Iron Man Downey's Skin Wearing Thin? Bloated as they may be, Iron Man revenues are apparently still outpaced by the swelling ego of the film's star, the hard-bitten Robert Downey Jr. Or maybe the late-blooming blockbuster hero has just lost his tolerance for press junkets. Either way, reporters are all abuzz over his recent red carpet meltdown. Downey, 43, seemed generally fed up with questions and went on a tirade to one reporter who dared ask him his thoughts on the Iraq war (There are several references to the fighting in the comic book flick, and Downey's Tony Stark character is a defense contractor). "Downey went crazy. He jumped up and started screaming 'Fuck you!' over and over at the poor journalist" at the film's New York screening, an eyewitness tells Radar. As I read those recent diva articles I couldn't help but think about Heath Ledger's antics and mood swings when he did interviews and met the press. Fuck, I really think Hedda was right when she said Bobby was using again.

Well I'm no insider but I don't believe a word of it. Sounds just like those who claim that the darkness of the Joker character is to blame for Heath's insomnia and untimely death.

What the heck is wrong with Gyllenhaal? He doesn't realize she's staging this type of crap or calling in photogs for photo ops or is he in on it too? I'm sorry but he could do the nasty with Reese in front of the Ivy as 100 photographers take photos and I (and many others) will still think he's gay and closeted. At this point, he seems more pathetic than her. Jake, Jake, Jake... I still love that guy so much but I just can't figure out what's the deal for him in the long run. He's not a fool, comes from a HW family, knows how the business works, is certainly aware of how this whole "coupling" makes him look... Right now I think this is a professional deal - both with CAA, she having the upper hand (right now) and calling the shots, he being offered a way out of the "gay rumors" he couldn't refuse.. And now he's caught like a rat and has to dance to a song he finds extremely unpleasant. Am I sounding like a semi-superfan?

Don't know why but these pics made me think of Natalie Woods. I agree CZJ is not exacty the best actress under the sun but I loved her in Chicago.

Ever notice how happy and relaxed his daughter is with him and how tense she is with her mother? Yup. I wonder if this is because of Reese as a mother or because of Reese as the celebrity, meaning her being tense or pretending to be tense around paps, which would cause her children to be nervous when they're out with her in public.

He looks like a giant Ken doll made of some kind of strange extra-pliable rubber. He'll always be totally gross to me. Oh well, I guess I should have posted this on the Who Don't You Get thread.
