I did a search and did not see a thread like this. I am still irked over what happened to "Wings of Desire" (a beautiful film remade as Tinseltown treacle, "City of Angels"). I cannot believe anyone would let Adam Sandler do "Mr. Deeds."

My kids really liked it. I liked it until the men arrived. I guess I just felt as if there was so much CGI that I was practically watching an animated fim. I had heard such glowing reviews of it, and frankly I was disappointed. More badass women would have been better.

Rumors about RIchardson and Toback have been around forever. I thought Charlie Sheen was the name associated with the Coreys. Reiner would be shocking, especially since I just read an interview with him today where he said Weinstein was disgusting.

I was very disappointed by Meryl Streep's statement that she had no idea any of this was happening. I have to call BS on that; I knew about it, and I have no connections to the entertainment industry. I find it impossible to believe that Meryl Streep, Judi Dench, et al. were oblivious to what was happening.

Now we just need to fire his boss.

Peter? He was in Candor before joining Dauntless.

I only know one of these people by name - does that make me old? Michael B Jordan was Wallace on season 1 of The Wire. That's how I know him. Miles Teller I know thanks to the Divergent movies, which seem to follow me everywhere. I know all of these guys by name, athough I don't think I've seen Ephron in anything. I'm too old to even contemplate screwing any of them. :-(

That must have been one heck of a big steak.

I....want to not be happy about this. Sure, he was an asshole, but he's dead now, so..... http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/features/taibbi-roger-ailes-was-one-of-the-worst-americans-ever-w483013

I....want to not be happy about this. Sure, he was an asshole, but he's dead now, so..... I prefer to focus on the legacy left by a man of talent and greatness -- Chris Cornell.

I'm in shock; it doesn't seem real. What a voice. Such sad news. :-(

Keep calling your members of Congress. It's past time for them to do more than say that they are "troubled" and "concerned."

Speaking of the Washington Post, tonight they ran an opinion piece from Charles Krauthammer, of all people, calling Comey's firing a "political ax murder" and questioning the plausibility of all explanations for that decision that do not include the word " Russia." Of course, Agent Orange himself said in an interview today that he was motivated by frustration over the fact that the Russia investigations won't go away.

As much as I hope you are right, as long as craven, soulless, power-hungry creatures like Mitch McConnell run the Senate I am doubtful that anything other than mass protests (meaning, 50 million people, not five million) that shut down the country will force change. I called my members of Congress first thing this morning, to voice my support for the statements they already had made, but I know that my voice carries very little weight. We need some GOP leaders to show some spine and some decency and act in the best interest of the nation rather than in the best interest of their own careers. What's happening should transcend party lines; it ought to be a matter of basic decency, of commitment to what we say are our nation's values, to speak up and take action. It should be easy. History will judge our leaders, and us, for how we behave during this time.

It looked like there was a lot of excessive eyeliner; I didn't even recognize Claire Danes.

Wow. Clicking through those photos, ^^^^^^ Taraji Henson looks gorgeous. Chrissy Teigen always looks like the most fun. I do wish Nicole Kidman would stick with red hair. She looks so lovely on "Big Little Lies." Salma. Salma, Salma, Salma. Why? I have to admit I love Octavia Spencer's dress. I would buy it if I could, and I would find reasons to wear it. I like Kirsten Dunst's dress, although I am not sure how she can breathe in it. Laura Dern looks great. Mel Gibson brought his daughter, I hope. Is Michael Strahan wearing a blue velvet tux? I... kind of love it. WTF: Dakota Johnson, Jessica Biel (for the hair and makeup), Ginnifer Goodwin, Pharell Williams's date/ partner, "Blanca Blanco," who I am not convinced is wearing underwear. All in all, I see a lot of granny fashions, high necks and dresses that remind me of doilies and old bedspreads.

Now that we know that his tweets, talking points, and "policies" are shaped by the most recent guest on Fox News, well, I don't know if that makes me feel better or worse about things.

I don't know, I'm thinking that getting Rosie O'Donnell to play Bannon on SNL might be more effective.

You know, I read an interesting analysis of her "Formation" video, and I learned a lot from that analysis. But I've seen two critics now offer breathy, hyper-academic analyses of these photos, and in both cases I have come away with the feeling that they are trying too hard. Now, one could argue, convincingly, that much literary criticism is trying too hard and aims to give depth and substance to subjects that possess neither; sometimes, a cigar is just a cigar. But I really think these writers are overthinking their subject. Beyonce is a wildly successful entertainer and businesswoman, and I can see her wanting to control her image, of course, and I can see her wanting photos that remind people of Venus and goddesses of fertility. That all makes sense. But it's harder for me to believe that this level of detail, of exhaustive art history research, went into the planning of her photo shoot. And it's harder still for me to believe that her fans know or care about those details (but, hey, if these photos motivate people to learn more about art and symbolism, that's great!).

To be honest, it put the life back into mine. I think the quality of the man taking the medication is a big factor here.

I thought first episode was terrible, so bad that I was angry about the waste of my time and lost all interest in watching the other episodes.

I'm not seeing the difference in the Halle Berry and Jennifer Aniston photos. The Paris Hilton one is silly, given what she looked like before the "before" photo. She has had a lot more work done than just breast enhancement. The Tara Reid photos make me sad; she was super-cute before she started messing with her face and body.
