Thanks, Annabeast. I would kill for an animated gif of her breaking down in the court room. Geez...am I wrong for that? :4biggrin:

    Mel Gibson

Good point, fyk. But keep in mind Mel's influence isn't at all what it used to be (he was just dropped by the powerful agency, WME following the death of superagent Ed Limato). He did get arrested before in Malibu...I was surprised that even his mugshot and tirade got out back then, thanks to TMZ having an insider within the Sheriff's department who leaked the info. I think TMZ would get the info again if it went to the authorities first. Love TMZ or hate 'em...very little gets past them in this day and age.

    Mel Gibson

You all can imagine that Gibson is the talk of the town. I actually think he isn't finished, career wise. He already has a couple of movies coming out soon...and he has his own production company that he can produce/direct his own movies, even in Australia. So he probably will move forward when substantial time has passed. I'm not defending him...it's the nature of this business...unfortunately. With regards to the tape, violence, racial epithets, etc...I don't really have an opinion...except that this tape shouldn't be public knowledge. It should've been sent directly to the police (especially when it comes to alledged physical violence) and the girlfriend should've split whenever Mad Max put his hands on her. When something is made public...instead of going directly to the authorities, that arouses my suspicion. It's funny, but I surprised people who thought I would jump through the roof when all his stuff was made public. I guess I already knew he was crazy(from his arrest last time)...it's happened before, blah, blah, blah...he could be racist, sexist, violent...I can look at him and not be surprised. The only thing I'm really surprised about is that he hasn't taken the substance abuse defense and checked himself into rehab already. ETA: I don't think anyone on this board is defending Mel or saying the girlfriend asked for it...it's that this whole situation is not a surprise. And someone is trying to expose it as opposed to taking it to the authorities...which is what I was trying to convey.

Lindsay Lohan still broke and a mess

Lindsay Lohan Strikes Back At Joan Rivers First Posted: 07-14-10 09:28 AM | Lindsay Lohan has taken to Twitter to fight back against Joan Rivers, who last week tweeted a series of jokes about her alcohol problems and jail time ("I was just reading about the new Lindsay Lohan diet, which is all liquid. 80 proof"). "Joan Rivers and her 'stargument' make me believe that she and Michael Lohan are a match made in heaven," Lindsay tweeted on Tuesday. Lindsay's dad, Michael, is already engaged to Kate Major, Jon Gosselin's ex. "In the words of 50 cent, You shouldn't throw stones if you live in a glass house and if you got a glass jaw, you should watch yo mouth," she continued. "All he needs is her botox doctor. 'Dr.' Drew - any ideas? Botox rehab reality show?" "Thanks @lindsaylohan sounds like a terrific plan! Actually happy to see you have retained your sense of humor despite your circumstances," Dr. Drew responded. Lindsay's ex-girlfriend Sam Ronson rushed to her defense last week, tweeting, "Hey Joan Rivers, You have collagen older than Lindsay, pick on someone your own age, oh wait I guess people that old can't hear." On Tuesday Joan defended her Lindsay Lohan jokes to 'The Insider' and took a dig at 'skanky' Sam. "I think this ex-girlfriend, this deejay -- I thought it was a skinny boy when I first saw the picture -- came out doing jokes about me and Melissa. Why not worry about Lindsay Lohan? That girl is going to be dead in 10 years if somebody doesn't take care of her," Joan said. "The jokes, my God, were so minor. One was: She is not used to being in front of the bar; she is used to being under the bar. Silly little jokes that I put in my Twitter all the time. I suggest that this skanky little girl not worry about the jokes; worry about Lindsay. I find this insane that they are all feeding off of Lindsay. Maybe somebody should take care of Lindsay."

Samantha Ronson Defends Lindsay Lohan – Against Joan Rivers By Rennie Dyball Facebook Twitter E-mail Lindsay Lohan's ex, Samantha Ronson, has kept quiet on her former girlfriend's looming jail sentence – until Joan Rivers got involved. On Friday, the sharp-tongued Rivers took to her Twitter to slam Lohan in a series of scathing Tweets.
"Lindsay Lohan is so dumb. Her idea of being sworn in is cursing at the judge," wrote Rivers, in reference to the star's four-letter-word manicure. She also slammed Lohan's well-documented partying – "I was just reading about the new Lindsay Lohan diet, which is all liquid. 80 proof" – and referenced the judge who delivered her 90-day sentence. "Lindsay Lohan had 'F-ck you' painted on her nails. What people don't know is that the judge had 'Eat me you party skank,' painted on hers." Several hours later, Ronson got in on the Tweeting to defend Lohan.

"Hey Joan Rivers," she wrote. "You have collagen older than Lindsay, pick on someone your own age, oh wait I guess people that old can't hear."

Lindsay Lohan a No-Show at Her Own Birthday Bash By Dahvi Shira Facebook Twitter E-mail Bloggers were in a frenzy this week over news that Lindsay Lohan may be hitting the party scene just one day after being sentenced to 90 days in jail. But Lohan – who was reportedly expected to celebrate her belated birthday Wednesday night at her favorite Hollywood hotspot, Las Palmas – never surfaced. A source tells PEOPLE the troubled actress, 24, confirmed she would still have her party only hours before mysteriously not appearing. "Lindsay was planning to celebrate her birthday with the owners of Las Palmas, who are like family to her, and her friend Ferras, who was also celebrating his birthday that night." The Mean Girls star must have made a last-minute decision to keep things low-key. "Lindsay is not having her birthday @laspalmas!!!" her close pal Marcus Molinari Tweeted around midnight Thursday. "She is at home with friends and family!!! We wish her well and love her!!!"

Lohan's parents react to daughter's sentence 'This is so not fair to do to my child,' says actress’ mother Access Hollywood updated 7/7/2010 9:43:16 AM ET LOS ANGELES — Michael Lohan is distraught that his daughter, Lindsay Lohan, was sentenced to jail, but he has some hope following Tuesday's dramatic hearing in Los Angeles. "Dismay," Michael told Larry King on CNN's "Larry King Live," after the talk show host asked his reaction to Judge Marsha Revel's sentence for his daughter - 90 days in jail. "But at the same time, [a] little satisfaction that she's going to a rehab. But the last thing in the world I wanted was for my daughter to go to jail." According to Michael's attorney, Lisa Bloom, who appeared on "LKL" alongside the father and Dr. Drew Pinsky, the two wrote a letter to court, telling the judge that they did not want to see Lindsay go to jail, but instead rehab. Michael went on to say that jail is the wrong place for his daughter, who turned 24 last week. "Any kind of jail is harsh, especially for a young lady like Lindsay that doesn't need jail," he said. "I've been there myself and I know jail didn't do anything for me with my addictions." Michael continued to insist that his daughter needs help for what he has claimed for months, is an problem with prescription pills. Lindsay's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, previously told Access Hollywood that the actress considers Michael's claims defamatory. "Lisa, Dr. Drew and myself have been telling everybody that this girl needs a rehab, she needs help. [Dr. Drew] wanted to help her, he offered to help her a long time ago. If Lindsay's lawyer and Lindsay would have just listened to us, she would have been in a rehab, she would have been on a way to being clean and sober and have her life back," Michael said. "Instead, she got jail and rehab." When asked why he and Lindsay aren't on speaking terms presently, Michael claimed it had to do with his insistence that she go to rehab. "Because I'm speaking out, like I am today," he said. In related news, Dina Lohan, Lindsay's mother, who was not with her daughter in court on Tuesday (Michael and Lindsay's sister, Ali, both were in the courtroom), issued a statement to AOL's Popeater over her daughter's sentence. "This is so not fair to do to my child," she said. Copyright 2010 by NBC. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.

I stopped cheering enough to realize that this is California and she probably will serve a few days and have a premiere party after her release...I think Paris was sentenced to 45 days and got a shorter sentence (a week or two)...due to overcrowding, being rich, white...lol.

Lindsay Lohan sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating probation, skipping alcohol ed classes BY Tori Richards In Beverly Hills and Larry Mcshane In New York DAILY NEWS WRITERS Tuesday, July 6th 2010, 6:36 PM Lindsay Lohan is going to jail for 90 days. A Beverly Hills judge found Lohan violated probation on two DUI cases and sent the "Mean Girls" star away after a day-long hearing that left the actress in tears. "She comes and goes as she pleases," said irate Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel. "There's been a history of that. No excuses." Lohan was ordered to surrender on the morning of July 20. The stiff sentence came after a weepy Lohan - breaking down at times - made an emotional pitch to stay out of jail. "I'm not taking this as a joke," Lohan said through tears. "It's my life, it's my career." When Revel handed down the sentence - three times what prosecutors sought on the probation violation - Lohan wept on her lawyer's shoulder. Lohan missed seven scheduled alcohol education sessions between December 2009 and Monday, according to witness Cheryl Marshall, co-owner of the Right On facility. Lohan's excuses for skipping her sessions ran the gamut from no flights at a North Carolina airport to promoting a clothing line to the death of her uncle (although she did not attend his funeral). She had previously missed eight sessions, leading to a pointed letter sent to Lohan's lawyer last August. "Her excuses are endless and disrespectful," wrote John Marshall, who runs Right On with his daughter. Revel had ordered Lohan to attend weekly alcohol education classes - or face possible jail time for violating her probation. Lohan, 24, wore a black top, black pants and sunglasses when she arrived at court early for a hearing that could end up with her in jail. Revel - who ordered Lohan to wear a SCRAM bracelet in May - said she would not throw the onetime Disney star behind bars because of a positive reading for alcohol. Lohan tested negative for booze hours after the June 7 reading of .03 on the bracelet - less than two drinks. Prosecutor Danette Meyers had argued that the reading was a probation violation, and encouraged the judge to take a hard line against Lohan. "She clearly violated your order," Meyers argued before the judge spared Lohan. "It makes no sense to have it there if you're not going to abide by it, and there's no sanction." Lohan was nearly thrown in jail two months ago when she blew off a Los Angeles court appearance and was spotted hanging out aboard a yacht in the French Riviera. Revel was so infuriated that she instead revoked LiLo's probation and ordered the former child star to post $100,000 bail to avoid 180 days behind bars. She also ordered the hard-partying starlet to wear the alcohol-detecting ankle bracelet despite Lohan's concerns that it could affect her career. The case stems from a pair of 2007 DUI arrests, including one where Lohan drunkenly crashed her car into a Beverly Hills tree. She wound up spending 84 minutes in jail, and was placed on probation - which Revel extended for a year last October because of Lohan's failure to comply. Lindsay Lohan to Serve Jail Time After Violating Probation By: Steven James Snyder Topics: actress, alcohol education classes, arrested, California, court, custody, handcuffs, lindsay lohan, lohan, Marsha Revel The embattled actress was remanded into custody Tuesday in a California courtroom for being in violation of her probation. She is to serve 90 days in prison, followed by 90 days of in-patient treatment, after surrendering to the court on July 20. With Lohan having missed 7 out of 27 weeks in her alcohol-education program, judge Marsha Revel pronounced the decision around 3:25 p.m. local time, not only to those assembled in the court but also to a sizeable audience of Lohan observers around the globe, tuning in via live webcast. "I couldn't have been more clear," the judge said of her previous orders for Lohan, regarding the attending of classes. "The court does find her in violation." Lohan, through sobs, addressed the court just prior to sentencing: "I did do everything I was told, and did the best I could to balance jobs and showing up," she told the judge. "It's just been such a long haul I don't want you to think I don't respect you and your terms, because I really thought I was doing what I was supposed to do and I mean that with all my heart." Prior to Lohan's statement, Revel re-read for the defendant her previous orders that Lohan attend the classes each and every week - emphasizing that her precise orders directing attendance and completion of the coursework were not explicitly followed by the young star. Lindsay Lohan avoids jail time for possible probation violation, ordered to continue wearing SCRAM BY Tori Richards In Beverly Hills and Larry Mcshane DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITERS Tuesday, July 6th 2010, 1:16 PM Lindsay Lohan avoided jail Tuesday - but it may only be a temporary respite. A Beverly Hills judge said she wouldn't put the hard-partying "Mean Girl" behind bars after her alcohol-monitoring bracelet went off last month. But Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel was still considering throwing Lohan in jail for violating her probation by missing alcohol education sessions for a pair of DUI arrests. The judge is expected to rule later Tuesday. Lohan, 23, wore a black top, black pants and sunglasses when she arrived at court early for a hearing that could end up with her in jail. Revel - who ordered Lohan to wear the SCRAM bracelet in May - said she would not throw the one-time Disney star behind bars because of a positive reading for alcohol. She also ordered the hard-partying starlet to wear the alcohol-detecting ankle bracelet despite Lohan's concerns that it could affect her career. And the judge ordered weekly urine tests for the actress. The case stems from a pair of 2007 DUI arrests, including one where Lohan drunkenly crashed her car into a Beverly Hills tree. Elin Nordegren -- The $100 Million Woman 7/2/2010 11:07 AM PDT by TMZ Staff TMZ has learned ... Elin Nordegren will walk away from her marriage with Tiger Woods with approximately $100 million. As one source with direct knowledge of the terms of the divorce tells TMZ, "She'll be getting close to $100,000,000." There have been reports Elin would score $750 million, but we have confirmed that figure is wrong. Indeed, as we first reported, Tiger is not even worth $750 million. We're told his net worth is somewhere between $500 and $600 million. (BULL SH*T! He's definitely worth about a billion or more) The $100 million is way more than Elin would have received under the prenup. Sources say Elin will receive child support, but we do not know the specific amount. As for the $100 million figure ... this is not speculation ... it comes from sources with direct knowledge of the property settlement agreement. To put this in some perspective, Elin will be getting 10 times what Rachel Uchitel scored from Tiger.

    Helen Mirren

Since we deleted Celebrity Encounters...I happened to see at Jonah Hex premiere a few weeks ago...(for the record, Josh Brolin is tiny and has a huuuuuge head!!!) her and her hubby, Taylor Hackford being stopped by security, who didn't know who they were...so I was able to tell convince security to let them through. Mirren is gorgeous in person...I couldn't take my eyes off her and she smiled as they took it all in fun. I barely looked at her husband even though he directed one of my favorite movies, Dolores Claiborne. They seemed like nice people and didn't pitch a, "DO YOU KNOW WHO THE HELL WE ARE..'TUDE?"...which is a breath of fresh air. So funny (but sad) to try to explain to security that they were about to detain THE QUEEN and the Director of "Ray."
  22. Voted Renewal...her career hasn't necessarily lit up the sky. She stays until that (if it will ever happen).

    Britney Spears

Britney Spears in Child Abuse Probe, Report Says Published June 30, 2010 | NewsCore Troubled pop star Britney Spears was facing a probe into allegations Wednesday that she abused her two young sons, The Sun reported. Social workers were set to quiz her over claims she beat one with a belt and gave both food they were allergic to and which made them violently ill. The singer's former bodyguard Fernando Flores, who claimed he was forced to quit his job due to Britney's erratic behavior, approached investigators with the accusations. It is understood that the 28-year-old star strongly denied the claims and insisted she has never mistreated four-year-old Sean Preston and Jayden James, three. But Flores, 29, told the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services he felt Britney was too unstable to be left in charge of her sons. He feared her behavior could scar the youngsters for life. The children split their time between Toxic singer Britney's Beverly Hills mansion and dad Kevin Federline’s home.
