to the victim.  This attorney also noted that while the legal theory in question is widely used it's not really applicable for this fact pattern.

That said, I personally believe that Alec's attorneys must be cringing whenever he or Hilary (because let's face it - she ain't Spanish) open their mouths. Save the defense for a court of law and not the court of public opinion.

  9. This delta variant is scary stuff.  My fire engine red part of Virginia was barely complying with mask wearing before restrictions were for all intents and purposes lifted in mid-June.  Maxiedad and I just got back from the grocery store and we were the only ones masked even though we are fully vaccinated.  I would bet the mortgage that we were also one of the few at the grocery store who were fully vaccinated too.

    Because mah-freedumbs.

Other than the obvious ones, this celebrity is probably the biggest to make it from the briefcase show. She is also being interviewed for the tell all book about the alliterate one and has lots of great sugardaddy stories to share.

I think this is intended to be Chrissy Teigan but I highly doubt she has any tea to spill.  Chrissy was only on the show for 8 episodes per her IMDB bio and none of these shows ever overlapped with Meghan.  That time frame doesn't strike me as being conducive to picking up lots of great sugardaddy stories. 🤷‍♀️

I saw this on Twitter too, it’s fascinating just reading the anecdotal evidence people were responding with!

I'll just say that I can identify with the anecdotal evidence in this article.

It will be interesting to see whether there are any significant evidential differences observed between the various vaccines.  I'm especially curious about Moderna, as the recommended interval for the second dose is 28 days from the first.
